comedy4cast: It’s Coffee Break Time
When your coffee run never ends. In this latest tale from the strange-but-true world of Odd News we look at the dark side of coffee. If you've ever taken your laptop to a coffee shop to get some work done, you know the drill – by a cup, work a bit, then be on your way. But what happens when someone decides they like the vibe by the espresso machine a bit too much? We'll tell you about a peculiar new phenomenon in South Korea that has a major coffee chain scrambling to implement new rules. Find out what it takes to be a "cagongjok," and why a simple trip for a latte might turn into an all-day affair. And to celebrate the 20th anniversary of comedy4cast, we're unlocking the vault for another classic clip. Take a trip back to August 2005 and listen in on a conversation with a noted futurist. His job? To predict the next big thing in technology. What's his brilliant, earth-shattering prediction? Did it come true? Listen now to find out the groundbreaking answers.

comedy4cast: This SUV Cooks!
A ride for the person who needs everything. "Odd News PAC" is back! This time with a story about an SUV that is MORE than you need. But, since the Dog Days of Podcasting event is over for 2025, we'll be bringing you the remainder of this year's 31 Odd News stories with a totally made-up event: "Dog Days of Pumpkin Spice Season." In today's Odd News story, we're taking a look at a luxury vehicle that seems to have a few too many bells and whistles. What started as a partnership between a high-end automaker and a luxury appliance brand has resulted in a sort of Frankenstein-ish one-of-a-kind sports utility vehicle: the Lexus Monogram GX. It's perfect for a road trip. If, that is, you don't mind a little less space for passengers and cargo. In addition, as part of our Platinum Anniversary Celebration, marking 20 years of comedy4cast, we're pulling a classic episode out of the vault. Get ready to graduate with the Marx Brothers! This clip is from an episode that was released in 2006. It envisions Groucho as Professor Rufus T. Serenity giving a bizarre commencement speech. And, of course, Chico and Harpo are there too. There's even a Margaret Dumont-type foil ! Tune in to find out what strange and luxurious features are packed into this one-of-a-kind vehicle, and get a dose of classic comedy! Lending their voice in this episode is Bonnie Kenderdine.

comedy4cast: All The Right Angles
Engineers take a turn for the worse. In today's edition of Odd News PAC, we're talking about all the things that can make a daily commute a little more interesting, or in some cases, a lot more confusing. And one new bridge, in particular, has taken road hazards to a whole new level. There are plenty of design choices here that will leave you scratching your head. And gripping the steering wheel! The details are so wild, you'll have to hear the full story for yourself. Then, as we continue our celebration of 20 years of comedy4cast, we once again dig into the archives. Today's classic clip is from October 2011. Clinton brings in a memory expert to help him with his name-remembering skills. But rather than begin right away, Clinton first has the teacher try to help Cap, the Venus Arms Hotel & Towers old-as-dirt Bell Captain, improve his Swiss cheese memory. It’s a great example of the kind of confusion we specialize in here at comedy4cast. Hit the play button to get the full story on the bridge, and to hear what happens when a so-called memory expert meets his match!

comedy4cast: The Long Rest
A road trip so good, it's forgettable. A family road trip is the perfect way to make lasting memories. And in today's Odd News PAC story, a Parisian man certainly made some, although perhaps not the kind his family was hoping for. When a quick pit stop turns into a five-hour ball of confusion, we can only hope the rest of their trip went better. Listen for all the hilarious details. This is just one of many strange-but-true stories we're bringing you this month. Plus, we're celebrating the platinum anniversary of comedy4cast, or PAC for short, by capping off each episode with a classic clip. In this edition, we'll take you back to 2011, where Derrick and Rory discuss Android phones and a whole lot more. It will leave you questioning everything you know about technology. Whether you're curious about a road trip from hell or how many things can fall between other things, this episode has it all. So don't be left behind. Get on board, and let's go!

comedy4cast: Currently Trending
Finally, a snack that's shockingly good. In this installment of our Odd News series, we're zapping our way back in time to an unforgettable childhood experience. You know the one: that moment you did something your parents would have been horrified by, just to see what would happen. It's a story that involves the creation of a new snack. One that will please your taste buds. Or at least the tip of your tongue. We'll dive into the curious origins of this snack's inspiration and discover the secret behind its electrifying taste. And speaking of things that stand the test of time, we're celebrating our 20th anniversary all month long! For our classic clip this episode, we're rolling back the clock to 2010 for a clip from an episode titled, "Celebrating 5 years of not being featured on iTunes." It was a star-studded affair with fellow podcasting pioneers Brian Ibbott, Dan Klass, and C.C. Chapman bursting in to offer their unique brand of congratulations. It's a chaotic, hilarious look back at a simpler time in podcasting history. So grab your headphones and get ready for a trip down memory lane, whether it's through a shocking new snack or a classic comedy4cast moment.

comedy4cast: The Scarlett Speaker
These wolves seem uninterested in marriage. Hello, comedy4cast listeners and odd news enthusiasts! We're back with another installment in our month-long look at strange-but-true stories. This time, we're heading to the ranchlands of the American West, where a surprisingly modern solution is being used to solve a very old problem. When a rancher's cattle are being targeted by wolves, what's a person to do? The U.S. Department of Agriculture has an idea. And a high-tech one at that! This episode dives into the details of this high-flying approach to wildlife management. What's involved? Let's just say that these wolves are about to get an earful. You'll have to listen to find out just what kind of auditory assault these drones are bringing to the battle. After our main story, we're taking a trip back to the archives for our Platinum Anniversary (PAC) clip. This one is from an April 18, 2009 episode and features the one and only Jake Filbuster attempting to give a simple, straightforward commentary on a hot topic: Zombies. Jake has some very strong, very hilarious opinions on the living dead and why they may not be right for today's fast-paced world. Whether you're a long-time listener or this is your first time hearing Jake's unique brand of commentary, it's a classic that's not to be missed. So, click that "play" button and tune in to hear tales of tech and zombies. All in one show!

comedy4cast: Blue Pizza
An emotional slice of life. Today is #PizzaFriday, which means today's Odd News PAC story will cover another bizarre report involving our favorite food. We've all been there. The perfect pizza arrives, a cheesy, glorious beacon of happiness. But what if that slice of joy brought tears instead of a smile? And how is that even possible? We'll take a deep dish dive into a survey that reveals a surprising, and frankly, emotional, side of America's relationship with pizza. This is one pairing that might list its status as 'It's complicated." Find out what the problem is and some cheerful advice on how to patch things up with our pizza pies. Then, to celebrate our Platinum Anniversary (PAC!), we take a trip down comedy4cast memory lane. Today's classic clip is a fan favorite: a look back at some of the many, many corrections and apologies that we have had to make. So grab a slice and join us for a little Odd News and a lot of classic comedy4cast.
