This is dedicated to our good friend Chris VanHyfte! Die hard Van Damme Fan and we hope to have him on to talk more JCVD in the future!  Bloodsport is one of those formative movies for us kids that grew up in the 70's and 80's! We all pine for the predator movie that would have had JCVD running around like an orange lobster! Look it up! Yo Frankie!!

This is the greatest Star Wars/Star Trek/Battlestar/(insert Sci-Fi) mash up ever!! Is there a movie out there where Ernest Borgnine doesn't play a dirtbag? If so, I have no interest in watching it!

A sweaty Jonathan Price? Check! Dialogue no human would say? Check! Creepy as hell Pam Grier? Check! This classic was wild!!

Hot Damn!! We got to go to Toronto to watch a Blue jays game and hang with our favorite dads from south of our boarder!! We tackle two apocalypse movies and basically solve the worlds problems!! Thank you Brien for the amazing edit!

Took a bit of time away for the summer but we're back to finish off the A-Busey-verse! Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a Blue Flame special (What?) you have to appreciate how this film influenced so many films in the years after it premiered! Busey did this film with brain damage, what's your excuse!

This is part of our A-Busey verse! There are buddy cop movies and there is Lethal Weapon! Amazing action and the best henchmen money can buy!!

So how did this pinched faced, lazy, unlikeable guy have such a run of successful films? Good supporting cast! Tommy Lee is frickin awesome and Gary Busey is a treasure! This film is truly something unique!

Hot Damn! This paved the way! So much has been said about this film that to even try is a waste of time, but that's what we do best! 

Oof! At what point in your film do you concede and say "Gonna let this fish die!"? Who knows. There's a saying in my industry "No body thinks their baby is ugly" but c'mon..... This one was rough. 

This film has some truly funny moments and...... some problematic moments.  Where were you when you saw this film? Our house probably!

We're back baby! This week we tackle our namesake! We do this with the help of the head of the Ham family: Brian Ham! The three of us discuss this colossus of a film and take some time to break each other's balls!

Extra special thanks the Infamous (more than famous?) Brien Ramsey of 3GDS for cutting this beautifully! 

The only new lore about this film that made us giggle was finding out Dar's real name!! Gold!! This is a wild, mish mash of popular films that bloody well should have been a Canon production! Missed opportunity boys!! 

The OG!! Our sweet top loading VHS machine got a workout as we played the hell out of this one! A pure classic with questionable Greek content!! Jump onto your stop motion Pegasus and ride em bareback as we talk about light Star Wars copywrite infringement!!  

I definitely thought this was a good movie even if some of our friends definitely didn't. I definitely thought it influenced my life at that point and I definitely knew it influenced my brother. If you definitely haven't seen this film I definitely suggest you do!! 

At this point, Antonio could do no wrong! This is the height of his coolness and the perfect movie for Rodriguez! There's a crap ton of first time collaborations and one of my favorite Danny Trejo characters! So jump in the ring and prove yourself to Christos! 

"You're still not having any fun Sean!" This whole film is batshit crazy! This isn't John Woo's first film done in America, but it kinda feels like it. It's lots of fun but there were some very strange choices. Like Travolta wiping his hands on everyone's faces!! 

I think Shakespeare was quoted saying "Losers whine about doing their best, winners go home and f*ck the prom queen". Say what you will about Michael Bay, this is one hell of a film. 

This is a favorite of ours! Chris was able to find some really interesting nuance of Hi's relationship to Smalls and I enjoyed Nic Cage making funny faces!! For real, this movie is fast paced, hilarious and stands the test of time! 

Oh man! We're big fans of soundtracks and this one is the tops!! Is there anything funnier than Tim Robbins spitting out a mouth full of teeth after getting cold cocked with a phone? No sir, there is not!! This ends our month (3 months?) of Cusack! 

He's slick, he's cool, and he's not about to unionize! John Cusack kicks ass in this wild film from a director with a shady past! We continue on the Cusack train with this hidden Gem! Popcorn!! 

Ah the 80's! Where dark topics were hilarious! We have a lot of love for this film, one of the first introductions to one of the coolest actors we know: Mr. Demian Slade or Johnny "Two Dollars" as we've known to call him! Remember when movies had inexplicable music numbers in them? Miss that? Well this film delivers! This film holds up in ways that truly surprised us! 

Once in a lifetime, a movie comes along that perfectly parodies a genre! Then this was made. This was a classic for us growing up and it's got some truly great moments in it. And some not so great. 

Awe yeah!! Get your shine box machine! Zero defects!! We've always loved this one and it was a joy to see it again! Sexy Meg Ryan, Ripped Dennis Quaid and a brilliant Marty Short! For reals!! 

Kay, watch Ian Holm in this movie. I sure he's sparked a whole sub genre kink about getting choked out with a sticky porno mag. Anyone? Just me......? What a kick ass film this is! The only thing that takes away from it is knowing that the jerk director of Blade Runner stole every aspect of world building from this director! If I was Ridley Scott, I'd think about suing!! 

They say consistency is the key to a good podcast! Well we say sporadic episodes are the key! Take that logic!  We took some cues from one of our favorite tough guys: Ernest Borgnine! Tune in to this tale of one man's struggle to run a cab service on a prison Island with surprisingly good theatre shows! Strap a couple of chandeliers to your Caddie and dodge some landmines in this blast of a film! 

We've sorted out our audio problems and have launched into this beast of a film! Holy crap this film! In our minds it holds up and has a powerhouse cast! On the other hand, it's frickin hilarious! To be a stunt man on this film probably ended your career! This is a stable sword and sandal film in our home!

We're back!! We took a wee bit of a break but are back to chat about our childhood films!! We are marking this the beginning of season 2!!What better way to kick this off than with our good friend Ross Smith! We talk about this buckwild movie and try to figure out the parenting beats! 

As an experiment, we're gonna start throwing in some shorter episodes about films we love minus the synapsis and get right to the meat of it! We talk about where we were when we saw it and our state of mind at the time. Sometimes you just gotta geek out about these films! 

This movie is the complete Arnie package: Infinitely quotable, brilliant action, a villain you hate and a love interest with zero chemistry! This is the movie where we learned that if you had your balls cut in half, you would begin to sing in a beautiful falsetto! This movie skyrocketed the acting careers of musicians and made Dweezil Zappa a household name! 

The precious Guzzoline! This film is all about family at it's heart. Lord Humungus was just looking out for his adopted family as he worked the shit out of that mic! He would grief when they were killed and put them in a time out choke hold when they were in a blood frenzy. He lived live a quarter kilometer at a time! 

Is Craig T. Nelson the Buster Keaton on this film? Find those God Damn Keys already!!! Sorry, sorry. We try to find out where Robbie is today and the amount of therapy he has needed. This film we a hoot and is the root cause of why Tristan struggles with Jello emotionally.

This one is dedicated to our buddy Marc who loves this film more than any other vampire film. Including Fright Night! Ah we're just hackin on ya Marc! This film created the mullet and one the award for most times Michael was said in a film! 

Is Tron the spiritual brother of Flash Gordon? Are there parallels to Spartacus layered within it's code? No. Not at all. But who cares!! This movie was amazing and if I still had the mini discs that came with the cereal boxes, you'd be gettin one right in the brain box just like Sark! Loved this film!!  

Okay...Okay. This film is so good for so many reasons!! Sure it's got a couple of flaws like cultural appropriation and the French but generally it's amazing! The iconic Silhouette,  the hat, the whip and all that God stuff! Just awesome!! We can't say enough about it so 'nuff said! 

(Epic voice) In a world where titans in the: amateur, movie related, dad bod podcasting arena meet. You can bet something explosive will happen! Well. That. Just. Happened! We had the pleasure to riff with all 4 of the 3 Geeky Dads (https://www.3gdpodcast.com/) about one of the finest batman movies ever!! This one was pure joy! 

Welcome to montage the movie! This movie is so efficient you could do it in 10 minutes (although we take about an hour and twenty to talk about it)! The first introduction of Mr. T who is frickin awesome in this!! A film that laughs in the face of blocking punches with anything but your head! Brain damage? That didn't exist in Regan's America!! Ding ding!

Yes! Let me end the debate right here and now! This. Is. Alan Rickman's first American action movie! There! Let's put that to bed finally! We talk the crap out of this movie with our brother from a mother that was not our mother: Chad Fletcher!! Always a blast to have this guy on!

Wow.....Just wow. This is the first film I ever saw on a VHS player and I had forgotten how buck wild it is!! There is a deep rabbit hole of behind the scenes drama but we may have stumbled on something else.... something familiar!  

Oof! this is a long one! There is so much to unpack in this phenomenal movie! We gave ourselves nose bleeds trying to puzzle out: Time travel, how Doc's house burnt down and how setting every clock in your house to be 25 minutes slow constitutes an "Experiment"! 

This one (a little late because... well because life!) Had us Revvin' up your engine Listen to her howlin' roar, Metal under tension Beggin' you to touch and go!  You know what I'm talkin about!! There are layers to this like pullin an S turn while inverted and feelin the need for speed!  Enjoy!! 

The great thing about this comedy is how dark it really is!! Danny D was straight up gonna kill Billy's ex-wife! Like for reals!! There is so much to unpack about this master piece and we did it.... Nuff Said. We had fun, hope you do too! 

This film scared the crap out of us growing up! It was top shelf horror with all the gore you could stomach! Upon this revisit...... It's got a couple of holes (not just the ones in Frank! Am I right! Bam!). I'm a big fan of Clive Barker, he know horror. More so, he knows how to write a Sexpest (pretty much every male in this film!)

By Crom this is a real favorite of ours!! I even made my own wheel of pain in our backyard so that I could give the neighborhood kids a place to train for their gladiatorial bouts! This did not end well.... But this film!!!! 

When life gives you lemons, get your duffel bag full of guns and head to a Whammy burger (Breakfast ends at 11)! Man this one was wild to view from an adult(ish) perspective! Here's a challenge: watch this film and mark the point you stop cheering for D-Fens! Had a blast chatting with my Broseph about this one! 

We roped Marc and Brien from 3 Geeky dads (https://www.3gdpodcast.com/) to talk about this one! I haven't laughed this hard in a long time! We explore the best recruitment method ever: be awesome at a video game and the be put in charge of the deadliest vehicle in the universe!! Sound plan!

Oh boy! We are huge fantasy fans due to this film! Two masters of their craft (Bakshi and Frazetta) Make this stunning, action packed romp that we watched for reasons other than the articles.... Have a listen as we strip down to our purple underwear and talk about this absolute powerhouse of an animated movie! 

If there was a day where we didn't quote this movie, it's cause we were in a coma! There is so much to love about this film! This is Chevy at his peak! We get to talk Fletch with our honorary brother Chad "Fletch" Fletcher! This episode dedicated to our good friend: John Cock-toast-son! 

This was one of my first forays into superhero movies (and how to pronounce "M" words without lips)! Raimi will always be near and dear to our hearts and he really knocked one out with this one! Here's another film that we quote on a daily basis (funny how similar our lives are to Darkman... We should probably look into that... Meh). We enjoyed this, we dare you to as well! Double dare! 

We sat our brother's from other mothers (Phil and Steve) down and talked Goondocks! Is it like, a suburb in Astoria or... I don't get it. This film is thought of fondly for it's influence on how people rip up shady contracts, throw them in the air and expect people to cheer. Guaranteed every time!! A great chat with these two wonderful gentlemen and a deep dive into Goon culture that has never been done before!
