I know I did, and as a matter of fact, it was one I spent trying to build my faith in prayer, and this song kept coming to my heart, and I decided to sing it. Before the throne by Shekinah glory. Shekinah Glory is a music group I love so much, as I feel like the lyrics of their songs capture the essence of intimacy with God. Fun fact: I also recently found out that Shekinah glory is a feminine way of making emphasis of the divine presence of the Lord descended in this world. Also, the good book has it that Moses was considered the only human to have risen beyond shekhinah into the sefirotic realm, which I do intend on studying more on. However, Shekinah means God’s divine presence in the world. Today, I will be doing a cover on Alpha and Omega an original by Israel and New breeds, a very common worship song I’m sure alot of people don't still know the artists behind. Alpha and omega is a gospel music that was release in the year 2005 which is a very long time from now hence, why I chose the song. Quite frankly speaking, I believe this song is a really exceptional one that was able to stand the test of time. Even after so many years, the glory of the lord still touches lives mine included and I believe that is the definition of a true gospel music. Basically this song really stood out to me because it is one that remains ever new even after so many years of it release unlike so many other song, I believe the power behind this song is one that cannot be argued. Before I kick off, I want to bid a special thank you to @lordbutterfly for this wonderful opportunity to express ourselves through the art of music. This song has been more like an anthem for me this week because my week has been so exhausting it like everywhere I turn, there’s some sort of problem or the other. It was like I had so much to do and my body kept fighting me at every point. I would wake up feeling cold, weak or just feeling so pessimistic to do anything. It like every day, I come to accept the race of school was just too demanding for me, it was just like the saying “The more you look the less you see” (a quote from Robert Browning’s poem 1855), except mine was more like the harder I work, the less result I get. The other day at choir rehersals, my choir director starting singing the song in between our closing prayers and I had not even realized when burst into tear.
