DJ mixes are on MixCloud now @ https://www.mixcloud.com/garrickobyrne/ . I write songs, but I won't post the originals here until they get released proper. Working on an EP called Beautiful Lies. Until then, I just post covers and rough mixdowns so I can hear them in the car when the ear fatigue wears off and compare them to the flat monitors in the studio. Recently I've been acting: IMDb @ https://www.imdb.com/name/nm10956889/But I'm not stopping music making no matter how good or bad it ends up. And if I suck - fuck it. I'm doing it for ME.This account is mostly me testing new new gear, DAWs, equipment, and room from studio to car. And it's usually ALL first take vocals, mistakes, etc. so sorry. I'm not posting the good stuff - that's for the EP.Sometimes I get OCD and actually work on them for real, but mostly not. The shiny masters are on my hard drives. There ARE a few fun tracks in here though. And for you people downloading my stuff, feel free to DM me. I'm open to collabor

  1. Bought and Paid For

Bought and Paid For by Garrick Byrne

  2. Between The Bars (Elliot Smith Cover)

I always thought "Drink up" for each verse never made any sense, so I rewrote 2 lines, it and now it makes WAY more sense. No offense intended. Just flexing my creative muscles by standing on the shoulders of a beloved genius songwriter that I can identify with in MANY ways.

  3. Just a Dream - 4th Mix

DJ Garrick vs 4th Measure Men

  4. It's Going to Take Some Time This Time

If you don't dig the Carpenters, you are missing out. Think 1974. Think how hard it would be to put out totally Emo pop songs that were total hits and still tragic and hopeless and searching. And Karen's voice. Angelic. You can't deny that buttery velvet alto-soprano just squeezes your heart. RIP...

  5. It Could Be Sunshine

In the 80's we had old goth bands re-discovering psychedelia. And there was a really good non-hippy alt-psychedelic scene that most people missed out on Cuz Depeche Mode and the like got all the attention. So this is me trying a 21st century version of the Love and Rockets song from the 80's that...

  6. American Dream

The 80's actually had a damn good psychedelic era: Between UK Goth and Athens Georgia we had like 5 good bands. Old Cure and old Love & Rockets records. Go buy them, you post-hipster types with your laptops on stage and your thrift store Chess King mesh shirts...

  7. Good Bye

  8. Learn to Fly no chords

midi guitar experiment part 1. Deepest apologies to dave grohl for butchering his work.

  9. Stevie Knicks vs David Guetta - Remix/Mashup

Well this just plain works beautifully. If you're going to download and mix it into your set, you'll probably need to purchase Sunshine (the Original Mix) by David Guetta and then pitch it down 1 step. From there you can mix one this in. I tried pitching Stevie Knick up one instead, but she…

  10. Talk Talk vs No Doubt vs Prometheus
