    Resident Evil 8 Village -- Winter's Expansion

Ya'll, Chris got that 'Rona, he's out for the week. Steph is covering by herself (I know, I know, everyone likes Chris best but c'mon, give her a chance!) She'll be talking about the new DLC for Resident Evil 8 Village. The Winter's Expansion adds the ability to play the WHOLE game from a new perspective (third person, that is). Shadows of Rose adds a new story mode to the proceedings. Also you get some new characters in mercenaries. If you care about that sort of thing. Wait, you can play as Lady Dimitrescu?!Tune in to find out how Steph, our resident Resident Evil superfan, liked her time with the expansion.

  3. 18

    Slime Rancher 2

We're back ya'll! Steph's fault we were gone, she's very sorry. Today we're talking bout the early access title Slime Rancher 2. Is it great? It's certainly slimy. But is it finished? Listen to find out!Spoiler: it's not finished.

  5. 16

Elden Ring and the Merits of Challenging Games

In today's rambling episode we talk about the greatest game of 2022 (so far). You may have heard of Elden Ring, it's the latest in a string of notoriously tough  games from the friendly folks at From Software. Are these games bad for you, or should you "get gud?"

  6. 15

    Animal Companions

We're back! It was Steph's fault you guys, all Steph. Chris definitely did his part and DEFINITELY didn't get sucked into Elden Ring and not edit a show for three long weeks. Anywho, today we're talking about our favorite animal companions in games. They're cute (sometimes), they're helpful (rarely), and they're not Pokemon (ever). Stop on by for our lively discussion of the best animal friends gaming has ever created.

  7. 14

We Can't Wait for the Steam Deck!

We're doing things a little differently today, instead of a specific game or genre, we're going to be talking about Valve's upcoming Steam Deck. It's a handheld PC that, if the specs are any indication, should be pretty powerful indeed. We are not sponsored or affiliate with Valve in any way, we're just nerds. Come join us as we discuss games we think will really shine on this powerhouse portable.

  8. 13

    Gentle Games: Terraria

We discuss the next title in our Gentle Games series: Terraria. An oldie but a goodie, Steph and Chris do a deep dive on what gives this 2D survival sandbox game released in 2011 such lasting appeal.

  9. 12

    Gentle Games: Astroneer

As part of our continuing series on gentle games, this week Chris and Steph talk about the lovely co-op game Astroneer. We had a blast with this game when we played it a few years ago and it has had many major updates since. Have a listen and find out why this gentle game might be just what you need in your life.

  10. 11

    Gentle Games: Stardew Valley

Today Steph and Chris delve into the first in a series on gentle games. We're starting it off with one of the most relaxed -- and relaxing -- games of all time. That's right folks, it's time to grab your straw hats and head on down to Stardew Valley with us!

  11. 10

A Beginner's Guide to VR Gaming

Today Steph takes us through the sometimes confusing (but always immersive) world of gaming in virtual reality. She walks us through the various headsets available, offers tips on dealing with nausea, and gives us a short list of the best VR games.

  12. 9

    Our Favorite Short Games

This week Steph's back! We'll be talking about shorter games, bite-sized experiences that you can knock out in one or two sittings. Sometimes you don't want to jump into a huge 90 hour JRPG. Maybe you have a huge backlog of games and finishing one up would make you feel better about all those poor, neglected games in your library. Fire one of these up and feel accomplished with a minimum of effort. That's the way you do it!

  13. 8

Hidden Gems on Xbox Game Pass

Steph's out this week so Chris will be walking you off the beaten path in search of great games you may not have heard of on Xbox GamePass. Tune in for great party and co-op games to play with family and friends, chill games to relax with, and some excellent Metroidvanias to boot. Thanks for listening.

  14. 7

    Healthy Habits for Gaming

Play better in 2022! We're looking forward to a new year and thinking about changes we can make in our gaming habits that could make us happier, healthier, and... sleepier? Chris really doesn't think you should bring your Switch to bed with you -- if you take one thing away from this episode, make it that. If you take two things away from it: then write us a review because, wow, that's pretty good, two things in just 30 minutes. Value!

  15. 6

The Best Games for the Holidays

The holidays can be magical for sure, but they can also be stressful. In this episode, Chris and Steph have you covered, recommending games that are good for groups, or solo. First, Steph goes through some games that can take the edge off in large social gatherings. In the second half, Chris suggests some excellent single-player games that capture the spirit of the season... and the terrible 90's movie tie-in game Home Alone for some reason. We're going live early this week to give listeners some extra time to listen before Christmas. Happy Holidays, everyone!

  16. 5

    Games for Anxiety

Steph and Chris are no strangers to anxiety, from panic attacks to lying awake at night filled with existential dread, to, well, back to panic attacks. Today we're going to share some of the games that have helped us deal with acute anxiety and manage general anxiety. Hope you like Solitaire!

  17. 4

    Slime Rancher

This is it -- Chris' favorite game of 2020! Or is it? No, but Steph really likes it -- tune in to find out what Slime Rancher offers in terms of relaxation, slime busting, and good old fashioned adorability.

  18. 3

    Psychonauts 2

What series from the early aughts just recently received a spiffy new entry that Chris and Steph can't wait to talk about? No, not Kingdom Hearts, the other one!

  19. 2

    Nostalgia in Gaming

Remembrance of games past. The inaugural episode of Game Therapy, where we wax nostalgic on games from our childhood, discuss ways for people to play the great games from days gone by, and trot out some of our personal favorites that always summon up those warm and fuzzies. Also, Steph uses "chock-a-block" in a sentence!
