Dr. Andrew Shatz is a highly-respected, board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced training in cataract surgery, medical and surgical management of glaucoma and retinal disease, as well as refractive and cosmetic eyelid surgery. Dr. Shatz has been performing LASIK vision correction surgery since 1999 and has been performing cosmetic and corrective eyelid surgery, cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgery for the last 8 years.Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Shatz attended McGill University. There, his research on the body's response to cancer was published in an internationally-recognized journal. Dr. Shatz received a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors, following which he performed a year of hospital-based research in Pathology. After University, Dr. Shatz attended the Medical College of Georgia, where he divided his surgical training between General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Ophthalmology.
