For What It's Nerd!

So many things to discuss! Here's a quick digest of all that has been circling this week and my brief thoughts on each of them (where possible)!

Ajax and I sit down to discuss some absolute cineam in that of The Odyssey - but as always trying to be as balanced as possible. I assure you there is critique to be had!

I really do feel, seeing his show develop as it is, that watching the original show for the first time ahead of the reboot was 100% worth it.

The trailers did not sell me on this movie, the early reviews had me doubting also - but watching it? Well, it wasn't SUPER but it was good.

Masters of the Universe is actually a very fun movie and I have to do my bit to help them along to a sequel, despite some elements that should be excised going forward...

What a nice pleasant surprise to get some delectable Spider-Man media from Sony, hopefully they can manage to make some more...

This video is what it says on the tin - I didn't find this movie as bad as I expected, or as others were implying it to be. Yes, it has problems but which Star Wars movie doesn't??

Look is this show good? Yes. Do I think it could be better and also better cultivate it's fandom? Yes, also.

This was like the MCU's Fantastic Four for me, in a weird way: Something I couldn't have possibly been more excited for and sadly it didn't quite hit that mark. I suppose that always happens after such a wait though.

We all knew Clayface would be different but it seems that degree is going to be much larger than we initially thought. Let's dive into some thoughts on that!

It's been a while since we've done a book haul, largely because I've not had occasion to read quite as much as this in ages! But here we are!

S05E01: So, About that Stranger Things Finale...

The sheer amount to cover in this one was a LOT. I'm glad to have managed to squeeze everything in - even if it meant being a little bit more broad on some of these topics!

As I said in this episode, Stanger Things isn't my usual arena, but I felt IO had to discuss this season, being both up to speed and having enjoyed it as I did so far! I'm very interested to see how it all ends.

I've been so excited to see the second half of Wicked, and whilst it definitely has some great moments - and Elphaba and Glinda still shine - the rest becomes all a little one dimensional to me.

So much to discuss this week when I genuinely didn't think there'd be much at all! And all things I'm very excited about/interested in!

This has been a pretty busy news week for all things nerd! Tater's here with me to break it all down!

I'm usually very able to see both sides of the Debate but this time all I can say is that I really don't think this is going to be good, and past mistakes prove it.

I've come to quickly appreciate Peacemaker as a show, only just having watched season 1 ready to tune in for season 2, and I am VERY invested! Excited to see more.

I wanted this series to be so much more than it was, and that is it's biggest let down in all honesty. It just didn't give enough of what was offered.

This movie is something I've waited for since before it was even announced, but it doesn't quite live up to the hype in the way I had imagined.

Two Shows that I'd probably enjoy a lot more if it didn't take an age and a day for them to come out.

James Gunn has managed to do it again, and this time with so much meaninful subtext and care for the source material.

The Jurassic franchise could do with innovating a bit more (in the right direction) but they still know how to make suspense and dinosaurs work...

A very middle of the road show but I feel like it had promise, a shame it wasn't given more confidence.

Quite a long episode this week as we try to reinvigorate the podcast, allowing for more segments as well as more guests!

Lots of anti-heroes & Villians to discuss this week! Let's dig into both the Thunderbolts* and Star War's Tales of the Underworld!

I found these first three episodes to be a mixed bag but overall successful, and I can't wait to see what comes next!

I honestly didn't at all expect some of these names to be announced, but now I think about it. It makes total sense for the comics they're adapting, even if it might be hard to deliver on screen.

Sometimes a character really does just need to develop-- and it really does need to be through tragedy now and again.

Would you be surprised if this was a way of drumming up early excitement for what's to come?

Okay so maybe this show isn't as generic or overdone as I first thought!

There's a lot of intriguing things going on in Brave New World in my opinion, let's break it down a little.

These movies both look incredibly intriguing, can't wait to check 'em out in a few months!

I disliked this more than What If? Season 3 and that's sayin' something...

I feel as if this show is too little too late for one of the most interesting concepts yet to be explored in the Federation...

This show needs to come out already, so it can answer a whole HOST of questions...
