During the pandemic and while pregnant with her oldest daughter, Sam was laid off —an experience that ultimately led her to pursue a more aligned and purpose-driven career.She returned to school to become a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and completed advanced training in Nutrition Response Testing and Functional Lab Testing. Before launching her own practice, Samantha worked in a holistic nutrition clinic, where she gained hands-on experience supporting clients with a wide range of health concerns.Today, she brings both her clinical training and real-world experience to her work, taking a thoughtful, personalized approach to help her clients better understand their bodies and feel confident in their health.Sam currently lives in Massachusetts with her husband, Mike, and 2 girls, Zoey & Maeve. Kelsey sits down with certified postpartum doula and infant sleep consultant Chelsea Seapy to talk about the identity shifts that come with motherhood, learning to care for yourself while caring for others, and finding peace in the chaos of early parenting. Chelsea shares her journey from elementary music teacher and endurance athlete to working overnight with newborn families while raising two young children of her own. Together, they discuss the realities of postpartum life, mom guilt, therapy, social media boundaries, sleep deprivation, and the importance of community and self-care.Chelsea taught elementary music for a total of 9 years in 3 different states, and then made the switch to being a postpartum doula & pediatric sleep coach. She also started teaching newborn care and sleep classes this year, and that has been super fun. Now, she work overnights and coaches clients through the sleep training. Chelsea has 2 kids, 5 and 2. She gets to be home with them during the day and works overnights and virtual coaching.
