From the Land Monthly - A Cleveland Sports and More Podcast

A monthly conversation about Cleveland sports, pop culture, fatherhood and life between a group of old friends who grew up together in the Land. The Guys, now in their mid 40s, get together at the end of every month for a lighthearted talk about the Cleveland Sports, National Sports and Pop Culture. the Guys rank the 10 biggest stories of the month and run them down from biggest to nonsense. Stick around after the closing music (1:12:00) for bloopers, some LeBron v. MJ talk and more draft nonsenseError: Gerber called the Guards the Cavs at the start of the Second Segment. What a rube. Error 2 – The Guys all predicted the series with the Raptors would end in 5, the Cavs lost yesterday in Game 4. So, those predictions are now all wrong. Monthly 10 From the Land - Episode 6-The Guys are back from hiatus and talking Guards roller coaster summer, Browns purgatory season predictions, TV, music, movies and C-Town’s most successful man.

Its Gettin’ Hot in Here… not really… Summer may be winding down, but the hot takes are just heating up (AI wrote that line). Gerber, Danko and Chuck return for another monthly show to wave goodbye to August and reluctantly acknowledge that fall is lurking around the corner like DeShaun Watson threatening to be healthy (also  AI!). The Guys throw back to their old format and start the 10 at home with a deep dive into the Guardians' roller coaster summer– the ups, downs, more downs and then some hope in the Wild Card race. The Guys look back at impressive players for the season and what needs to happen to keep that last glimmer of wild card hope gleaming. For their second segment (25:37), the Guys go Into Purgatory to preview what promises to be a potentially very long Browns 2025 season. They break down the QB situation (spoiler: it's complicated) and make their bold predictions for a season that kicks offagainst the Bengals. Will 40-year-old Joe Flacco lead this team to glory, or are we in for another winter of discontent? (AI again!) The Guys search for the team strength and try to find a hopeful tone while searching for the Browns’first win of the season.  The Guys close the show heading Off the Field (49:38), talking television, music, movies and more. The Guys start with their look at season 4 of The Bear (spoilers coming) and the best aspects of another strong season. The Guys end the night talking big Taylor Swift summer news and the new most successful person from Cleveland rankings. Stick around after the closing  music (1:21:01) for outtakes, bloopers and more NFL predictions.  Errors:Chuck said Guardians Manager SteveVogt’s record as manager was 142-19. That’s not right. It was 142-119. Chuck was only 100 losses off. Gerber said the Bear’s 3rd season came out this summer, it was actually the 4th. Gerber was only a whole season off. Danko did fine. In the final segment (58:34), the Guys really scrape the  bottom of the barrel to talk White Lotus Finale and the battle of goods v. evil. This month, the Guys look back at February and start with the Cleveland Cavs early month loss to the Celtics, the big trade that followed and the February 28th comeback win over the Celtics. Stick around after the closing music (1:12:20) for outtakes about acting, Chipotle and bald Easter trees. Errors – At one point Gerber referenced the Cavs trading for “Deante Hunter”, he probably meant De’Andre Hunter. But, maybe he was talking about Michigan independent film maker and video editor Deante Hunter.
