Five Minutes Nonreleasable

A real quick podcast that's mostly about whatever just happened in the world of lacrosse.

  1. 26

    Episode 26

If you like lacrosse, video games and snacks, this is very much the episode for you.

  2. 25

    Episode 25

Joey Spallina breaks the points record, I rank the most intriguing PLL drafts, and an all-time great makes a triumphant return.

  3. 24

    Episode 24

Lax twitter has itself a weekend, the PLL second player movement window has opened, and a new recommendation that claims to become your new obsession.

  4. 23

    Episode 23

The PLL and WLL schedules just came out, but this is a short podcast so I'm only talking about four tour stops. After that, a quick look at Carolina's Steven Brooks hiring and New York's tough offseason.

  5. 22

    Episode 22

The podcast returns to talk a very little bit about PLL player movement, but mainly to discuss the best things that happened in 2025.

  6. 21

    Episode 21

A funny thing happened to me in Philadelphia last weekend. On this episode, I'll tell you the story and the three important life lessons it provided.

  7. 20

    Episode 20

There's a new Oreo in town and you know we've got to talk about it. Also, the Rich Eisen show just welcomed its second and third PLL players in a two-week span - the kind of involvement that could be huge for the league and its players.

  8. 19

    Episode 19

It's an unacceptably long episode of Five Minutes Nonreleasable, and I swear I'll do better next time, but the postseason is here and there's plenty to discuss. This week, I've got five questions about various teams and players as we head into the playoffs.

  9. 18

    Episode 18

It's playoff time - except for the Archers and Cannons. After discussing the biggest event of the weekend, I talk about where these guys went wrong and what their front offices will be dealing with this offseason.

  10. 17

    Episode 17

This week's episode is about lacrosse dreams - not the ones you have when you're sleeping, but the things you'd most want to see happen in the world of the PLL. I've been keeping a running list of lacrosse dreams this summer, and now that I've finally put them out there, maybe they'll come true and make the world a better place. Probably not though.

  11. 16

    Episode 16

It's been a while, so I'll kick things off with a recommendation for some fine dining that's only available for a limited time. After that, let's talk about who currently deserves the title of "Most fascinating player in lacrosse" and why.

  12. 15

    Episode 15

Throwback weekend, throwback fashion (or a disturbing lack thereof), and the first jersey a PLL team should retire.

  13. 14

    Episode 14

First I kick things off with an exciting personal announcement, then I talk a little bit about lacrosse twitter, wrapping things up by introducing the inaugural class of the lacrosse twitter Hall of Fame.

  14. 13

    Episode 13

Using an incredibly complicated scientific formula perfected over the last two months, I discuss what each PLL coach brings to their respective post-game press conference.

  15. 12

    Episode 12

PLL All-Star voting has just gone live, so I discuss who's going on my first ballot and why. After that, I review the new collaboration from Selena Gomez and the good folks at Oreo.

  16. 11

    Episode 11

This week's pod begins with a very important scientific update, and ends with where we stand in the league's official fun rankings after week 2.

  17. 10

    Episode 10

The PLL season just started, and I was going to talk a very little bit about last week's games, but Jared Bernhardt went and signed with the Outlaws while I was recording, so we'll talk about games some other time.

  18. 9

    Episode 9

In this week's episode, I discuss what happened to last week's pod, the recent WLL All Star Draft, the latest class heading to the Pro Lacrosse Hall of Fame, and the players I think should join them next year.

  19. 8

    Episode 8

From draft picks to midfielders to award-winning writers, everybody's stepping away from the game. I'll tell you who's not stepping away though, the people who make Oreos. They're still going strong. In addition to all that, let's talk about the big surprises from my college draft survey, as well as the one question that didn't make the article.

  20. 7

    Episode 7

This week on Five Minutes Nonreleasable, one attackman joins the Boston Cannons, one leaves Boston (and the entire league), and one gorilla could absolutely whoop you and 99 other people.

  21. 6

    Episode 6

In this week's episode, I welcome a new sponsor, talk about Josh Byrne leaving the Carolina Chaos, and try out two brand-new limited-edition foods. Also, this episode is twice as long as the podcast name would suggest, which is simply unacceptable. I'll talk way less and/or faster next time.

  22. 5

    Episode 5

It's a quiet week across the league, but the draft talk is in full swing. I'm not making a mock draft, but I will give you four names I've been thinking about as far as where (or if) they'll play lacrosse this summer. Also, as promised last week, I'll discuss something dumb and non-lacrosse related as well.

  23. 4

    Episode 4

I swear I didn't set out to make a podcast about the California Redwoods, it's just that they keep on doing stuff, is all. This week we got a Redwoods-Chaos trade, both teams' official assistant coaching announcements, and some surprising roster news for Chaos fans. Finally, let's close things out by talking about punching dudes in the face, then we'll get you good folks on your way. As always, thanks for listening.

  24. 3

    Episode 3

This week's episode starts with Syracuse lacrosse, finishes with a tribute to Val Kilmer, and has some PLL coaching news in the middle. I feel like if somebody was going to do an impression of me, there's at least a 100% chance that they'd talk about these exact three topics. Also they'd probably sound a little like Kermit the Frog and it'd hurt my feelings.

  25. 2

    Episode 2

There's a 4,000 character limit in this box, so I could pretty much just put the whole transcript in here, but I'll just say this: Boston needs a new assistant coach (so do a bunch of other guys), and the 2022 Rookie of the Year is back - and promptly traded. A little April Fools talk to wrap things up and we'll have you out of here in no time.

  26. 1

    Episode 1

First, I tell you about the really short podcast I just made. Then I talk about the trade that just went down between the California Redwoods and Boston Cannons. Trader Joe Spallina, getting right back to business - you've got to love it. Also shout out to whoever came up with that nickname like 10 years ago. Anyway, I close things out with some amazing news, and then that's a wrap. Again, it's a really short podcast.
