Catherine Barnett - award winning poet, NYC professor, enlightener, and my dad's childhood friend
Catherine Barnett actually knew my dad when they went to Gunn High School together. When my dad suggested I reach out to Catherine, I did some background research and quickly recognized how creative and immersive she is. She is the author of 4 poetry collections and found her calling in teaching. She now teaches at NYU in a competitive graduate program for creative writing, where she challenges aspiring novelists of all different ages to connect to deeper layers of themselves and inspire them to constantly be an observer in life. And she never fails to write 3 pages a day :) Learn more about Catherine and her work here

Eavan - our fearless leader for the visually impaired
I could talk to Eavan (pronounced Evan) forever. My empathetic, Pisces queen! She was diagnosed with a rare disease called Stargardt, which basically causes degeneration of central vision. So while Eavan physically sees the world with a blurry center, the second you hear her, it’s crystal clear how bright, infectious, and genuinely uplifting she is.When she realized how few supportive, positive communities existed for people with different levels of blindness, she started BrightSide, to bring people on the blind spectrum together and form meaningful relationships with people who understand. Eavan is pure joy and sunshine, and I hope you feel that energy when you listen to her share her experiences.Where to Find Eavan and BrightSide: Eavan's Instagram Eavan's TikTok Brightside Instagram Where to donate

Q&A with ChatGPT
Of course, we kick things off with a good old-fashioned catch-up before diving into a Q&A. Now, I don’t exactly have the massive listenership (yet!) that floods bigger podcasts with questions—but Q&As are often my favorite part of any show.
