In by far the Illini's best game of the season, Illinois upset Oregon 109-77 behind the bench play of Jake Davis and Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn in the first half and the Illini starters in the second half. Illinois struggled to score early but was able to get into the interior and dominate the rebounding game to get a lead, then the shots started falling en route to the blowout victory. The non-conference season is (basically) over. Illinois finished the non-conference season going 2-2 against the SEC with their best wins over Arkansas and Missouri.
