It was Nurudeen Jimoh (a.k.a. LEGACY) the very disability icon of ONA-ARA local government area of Oyo State Nigeria in the last LG election in Oyo State who vied for the Councilship seat of Ward 9 in the election. He called me early this morning to inform me that I should call the party chairman of the party Prince Ogundipe to ask for what he (LEGACY) considered as my share from a purported largees of #250,000:00 / each leader for the coming Sallah of 31/3/2025. I summarily put him off with 'ok' and put off his call. I then wrote him that it's not like me to beg to be given from party fund in which I was not informed officially! I told him in about 5 followup text messages that if Hon. Akin Alabi is interested in getting a share to me, he would NORMALLY send his P.A. in ONA-ARA in the person of Comrade Ayo Lawal to tell me what to do as he usually does. I then sent a message to Hon. Sunmaila Oyetunde to hear what I was told. Hon. Sunmaila Oyetunde angrily called me back as annoyed: "Awon oloriburuku wo ni won fun o ni iru information iro bayen?". Akin Alabi, or defect to my house and leave PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES to him to manipulate, I don't even understand. This is a man I'm nominating as the Disability Assistant to Hon. Akin Alabi. We have written his nomination letter, signed it with the hands of the 2 chairmen of the Joint National Associations of People With Disabilities, JONAPWD in Egbeda and ONA-ARA and my signature as the overall leader of PWD in the two local government areas! The letter has been submitted to the office Comrade Wasiu Ayo Lawal, for eventual forwarding to Hon. Akin Alabi. This should be a lesson to me and all of us who are middle-class leaders in our great party APC not to rely on the information that our followers may give us. It's usually for ulterior motives and dangerous for party unity. To want to lead at divide and rule is a self-serving encapsulating DANGER for this party or any other association at any level. The message that Hon. Akin Alabi gave us on the day of the Mobility Aids Distribution program at Egbeda APC Party Office was that, "WE SHOULD ALL WORK TOGETHER TO ENSURE PARTY UNITY, WHICH ONLY CAN GIVE US OVERWHELMING MAJORITY VOTE IN THE NEXT ROUND OF ELECTIONS COME 2027" Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria Long live President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
