God’s Family Plan: Establishing Generational Blessing

God has a family plan for each of us (Psalm 68:5-6), a plan to prosper and not harm us (Jeremiah 29:11). For some, the thought that God would use family, especially their family, as an instrument of blessing may be unthinkable, even troubling. Regardless of the dysfunction, abuse, rejection or abandonment we may associate with our personal family experience, God’s Family Plan offers a strategy for redemption and recovery. Holy Spirit is inviting all of us to establish the foundation of generational blessing according to the biblical principles and perspective of God’s family plan. God's Family Plan: Establishing Generational Blessing is available in paperback on Amazon.com.

    The Rescue of "Dude 44B"

Send us Fan MailThe Rescue of Dude 44BDude 44B is the title the United States military used to reference the Weapons Systems Operator, also known as WSO – Dude 44B, that ejected from the F-15E Strike Eagle. The plane was shot down over Iran and 2 days later Dude 44B was miraculously rescued late on Saturday, April 4, 2026.The information I’m sharing about that rescue operation was reported at press conferences presented by General Dan Caine, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  If you have not listened to General Caine’s reports, I encourage you to do so. He provides detailed unclassified information about military operations and always expresses pride, gratitude and admiration for military personnel. Based on the information that was provided by General Caine, there are important spiritual lessons that can be learned from the rescue of WSO – Dude 44B.

    A Season of Consequences

Send us Fan MailAs I woke up this morning, what I heard went something like this, “This is as the Ninth of Av for the Church in America.” For those who may not be familiar with the “Ninth of Av,” Av is a month on the Hebrew Calendar. It usually falls in a July/August time frame on our modern calendar. The Ninth day of Av was a significant decision day in the History of Israel. It has been referred to as “the saddest day on the Jewish calendar.” Numbers, Chapters 13 and 14, offer the Biblical account of a consequential decision that Israel made on the Ninth of Av that has impacted history from its origin in 1313 BC even into the modern era.In this, I believe that Holy Spirit is sending a “Love Warning” from the heart of God, to His Covenant Children in America.Tuesday, November 5th is a Ninth of Av day for America. It is a decision day that will have generational consequences. But it is a day that God will use to give us victory if we will take up and use the weapon He has placed in our hand.Gideon won a war with jars and trumpets. David won a battle with a rock. In this season, God has given His people a vote. Our vote on November 5th is a weapon of Spiritual warfare. Israel failed to pick up its weapons on the Ninth of Av, and the rest is history. If the Church in America will vote, and vote Biblical values, it will have generational consequences for good. It will open a portal of blessing over decades to come.

    Soaking in Healing

Send us Fan MailGod’s words are like seeds; when they have been planted, they will grow, mature, and bring forth an abundant harvest. In Isaiah 55:11 in the New King James Translation, God describes the process like this:“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void,But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”Here’s the same passage as written in The Passion Translation:“So also will be the word that I speak; It does not return to me unfulfilled. My word performs my purpose, And fulfills the mission I sent it out to accomplish.”The focus of this podcast is healing, more specifically what is written in the word of God about healing. In Romans 10:17, the Bible tells us that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”It is our prayer that by hearing healing scriptures you will be building upyour most holy faith for complete healing [Jude 1:20].A variety of Bible translations will be used in this podcast. Unless specifically noted, scriptures are taken from the New King James Translation (NKJV).Now, let’s begin soaking in the healing word of God.

    An Emerging Greater Glory Generation

Send us Fan MailOn December 8, 2018, I received a vision of a train emerging from darkness with bright lights illuminating the rails before it. As I have meditated on the meaning of this vision, I have come to understand this vision as insight into an Emerging Greater Glory Generation, a revelation of a new, powerful generational alignment that God is forming among those called according to His purpose. This vision contains prophetic insight for the ministry assignment of every generation of believer, young and old, regardless of age. This vision is a representation of the church advancing powerfully out of the darkness of religion and secularism, guided by a piercing light. One generation has prepared the right of way and laid the track to run on. The next generation takes up the light and moves it forward in ever-increasing glory, as in the days of Elijah and Elisha. As they move in the light of His glory, many generations are powerfully connected and aligned to assume the weight of a greater glory and the harvest it produces.According to Genesis 1:28 God’s intent for mankind from the beginning has been increase. 2 Corinthians 3:18 in the New King James Version tells us as believers, But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. The Amplified Version says it this way, And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.God’s intent is to advance us into a greater measure of His likeness and glory. In this era, when we think of the next emerging generation, many of us may tend to think of the Millennial Generation, However, what I see emerging are the young ones, the Post-Millennial generations, Gen Z and Generation Alpha, even the ones yet unborn. In the manner that God encouraged Abram (Genesis 15:5), God is encouraging us to look into the heavens and believe for the generations and nations that will be born by faith. Your children, or the children you minister to, as well as their present and/or future offspring are soil for the seeds of the Word to produce a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession (1 Peter 2:9), a Greater Glory Generation. My faith is reaching out for the children, the little ones and even the unborn as an Esther Generation. They are ones who “have come into the kingdom for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14). My reference to an Esther Generation is not in a gender sense, but in the sense of kingdom purpose, anointing and favor for their appointed season as a generation of deliverance and transformation. Scripture plainly teaches that the foundational responsibility to teach the children, for spiritual stewardship and development of the next generation, lies with their parents (Deuteronomy 6:7; 11:19-21). One of Abraham’s covenant responsibilities was to teach his children (Genesis 18:19). For a greater glory generation to emerge, it will require preparing parents to disciple the children. Training parents and supporting them is a pressing necessity as they assume accountability as the primary frontline minsters to their children. Our congregations are filled with people who were raised in dysfunctional homes. Not all Christians who are parents have the knowledge, skill or support to effectively minister to their children. Many born-again, Spirit-filled believers simply do not know how to be Christian parents.Just as Esther’s kinsman, Mordecai (Esther 2:5-7), assumed parental stewardship of the orphan Esther, this next generation will need spiritual “Mor

The Passover Paradigm: God's Timeless Household Strategy

Send us Fan MailThe title and concept for this session can be found in Chapter Two of a book my wife Kathie and I published in 2019 entitled “God’s Family Plan: Establishing Generational Blessing,” This book is available in the RockAware.co Online Store and on Amazon. I want to make some quick comments before we get into today’s podcast:1.     In this Session, Scripture readings are usually taken from the Amplified Bible, unless otherwise noted.2.     You may have some questions regarding the suitability of Passover as a topic of study for modern era Christians. Please bear with me. I hope to address most of those concerns as we move through the material in today’s Session. 3.     As an introduction and to add some context, I am going to move us through a really, really condensed version of Genesis 1:1 through Exodus 10: 29. So, let’s get started. From before the beginning, from before time began, God had a plan. In the book Genesis, God began unveiling His plan in time. His plan from before time, was implemented in the household of Adam and Eve. As succeeding generations were born, the household of Adam and Eve became a family. As families multiplied, they became tribes. As the tribes multiplied, they became a nation. In the concluding chapters of the Book of Genesis, the focus is upon the household of Jacob, son of Isaac, and grandson of Abraham. As the result of a great famine, Jacob and his household were forced to relocate from their homeland in Canaan into the land of Egypt. The 50th and final Chapter of Genesis records the burial of Jacob.Moving into the Book of Exodus, we find that over a period of more than 400 years the household of Jacob had grown into what would become known as the nation of Israel, a people so numerous that Pharaoh, King of Egypt feared them. Out of this fear, the Egyptians made slaves of the Israelites and even sought to kill their boy babies.Hearing the cries of the Israelites, God sent them a deliverer by the name of Moses. At the hand of Moses, God brought nine mighty and awful plagues against Egypt as a part of His plan to secure Israel’s freedom. It is at the point of a 10th and final plague we enter the story of Passover, The Passover Paradigm, and God’s Timeless Household Strategy. With that introduction, I want to keep on track as we move through this Session by focusing on the answers to four questions:1.     What is Passover?2.     Why should I care about Passover?3.     Why should I teach my children about Passover?4.     And finally, What is the Passover Paradigm?

EPISODE 2 - The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothing But The Truth

Send us Fan MailToday’s podcast is Part Two of “The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothing but The Truth.” All of the episodes in this series are focused on answering the question, “What on Earth is Going On???” We are going to be spending a lot of time in John’s gospel today. In John’s writing, Jesus offers significant insight into the subject of “The Truth.” With that in mind, John 18:37 and 38a will serve as an outline for today’s study. However, before I read this passage, I would like to set the stage. in these two verses, John shares with us a portion of Jesus’ interrogation by Pilate, the Roman Governor of Judea on the morning of the crucifixion. You might find it beneficial to read all of John 17 and 18, as well as Chapters 22 and 23 of Luke’s Gospel in order to more fully understand the context of what I am about to share. In the New King James Version, John 18:37 and 38a read as follows,Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?”In these two verses, we find two questions. The first is, “Are you a King?” Jesus’ reply to this question is translated somewhat differently in the various versions of the Bible. But, as you can see, in the New King James Version, Jesus’ response is clearly translated as in the affirmative. Yes, Jesus is a King. In the remainder of verse 37, Jesus offers a brief explanation of His kingly mission and purpose, for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. The phrase “bear witness” in the Greek text is “martureo.” It’s root is the word from which the get our word “martyr.” Jesus also said,“Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”What does it mean to be “of the truth.” The word translated “of” in this passage is “ek” in the Greek. Our Anglicized spelling is “e-k.” According to Strong’s Lexicon, “ek” is a primary preposition denoting origin (the point whence action or motion proceeds), from, out (of place, time, or cause;…).In other words, when our life is based in truth, when the truth is our source, we are given the ability to hear Jesus’ voice. In response to this answer, Pilate offers another question, “What is truth?”Whether Pilate offers us a rhetorical question, a philosophical question, or simply a dismissive response, when taken at face value, “What is truth?” is question of great importance. The answer to this question is foundational to our faith.

The Truth, Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth

Send us Fan MailToday’s episode is entitled “The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth.” With today’s podcast, we begin a series of podcasts that will explore the answer to the question, “What on Earth is Going On?”For many, the beginning of this decade, the decade of the twenty-twenties, may be characterized by three words: COVID, chaos and confusion. I am not sure that there is anyone on the planet who has not experienced the impact of these three in some form or another. If I began a list of news headlines from this period, it would be extensive. It would include everything from COVID lock downs and lockouts, to masks and vaccination mandates, to gender confusion and LGBTQ rights, parental rights in education, abortion, border and immigration issues, inflation, major supply chain disruptions, energy and environmental issues, January 6th, Hunter Biden, election integrity, political contentiousness, wars or rumors of wars around the globe, and you may be thinking of even more to add to the list. So, “What on earth is going on?” Even if you aren’t intentionally listening these days, you are likely to hear the sound of diverse and competing voices attempting to persuade you that they have the correct answer that question. The voices of a variety of political, social, environmental, and economic causes and perspectives are clamoring to convince the minds of the masses. Mainstream media, social media, plus a variety of digital news sources are competing for our attention and access to our devices 24/7, around the clock and from around the world. However, as a Spirit-filled follower of Jesus, I do not trust the secular media in any format to tell the “truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” I question the secular media’s ability to deliver information that is free from “spin” and unaffected by the bias and agenda of their owners and sponsors. And, most certainly, the secular media do not hold themselves accountable to either God or His Word. This is a season when we, as followers of Jesus, need to question the objectivity and perspective of every secular voice, even those we have trusted in a past season.

    Happy New Year! 2023

Send us Fan MailIn this New Year’s season as we begin 2023, it seems like a good time to listen, ponder, consider, and meditate about the year we are entering. Jesus said it’s important to live with discernment and an understanding of the times and seasons of our lives.During an encounter with the Jewish religious leaders of His day, Jesus rebuked them for not being able to interpret the signs of the times. In the Passion Translation of Matthew 16:3, Jesus spoke to them saying, “You’re so adept at forecasting the weather by looking at the sky, but you’re absolutely clueless in reading the obvious signs of the times.”Those of us that live in Oklahoma and the surrounding area put forth considerable effort to be aware of weather patterns and changes. We often listen to weather forecasts several times a day and sometimes from a variety of sources. I wonder, do we spend as much time and effort paying attention to the signs and seasons of the spiritual atmosphere around us? Do we take time to focus our attention on the ONE who really knows what’s happening and has all the answers?

    A Word on the Way

Send us Fan MailOn the way to church this Sunday, May 15th 2022, I heard a phrase: “I will not be obfuscated.”At that time, I didn’t know the meaning of the word “obfuscated.” It is not a word that I would normally use in everyday conversation. So, Kathie looked it up online while I continued to drive us to The Gate Church for pre-service prayer.Holy Spirit knows that I love words. My favorite TV show is wheel of fortune. I even like to invent words. So, in using the word “obfuscated” Holy Spirit knew how to challenge my curiosity and pique my interest. So, let me share with you what this word means and what I have come to understand that Holy Spirit wants to communicate in the phrase, “I will not be obfuscated.”

A Blessing For You & Your Household

Send us Fan MailFather God designed His master plan for humanity to be family-centered and multi-generational. According to Deuteronomy 6, God’s system - His commands, decrees, and regulations – are intended to bless you, your children and your grandchildren so that your entire family will enjoy long life and have prosperous years ahead of you.God’s plan is for each generation to bless the following generations. This truth is expressed in Psalm 145:4. It’s written like this in The Voice translation. One generation after another will celebrate Your great works; they will pass on the story of Your powerful acts to their children. -         Psalm 145:4, The VoiceAs a part of the older generation,  we bless you and all younger generations.  We want to bless you with the prayer found in Ephesians 3:14-21 as written in The Living Bible. This prayer was originally penned by the Apostle Paul for the entire Body of Christ. As I read the prayer, we decree and declare all the blessings found in these words over you and your whole family.

    Feeding the 5,012

Send us Fan MailAs Kathie and I were in a time of Bible reading and prayer, Holy Spirit spoke to me as Kathie was reading the account of the feeding of the 5,000 from Mark Chapter 6:30-44. Matthew, Chapter 14:13-21 and John 6:1-14 also contain accounts of feeding 5,000. Incidentally, there were likely 2-4 times that number of people that were fed in these accounts, because in that culture and time they only counted the men in their head count.I am not going to read these accounts to you, because you need to do that for your own understanding. But, I believe Holy Spirit has something to teach us out of the feeding of the 5,000 today.  With that in mind, I want us to look closely at those who participated in this miraculous event as described in the accounts of Matthew, Mark and John.

    Remember The Alamo Bowl!

Send us Fan MailThe title of today’s podcast is “Remember the Alamo Bowl!” It’s based on a Holy Spirit encounter my wife Kathie had on the morning of December 30th 2021, the morning after the Alamo Bowl was played.                                  In Kathie’s words, “I woke up seeing a special shoe; it was a pointed toe slider. Sliders are the kind of shoes that you just slip on; they are easy to put on because you just step into them. The upper part of this special shoe was a brilliant purple color. The top portion folded down like a boot that would protect the shin of a swashbuckling swordsman.  The sole and heel of the shoe was black. The shoe was visually striking and definitely an image that spoke of royalty.”Holy Spirit quickened 1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”Holy Spirit was emphasizing the authority of Believers. As Father God’s own special people, we have been called to leave all darkness behind and fully step in to our God given positions as kings and priests.[Revelation 1:6 and 5:10]Holy Spirit began pouring out revelation from the Alamo Bowl.” That’s quite unusual because Kathie is not a real fan of football and doesn’t really understand the details of the game. Kathie’s Holy Spirit encounter was what I would call a “Prophetic Parable.” More specifically, it is a parable that provides revelation and insight into the generational synergy that God is releasing in this season.  Again, in Kathie’s words, “Immediately, Holy Spirit made these revelations known to me.” Kathie was given six specific keys that unlocked the hidden revelation of this this year’s Alamo Bowl.

Daniel - A Prophet Prays For His Nation - ENCORE 2021

Send us Fan MailAlthough this was originally posted in the summer of 2020, I have been led to post it again. I believe this podcast is as relevant and urgent today (maybe more so) than it was when it was originally posted. For quite some time, I have been drawn to the Prophet Daniel’s intercessory prayer for Israel found in Daniel, Chapter 9….verses 1-19. In this passage, we find an example of “How to” pray for a nation gone astray. For us today…Daniel’s prayer offers valuable insight in how to effectively pray for America during this time of pandemic and chaos. Please understand…. This is not a rigid…legalistic formula…But, like the Lord’s Prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4…It is a teaching tool. I encourage you to prayerfully listen to this ENCORE PRESENTATION of "Daniel - A Prophet Prays For His Nation."

Send us Fan MailYou may have noticed that we haven’t posted a new podcast episode for a while. I have been in the process of writing what I believe will be multiple podcast episodes, but they just aren’t ready to post at this time. However, I can release to you what I heard this morning as I was preparing for breakfast and the day ahead. First of all, I heard “Stop, Look, Align.” I also heard, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” This morning’s revelation was what I would call a multi-channel revelation. I not only heard something in my spirit, But I saw something. I saw an old-fashioned railroad crossing sign. You know, the one with a big “X” mounted on a pole and the words “Stop, Look and Listen.” So, when I put it all together, It comes out, “Stop, Look, Listen and Align.”I want to take the next few minutes to unpack this…the revelation of the words, “Stop, Look, Listen and Align.”

The Word of the Day is Reconciliation

Send us Fan MailAs a frame of reference, I am recording this during the first week of August, 2021. Earlier this week while I was praying in the Spirit I began to hear a prophetic word. Holy Spirit is announcing, “The word of the day is “reconciliation.” As I have meditated on this word, I have discovered some insights I really must share with you.I want to begin by dissecting the key concepts of this prophetic word. The WORD of the day is reconciliation. The WORD…When I say the “word” of the day, it reminds me of The Apostle John’s message in the Book of Revelation to the seven churches in Asia Minor.  God is speaking. To some it may seem that He is silent, but He is not. As in the day of John the Revelator, He is speaking to the Churches. I believe that God has a message for the Body of Christ today. To this I can only add, He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying.Next, the word of the DAY is reconciliation. The key concept here is “DAY.”If you study the Biblical meaning of the word “day” in Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament Word’s, day does not always refer to a 24 hour period of time. Vines tells us that it can indicate “a period of undefined length marked by certain characteristics.” Such as “the day of small things in Zechariah 4:10; a period of time characterized by perplexity and distress in Isaiah 17:11. There is a time called “a day of salvation” in Isaiah 49:8…and the list could go on. So, when I say “The word of the day,” Holy Spirit is not limiting the application of the word that follows to a specific 24 hour time period, but it applies to a time and season and the characteristics of that period of time. In the phrase, The word of the day is reconciliation, Holy Spirit is addressing and emphasizing a characteristic that Father God wants to see manifested in His children during this season of time. Reconciliation is a remedy the Great Physician has prescribed for the Church and for all humanity alive on planet earth at this time in history. So, Holy Spirit is telling us that the word He is emphasizing at this time is Reconciliation. The word of the day is RECONCILIATION. And The final concept in this prophetic word is RECONCILIATION.So, let’s begin to unpack this word. This is not intended to be a comprehensive study on the topic of reconciliation. It will focus on what I sense are the key elements that Holy Spirit would emphasize now. There is more revelation stirring in my spirit, but we will see if Holy Spirit will have me share that possibly in future podcasts. But, for today, let’s dig into some of the things the Bible says about reconciliation by turning to 2 Corinthians 5:17-19. I am going to read from The Voice Bible… 17 Therefore, if anyone is united with the Anointed One, that person is a new creation. The old life is gone—and see—a new life has begun! 18 All of this is a gift from our Creator God, who has pursued us and brought us into a restored and healthy relationship with Him through the Anointed. And He has given us the same mission, the ministry of reconciliation, to bring others back to Him. 19 It is central to our good news that God was in the Anointed making things right between Himself and the world. This means He does not hold their sins against them. But it also means He charges us to proclaim the message that heals and restores our broken relationships with God and each other. Join me for today's podcast to hear more.

    Overcoming the Cycle of Calamity

Send us Fan MailI believe Holy Spirit is again speaking to believers through the Hebrew Calendar. Beginning at sundown July 17th …it will be Tisha B’ Av, or the 9th of Av…Av being the fifth month on the Hebrew calendar. Many of you may have never heard of Tisha B’ Av or the 9th of Av before today. But it is a significant date in both ancient and modern Israel. This is a date on the Hebrew calendar that offers Spiritual insight to you and me in this present day…There is revelation in Tisha B’ Av.Both Christian and Jewish sources observe that a series of horrific events have occurred on the 9th of Av. These events are so severe and blatantly obvious that they should not be considered as coincidental.  For this podcast, I am relying on source material found in the book “A Time to Advance” by Chuck Pierce with Dr. Robert Heidler and Dr. Heidler’s wife Linda. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in understanding the times and seasons and the significance of the Hebrew calendar to modern believers. On pages 282 and 283 of “A Time to Advance”, we find the following chronology of 9th of Av events:On Av 9 587 BC – The Babylonians destroyed Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem. On Av 9 70 AD – The Romans destroyed the second temple.Av 9 135 AD – Represents the final defeat of the Jews by Rome.On Av 9 1095 – The first Crusade was launched. Thousands of Jews were killed. On Av 9 1290 – The Jews were expelled from England. On Av 9 1492 – The Jews were expelled from Spain. On Av 9 1942 – The Jews were deported from the Warsaw ghetto to the death camps. On Av 9 2005 – The expulsion of the Jews from Gaza began.I will not delve into the details of these specific events on this podcast. But, you may want to at least Google these dates. However, there is one more 9th of Av event that I believe Holy Spirit would have us focus on today. Sources tell us this event occurred over 3,000 years ago and it is described in Numbers, Chapters 13 & 14. These chapters tell the story of the 12 spies that Moses sent from Kadesh Barnea to spy out Canaan, their Promised Land. Both Jewish and Christian sources agree that these spies offered the report of their findings on the 9th of Av. If you are familiar with this story, you will remember that it was upon the fear filled report of 10 of those spies that Israel as a nation rebelled against God, their inheritance and their destiny. It was their 9th of Av rebellion that sent Israel on a 40-year journey of wandering in the wilderness.First of all, the people of Israel were a people with a promise from God. They were promised the land of Canaan, a land that flows with milk and honey…a prosperous place to live. However, in their exploration of the promised land, they discovered walled cities and giants. When they saw the giants, ten of the twelve spies could only think about how small they were compared to these giants…as grasshoppers in their own eyes.As they focused on the giants, they forgot about the God of the Passover. They forgot about the God who parted the Red Sea. They forgot the God who provided manna and quail for their food. The forgot the God who fought with them against the Amalekites in Exodus Chapter 17. They did not remember the God who appeared on Mt. Sinai. The God who led them as a cloud and as a pillar of fire.Again and again, Israel complained because of the obstacles they faced in pursuit of their inheritance and destiny. I don’t know of a promised land without a few giants in it. You see, we have an adversary…1 Peter 5:8 in the New King James Version says it this way:Be [a]sober, be [b]vigilant; [c]because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.Don’t get paranoid or anything like th

The Power of Passover or The Passover Paradigm

Send us Fan MailSome of you may have been taught that Passover is a Jewish Holiday…An Old Testament event that Christians just don’t celebrate. Many years ago I learned “The Old is in the New contained and the New is in the Old explained. The New Testament is filled with quotes from the Old Testament and the Old Testament offers a prophetic understanding of the New Testament. For instance, If you want to understand what Jesus did for us through His death, burial and resurrection, you ought to include the Old Testament Book of Isaiah in your study…especially, Chapter 53.Even as a young denominational preacher, Holy Spirit led me to the understanding that the Book of Exodus has much to say to instruct our faith in Jesus and our journey into Christian wholeness and maturity. But, for today, I want to focus on the events of Exodus, Chapters five through twelve. It is in these chapters that Holy Spirt has more recently led me to what I have come to know as The Passover Paradigm.According to Merriam Webster’s Online Dictionary, a paradigm is an example or pattern…an outstandingly clear or typical example or archetype. By implication, it can be the original pattern or prototype of something. It is in this regard that Passover was originally instituted for the benefit of Israel, God’s covenant people. But, now it serves as a template or pattern that is designed to benefit those who have come into covenant relationship with God through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.

Send us Fan MailToday's episode begins with a reading of 1 Chronicles Chapter 12 verses 1 and 32 from the Amplified BibleVerse one says… These are the ones who came to David at Ziklag, while he still concealed himself from Saul the son of Kish; they were among the courageous men who helped him in battle. As we drop down to verse 32, we will find one particular group that joined themselves to David and his troup…Of the tribe of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, two hundred chiefs; and all their relatives were at their command; One of the battle assets that David and his mighty men possessed was a group of men from the Tribe of Issachar that understood the times and knew what Israel should do.The next reading is from Matthew, Chapter 16…verses 1-3….Also from the Amplified Bible…Now the Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and testing Jesus [to get something to use against Him], they asked Him to show them a sign from heaven [which would support His divine authority]. 2 But He replied to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ 3 And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and has a threatening look.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but cannot interpret the signs of the times?Notice that the Sons of Issachar could interpret the times…but these Scribes and Pharisees could not. From looking at Jesus’ words in this passage, It would appear that He was not altogether pleased that these Sadducees and Pharisees could not interpret the signs of the times. So, the question I ask today is, “How can we know the signs of the times?” How can we discern the times and understand what to do in this present modern era. Listen to today's podcast for insight and inspiration.

    Preparing For Twenty-Twenty-WON!

Send us Fan MailAfter all of the twists, turns and chaos of 2020…You may wonder what on earth is coming next and how do we get ready for it? How do we prepare for 2021? God can use anything to bring us the revelation and insight we need to prepare for the future.  Numbers, Chapter 22: verses 21-32 tell us how God used a talking donkey to warn a man named Balaam and spare his life.  So, it should not come as a big surprise to think that God would use something as ordinary as a calendar to instruct and prepare us for 2021.  As I speak to you today, we are only a matter of days from entering the new year. At this point we have experienced late fall and have entered early winter. This is a special time of the year…often referred to as the “the holiday season.” Here in the U.S. the holiday season begins around Thanksgiving and extends into the New Year. In this, if we properly understand the essence and meaning of this holiday season, it will help us to prepare for the new year.

    Miracles In Your Mouth

Send us Fan MailHoly Spirit has been nudging me to share this testimony. He is gentle but insistent and persistent. So here goes.It was the summer of 1988. Dave’s job required him to fly all over the nation and work for a week at a time in different locations. I was a teacher at the local Christian school but since it was summer I was at home.  Each Friday, before Dave got home for the week, I made sure the house was clean, the laundry was done and everything was taken care of so Dave and I could enjoy the weekend together. While I was busy scrubbing and vacuuming, I sensed Holy Spirit was calling me to prayer. At first I just prayed as I continued cleaning. But the quickening in my spirit became progressively stronger. A sense of urgency as well as a deepening intensity grew inside me. As I realized that this call to intercession was extremely serious, I went into the bedroom, knelt down by the bed and put my total focus on prayer. In my spirit, by the inward witness, I became increasingly aware that Holy Spirit was warning me that this was a matter of life and death. As I prayed, I knew that I knew that I knew that I was interceding for the life of my husband. In my spirit, I knew that the enemy had scheduled a major attack designed to take Dave out.  Listen to this podcast to learn about the miracle in Kathie's mouth and the miracle that can be in yours as well.

    Moving From Awful To Awesome

Send us Fan MailI believe It would be an oversimplification to say that these are distressing and trying times. In many respects, I believe these days fit the description and instruction found in Ephesians 5:15-16. I want read this passage from the Amplified Bible…. 15 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], 16 [a]making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.   To begin, Merriam-Webster.com defines “Awful” as “extremely disagreeable or objectionable.” Your financial situation may be “Awful.”Your family situation may be “Awful.”Your work situation may be “Awful.”Your health may be “Awful.”If you watch the network news…there is just an awful lot of awful in the world today. But, remember… God wants to move us from “Awful” to “Awesome.” Merriam-Webster.com defines “Awesome” as  “inspiring” “TERRIFIC, EXTRAORDINARY.” I believe God is telling us today that He wants to move us from the “extremely disagreeable or objectionable” to “inspiring” “TERRIFIC, EXTRAORDINARY.” I will spend the bulk of our time together today in visiting some Biblical examples of those who experienced success in their journey from “Awful to Awesome.”

    Topping Off Your Faith-Tank

Send us Fan MailHave you ever been in a car that’s run out of gas in the middle of nowhere? Or, Have you ever been miles from the nearest gas station when the gas warning light came on? Either of these situations can be stressful, even dangerous. Obviously, the way to avoid being stranded in the middle of no-where or stressing out over that “near empty” warning light is to regularly check the gas gauge and fill the tank before the gauge reads empty. The gasoline pumps that most of us use here in the US have an automatic shut-off mechanism to keep from accidentally over-filling your gas tank and spilling gasoline onto the ground…which is both an environmental and fire hazard. In most cases, there is still fill-capacity left when the automatic shut-off stops the flow of gasoline into the tank. Some of us manually continue the fill process, or “top-off” the tank…that is to fill the tank to maximum capacity…obviously without spilling or wasting gasoline.  What does that have to do with faith? You may ask? Did you know you are designed by God to be a “Faith-Tank”??? And, did you know that there is a “Faith-Gauge” to indicate when faith is running low?” Yes, just as the gas gauge on your car has markings for  empty, a quarter, half, three-quarters and a full tank… Scripture describes what I would call a “Faith-Gauge” that we can use to measure our faith level at any given time and take the appropriate steps to refuel our faith. Friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, these are testing, trying and demanding times…we cannot afford to allow our faith tanks to run low. We cannot afford to run on the fumes of the faith of a past season. We need a fill-up! It’s time to top-off our “Faith-Tank” and advance in faith’s victory that overcomes the world. Listen to today's podcast to learn how .

Bleeding Kansas – Its Meaning for America Today

Send us Fan MailDuring our recent journeys, while driving through Northeast Kansas near the Missouri border, Dave and I repeatedly passed highway signs that pointed to the site of the Marais des Cygnes Massacre.  Although born and raised in Kansas, I don’t remember hearing about that massacre in history class.  Finally, when we came to the signs for the eighth time, we decided to turn off the highway and go take a look. As we followed the road signs, the paved road turned onto a gravel road that turned onto a more narrow gravel road that eventually led us to a rugged gravel path in the midst of rocky wooded terrain.  Historical signs that told the story guided us to the ravine where the massacre happened.Standing on that ground, close to the place where innocent blood had been shed, I heard Father God’s words from Genesis 4:10, “The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.” Dave and I prayed, decreed and declared “God’s Kingdom come, God’s will be done.”This podcasts explores the place of significance that Kansas holds in the history of freedom in America. It also proposes that Kansas holds a significant place in the revival...the awakening of America to its God ordained destiny.

    Understanding Now

Send us Fan MailYesterday was a long day of preparation for today’s podcast. When I went to sleep last night, I was still not fully ready to record it…But, this morning, I woke up to a God encounter. I want to share that first. As I woke up this morning, God began to talk to me about time, eternity and the Great I AM… But, in all of that, God has a sense of humor. Things turned humorous when He reminded me of an old TV show called the Flip Wilson Show and one of Flip’s skits called the Church of What’s Happening Now.  For those of you too young to remember. Flip Wilson was a comedian and in the early 1970’s he had a TV Show on NBC called the Flip Wilson Show. On that show, he did a skit that featured “Reverend Leroy” and the “Church of What’s Happening Now.”  God did not show me anything regarding the dialogue of that skit…just the Host’s name and the title…”The Church of What’s Happening Now.” God was telling me about Himself, the Church and His perspective of NOW. You see….God is eternal…He functions in eternity…But, he created  something we call time. I think it was Dr. Robert Heidler who said, “Time is  God’s way of making sure that everything on earth doesn’t happen all at once.” I like that.   But, God reminded me that He revealed Himself to Moses in Exodus 3:1 as “I AM.”  He always IS. And, He always is NOW.  He is not the “I Was” or “I Will Be.” He is NOW… He is past, present and future…God IS. So, whatever your past has been or your future will be…God is there! He is The God of NOW! You can call it predestination…You can call it fatalistic…You can call it what ever you like…But, God calls it redemption. The God who is NOW…can take your NOW repentance…Your NOW confession of faith and in His NOW…redeem your past…because He is there…your past is not finished…Because God is there…He can clean up that mess.   But, there is more, The future you thought you had forfeited by your past can be restored….because He is there! Read about it in Joel 2:25. In Christ, In the Eternal One…HE is NOW…HE is Then and He is forever our Savior, our Redeemer and Lord. Jesus IS the same yesterday, today and forever!  Today…in the midst of COVID, confusion and chaos…I AM wants to meet with you NOW! Today, God has a NOW moment for you! So, what does that have to do with today’s message? Well…let’s find out.

Night Vision Goggles - Conquering The Darkness

Send us Fan MailI would like to begin today’s podcast by establishing a Scriptural focal point. I am reading from Ephesians 6:10-12 The Passion Translation….Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.Simply stated, today’s podcast is about the ability to see in the dark and to engage in warfare in the dark. Whether we like it or not, we have a spiritual enemy and he likes the darkness. He wants to keep us in the dark and to use darkness to his strategic advantage. Obviously, I want to get around to the topic of how to win this spiritual war, but I see and interesting parallel in how the military engages in night warfare….especially the development of night vision goggles and infrared technologies. These are technologies that provide the military with a vision or optical advantage in engaging the enemy in the dark or in a limited light environment. In preparing for this podcast, I did an online search for articles relating to the history of night vision and thermal imaging. One of these articles came from the website electronics.howstuffworks.com and it tells us…The original purpose of night vision was to locate enemy targets at night. It is still used extensively by the military for that purpose, as well as for navigation, surveillance and targeting.  I found another article on the website x20.org that offers this historical perspective… With the United States’ growing involvement in Vietnam, the US Army quickly recognized that they faced an enemy that relied on the cover of darkness to conduct its maneuvers and offensive operations.  Can you see a parallel between military warfare and Spiritual warfare there???I also found an article on the Smithsonian Institute’s website entitled Seeing in the Dark: The History of Night Vision.  From this article I learned that ….Night vision technology of one form or another has been around since before World War Two. But, current technological advancements have led to a more useful method of engaging in night time warfare. To illustrate how significantly night vision technology has improved, generation zero night vision was capable of amplifying existing light by 1,000 times….while modern less cumbersome night vision devices have the ability to amplify light 50,000 times. And, scientist continue the quest for more effective night vision technology. In fact, the US Army has a research laboratory whose motto is “Conquest of Darkness.”Conquest of Darkness…could there be a clearer analogy to our mission and purpose as Christ Followers? For many, 2020 has been a dark year.  It’s a time that reminds me of the passengers on a train straining to see if they are ever going to break out into the light at the end of the tunnel. Many are wondering if life will ever return to “normal?”But, I have good news. Just as the US military has developed weapons that allow it to successfully engage its enemies in the dark, God has provided us …as Christ’s followers…with weapons that will allow us to win our battle against the spiritual forces of darkness…the forces of this world order that have come against us in so many ways in

    Fully Alive!

Send us Fan MailFully Alive“Secondhand Lions” is one of my favorite movies. It’s a family film that tells the story of a shy adolescent boy with a troubled mother that sends him to live with 2 eccentric old uncles.  At first, the boy finds the uncles are more than a little scary. They live on an isolated farm in rural Texas and both have fully activated their 2nd amendment gun rights. As the movie progresses, the boy and his uncles forge a strong relationship, become a family and develop a deep love for each other.  In the movie, for some twenty years, the boy and his uncles share a lifetime of challenges as well as blessings that even included having a secondhand lion for a pet. After the nephew has grown and become a successful adult, the adventure-loving, geriatric uncles try flying their bi-plane upside down through their old barn, but they crashed the plane and didn’t live through the experience. The movie comes to a close with the nephew reminiscing about his uncles and describing them using these words,       "Yeah, they really lived –Those are interesting words because it’s quite clear in the movie that the phrase “they really lived” has more than one meaning.  The first meaning is ‘having life or having existed’. In the movie, the nephew is telling someone that his uncles were real people that lived real lives. The second meaning of “really lived” is more than just being alive. It includes the idea of being active, robust, vigorous, thriving and strong. The second meaning of the phrase puts an emphasis on the word ‘really’ and has an exclamation point at the end – they really lived!  In other words, it means being fully, totally alive. The Bible has plenty to say about being really alive. Let’s take a look at scripture to gain more insight and understanding. The words of Jesus in John 10:10 are a good place to start.  Most of you are probably familiar with this passage. The New King James Version reads –           “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”I’ll read the end of that verse again. This time in the Passion Translation. Jesus said – “But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect— life in its fullness until you overflow!”Let me say that again. ‘Life in its fullness until you overflow!’  Now, that’s the kind of life I’m talking about!

    God's New Normal

Send us Fan MailI want to begin today’s Podcast by reading the words of Jesus found in Luke 21:28. I am reading from The Voice Translation…..So when the troubles begin, don’t be afraid. Look up—raise your head high, because the truth is that your liberation is fast approaching. These words are a portion of Luke’s account of Jesus’ prophetic warning of cataclysmic and catastrophic events.  In previous verses of Chapter 21, we find the prophesy regarding the destruction of the city of Jerusalem and the temple. Jesus knew what was ahead for those who listened that day.  And, as we now know, the Romans did indeed destroy Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD.In view of the attack on cities and the attack on churches today…not just in the US, but around the world…when we consider this passage… I believe that both its context and its text are meaningful to us today as God’s children…as followers of Jesus...as the Church. The message of Luke 21:28 is an important message. It is so important that its theme is repeated later in the New Testament in the Epistles of both James and Paul. James says it this way in James 1: verse 2…reading from The Passion Translation…My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! And, compare that to the theme of the Apostle Paul’s message to the Church at Rome in Romans, Chapter 5:  verses 3-5 in The Message Bible…There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! These passages reveal a foundational Spiritual principal that can be observed throughout Biblical history. They also contain prophetic insight and understanding for the time and season we are in today in the summer of 2020 and the last days of the Hebrew year 5781.From these passages we are invited to discern…that as God’s children…, when troubles begin, when fragmented, chaotic tests and trials come…notice, I said “when” they come and not ”if” they come….But, when they come, they should not blind “the eyes of our heart…the eyes of our spirit” from receiving the revelation of a higher Truth…the truth of God’s will being done on earth as in heaven.  Troubles and difficulties should not distort our Spiritual insight into a new life of wholeness to be birthed…and the unveiling of restoration, redemption, deliverance and blessing. In John 8:32, we find that it is God’s will for us to know the Truth, and when we know the Truth it  will set us free...it will launch us into a new era of life in the Spirit.  When we are hemmed in by trouble…the revelation of His Truth is the way of escape. In order illustrate how this works, I would like for us to look at an example from Biblical history. There is more than one example that I could draw from, but the example I am drawn to is found in the story of Noah and the Ark.Now many of you may be familiar with this story… in case you are not…it begins in Genesis, Chapter 6.  For the purpose of this podcast, I’ll try to hit some of the highlights as we move through this story and after that, I would like to make five points of application based on what we learn from this story.

The Sky Is Falling Testimony - A Personal Testimony

Send us Fan MailJust now, as I was sharing my testimony about the ceiling falling in, Holy Spirit reminded me of the children’s story ‘Chicken Little.’ I love children’s literature and have found that adults can enjoy stories right along with the little ones; so here goes . . .There are many versions of this story, but I’ll share the one that begins like this -Once upon a time there was a little chicken, and everybody called him-- Chicken Little. And one day while he was out walking, up in the sky a bird flew over and it dropped an acorn, and the acorn fell down and-- bip-- bopped him on his head. Chicken Little said “AWK!” and looked up, and didn’t see anything, and he looked down and didn’t see anything. So he said “Help, help the sky is falling! Help, help the sky is falling! I have to tell the King!” And he went running down the road, looking for the King.Chicken Little panicked. He was motivated by fear. And he began sharing his fear with everyone around him. Chicken Little spread the “sky is falling in news” with Henny Penny, Goosey Loosey and Turkey Lurkey.  And then, it’s not surprising that the entire group had an encounter with Foxey Loxey. Foxey Loxey will almost always show up whenever there’s a tasty morsel of negative news nearby. Did you notice that Chicken Little was so focused on sharing his fear and telling everyone around him the sky was the falling in that he never did talk with the King about the situation?Although I never expected to be sharing about Chicken Little during this podcast, the scenario does sound a bit familiar. Think about it.  Did you ever get so focused on your fear – either real or imagined - that you never got around to spending time with the King and asking Him about His strategies and solutions for the situation?Anyway, moving on - I googled “Chicken Little” and discovered there is something called a “Chicken Little syndrome.” Chicken Little syndrome is described as “fear-mongering.”I’ll quote the internet explanation of “fear-mongering.” “Fear-mongering – whether justified or not – can sometimes elicit a societal response called Chicken Little syndrome, described as "inferring catastrophic conclusions possibly resulting in paralysis". It has also been defined as "a sense of despair or passivity which blocks the audience from actions".Wikipedia says the phrase “Chicken Little” is “applied to people accused of being unreasonably afraid, or those trying to incite an unreasonable fear in those around them.”Right now there certainly seems to be a lot of fear-mongering in the atmosphere. There are also quite a number of “Chicken Little” people that are suffering from fear, despair and a kind of passivity that may have them paralyzed with hopelessness.I’m not saying there is no reason to fear. There are certainly a multitude of reasons to be concerned about all kinds of very significant issues. However, I am saying there is an antidote to fear and it’s important to be aware of that antidote and know how to activate it.

Preparing for A New Year Ahead

Send us Fan MailPreparing for A New Year Ahead I would like to ask you two questions? Were you prepared for 2020? Will you be prepared for 2021?Kathie and I have already begun to listen and to look for insight and Holy Spirit guidance for the new year ahead.  Over the past several years, we have learned the significance of the times and seasons revealed in the Jewish Calendar. From a practical perspective, we operate our daily lives by the Gregorian calendar…the calendar used by most of the modern world.  However, we have come to see that prophetic, Spiritual insight is contained in the calendar of the patriarchs, kings and prophets of Israel. The body of Christ where we worship celebrates both Rosh Hashana…the Jewish New Year…. in the fall and the modern new year on January 1st. We find inspiration and insight in both.I said all of that to say this.....By preparing now for the Jewish New Year, we get a head start in preparing for the year that begins January 1st.Let me give you and example….This time last year, Kathie and I were in the process of finishing our book and preparing it for publication. We came to see that it was necessary to have the book completed for our Rosh Hashana… Head of The Year 5780 celebration in late September 21019.   God’s Family Plan: Establishing Generational Blessing was published in September of 2019. God’s Family Plan is about managing change and revealing God’s strategy for preparing multiple generations for the future.Given the changes that occurred early in the new year 2020…little did we know how prophetic this book would be. What if 5781 and 2021 bring us to events that change our lives as dramatically as 5780 and 2020?Whether you accept the prophetic, Spiritual dimension of the Jewish calendar or not…I believe it is time to begin our preparations for the new year ahead. But, how?  How do we prepare? Do we prepare for good or evil? Do we prepare for plenty or lack in the new year to come? The answer is…YES.That answer may sound a bit confusing…but when I read Philippians, Chapter 4, verses 11-13 in the Passion Translation it may help you understand why I gave that answer. This passage reads…I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. So, I hope you will agree….Philippians FOUR seems like a place to begin in preparing for 5781 and 2021.

Courage in the Midst of Chaos and Confusion!

Send us Fan MailToday's podcast unpacks 3 principles that can be activated in times of transition and change, and even in chaos and confusion, much like the times and seasons we are living in today. Here’s a recap -·       Remember the prophetic words that have been spoken over you!·       Remember the Word of God!·       Remember who is fighting with you!  Let’s also remember and think about the phrase “be strong and courageous.” These words were spoken by Moses 3 times, by Joshua 3 times and once again by the people.  That means this prophetic word was repeated a total of 7 times.    In scripture, whenever words are repeated, it’s an indication that something is being emphasized, probably because of its importance. That certainly seems to be the case with this phrase.“Be strong and courageous” are also important words for us today.Let’s take a quick look at a couple of New Testament passages that emphasize these words. ‘Be strong’ is found in Ephesians 6:10-20. This is Paul’s discourse about putting on the whole armor of God and spiritual warfare. Here’s the end of verse 10 as it’s written in The Passion Translation - Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of His explosive power flowing in and through you.And what about the word ‘courage? I’m reminded of the time the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water in the midst of a storm. It’s recorded in both Matthew 14 and Mark 6. Here are verses 50 & 51 of Mark 6 in The Passion Translation -[They] screamed out in terror. But he said to them at once, “Don’t yield to fear. Have courage. It’s really me—I Am!”Then he came closer and climbed into the boat with them, and immediately the stormy wind became still. They were completely and utterly overwhelmed with astonishment . . . .These are just 2 examples of the use of the words ‘strong’ and ‘courageous’ in the New Testament, but there are many others.  Whenever you’re in a challenging situation, it can be helpful to remember to ‘be strong and courageous’. The words Moses and Joshua spoke to the people centuries ago are just as relevant now as they were then. Along with remembering these words, it is important to speak them, pray them, decree and declare them.  This is a ‘peh season’. That means “speak up.” Psalm 81:10 says it well. Here it is in The Passion Translation -I am your only God, the living God.Wasn’t I the one who broke the strongholds over youand raised you up out of bondage?Open your mouth with a mighty decree;I will fulfill it now, you’ll see!The words that you speak, so shall it be!I believe Psalm 81:10 is a now word and it will also be an important word for next year – the Hebrew Year 5781 that is as known as 2021 in the Gregorian calendar.‘Be strong and courageous’Speak those words over yourself. Pray into them. Repeat, decree and declare them. Believe for victory in every battle! As you do, you will be changed. You will be empowered for every battle. You will be equipped to enter in and possess your promised land!I decree and declare over you today that you are activated to: Remember all the prophetic words that have been spoken over you in the past!Remember the Word of God and find the now word of the Lord for you in your current situation!Remember who is fighting with you! You are not alone! He will never leave you nor forsake you!I decree and declare that you and all your loved ones are fully equipped, enabled and empowered to be strong and courageous!

2020 – A Time of Danger, Decisions and Destiny

Send us Fan Mail2020 will go down in history as a time of danger. It will also be remembered as a time when we made decisions that will shape our destiny as individuals, households and as a nation for years, decades and generations to come. Let me say that again, 2020 is a year that will set the course of our destiny as individuals, households and as a nation for years, decades and generations to come.In this pivotal year, as a Christian, I believe that it is essential that we look beyond the media, beyond the political voices, beyond our own private opinions and prejudices.  As we search for meaning and resolution to this season of COVID-19, social upheaval and political antagonism, it is vital that we look to Scripture for answers.  It is also essential to listen to the voice of Holy Spirit for direction, correction and encouragement in this trying and uncertain time.John 16:13 in the Amplified tells us….But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].As I have studied Scripture and listened for the voice of Holy Spirit regarding the truth about this time and season, I have been drawn to the story of David the future King of Israel especially the portion of that story that begins in in 1 Samuel, Chapter 27. I believe there are parallels to be observed and lessons to be learned from this study that apply to this present time and our current circumstances.

    Kiosks of Kindness

Send us Fan Mail“Kiosks of Kindness” – That’s a new phrase Holy Spirit recently shared with me.  Let’s take a few minutes and unpack it to discover what it means. The idea that Holy Spirit was communicating to me is that believers are to be human kiosks that are located in public spaces for public use and are interactive and available to interface in a variety of situations using different kinds of technologies. Our primary example of a kiosk of kindness is Jesus. Jesus was accessible. He interfaced and interacted with The Father. He interfaced and interacted with everyone around Him.  Jesus was so accessible that people from all walks of life were able to meet and interact with Him. Little children, fisherman, soldiers, prostitutes, tax collectors, the disabled and terminally ill, the rich and religious ---all could approach Him and receive His kindness. Even during the crucifixion, the thief on the cross had an encounter with Jesus and was able to receive forgiveness. So the idea that Holy Spirit is communicating with us about kiosks is that followers of Jesus are to be human kiosks.  As directed by Holy Spirit, we are to be accessible in public spaces for public use. We are to be interactive and available to interface with others in a variety of situations using different kinds of technologies or, in other words, spiritual gifts. As kiosks of kindness, we are to fully demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit to the world.

Daniel - How a Prophet Prays for His Nation

Send us Fan MailFor quite some time, I have been drawn to the Prophet Daniel’s intercessory prayer for Israel found in Daniel, Chapter 9….verses 1-19. In this passage, we find an example of “How to” pray for a nation. "Like" our Facebook Page @God's Family Plan

The Focus of Effective Prayer - Praying For Our Nation - Part II

Send us Fan MailWhen it comes to prayer, we can choose how to focus our words, attitude and energy. We can be like Israel in the wilderness and focus on the problems, grumbling and complaining, or we can follow Jesus’ instruction to His disciples found in the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew, Chapter Six.The Lord’s Prayer is not just an old traditional rote prayer to memorize and recite on queue. …Jesus teaching on prayer had something important to say to His disciples 2000 years ago and it also has something important to say to His modern-day disciples in 2020 and the years ahead. The Lord’s Prayer has something to say in this season of CORONA Virus, social upheaval and political antagonism.   As we examine Jesus’ teaching on prayer… you will notice that it focuses on two major themes: Father and Forgiveness

Praying For Our Nation – Part One - Laying a Personal Prayer Foundation.

Send us Fan MailWhen I began preparing for this podcast last week I was focused on the example of Daniel and his prayer for Israel found in Daniel 9:1-19. However, as I have studied and meditated, the focus of this teaching has expanded.  What I have come to see is that Daniel,  as an Old Testament Prophet, was engaged in high level intercessory prayer. What I am hearing is that I need to lay a foundation that will give us an understanding of how to pray for our nation on a higher more strategic level than some of us may have prayed in a past season. I want to be quick to tell you that in this, I am reminded of Paul’s words in Philippians 3:12-14…I especially like the Message Translation….I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. What I am about to say may be old news to some of you, but this podcast is designed to reach into the lives of people at all stages of their journey with Jesus. Even if you are a long-time seasoned prayer warrior, I encourage you to stay with me in this teaching: Praying For Our Nation – Today’s Episode is Laying a Personal Prayer Foundation.

    Violent Grace

Send us Fan MailThis morning as Kathie and I were beginning our prayer time, I heard a phrase…"VIOLENT GRACE!"What is Violent Grace? First of all, Grace is the unmerited favor and blessing of God. I’ve heard it explained as an acrostic…GOD’S RICHES AT CHRIST’S EXPENSE.   According to Ephesians, Chapter 2…Grace is not through our human effort. The work of grace gives us nothing to boast about. So, What is this Violent Grace. Many of us may have had a tendency to think of grace as passive and peaceful and gentle. Yes, grace can be all of that, but Biblically, Grace is so much more.In 2 Corinthians 9:8, Paul refers to “ALL GRACE.” In Strongs Concordance, “All” here means all, any, every, the whole…  So, grace can manifest in more than a peaceful, gentle, passive manner.  As for me, I need all the grace and every kind of grace I can get. Today…I believe our nation needs a VIOLENT GRACE!In Acts 4:33, Luke refers to GREAT GRACE…According to Strongs Concordance, Great here is the Greek word “Megas.”  Which can mean big…loud…large…mighty. Now that’s what I’m talking about! That’s what the Apostles had in the Book of Acts and that’s what we need today! And then in 2 Corinthians 12:9  in the Amplified Bible, the Apostle Paul says……but He…He is capitalized…referring to God…HE has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.It is grace in the face of trial that brings the power to prevail…the power of Christ…the Anointed One and His anointing into completion in our life, our circumstances and our relationships. So, what I saw this morning is that Violent Grace is the opposite of COVID-19. I came to see COVID-19 as the demonic perversion of God’s Violent Grace.COVID-19 is a virulent infectious disease that has invaded the earth. It manifests itself as infirmity and death. It is designed to spread fear, panic, chaos, and financial collapse throughout the earth.VIOLENT GRACE is the polar opposite of that.  It is the power of God released throughout the earth to release healing and life…and that in abundance. It is designed to speak into the violence of the storm…PEACE! Be Still! It is the creative voice of the Lord speaking order and light into the chaotic darkness and confusion.

    Preparing the Generations For Change

Send us Fan MailEverything was changing; it was a new season, a new time, and a new era.In Deuteronomy chapters 5 and 6, Moses called the people of Israel together for his farewell address. Moses was primarily speaking to a new generation, a generation that had been born and raised in the wilderness. Because he knew he would soon die, he was preparing them to move forward and strengthening them to enter and possess the Promised Land without him. In these chapters of Deuteronomy, Moses was activating the people by instructing them to ‘prepare for change and get ready for transition!’  Moses faithfully explained God’s covenant to this new generation by telling them to, “Listen… to the Laws which I speak in your hearing today. Learn them and be careful to live by them!” Moses was equipping the Hebrews so they could occupy their Promised Land and fulfill their destiny.  Everything he said was based on the understanding that this generation must continue moving forward and be fully equipped to enter into destiny. They had to be readied, prepared, and empowered to go on without his leadership.

The House Will Be In Order

Send us Fan MailBack in late November of 2018, I began to hear and understand a prophetic phrase…”The House will be in order!” At that time the US had recently held its national mid-term elections. The Democratic Party had taken back control of the US House of Representatives….So it might appear to some that the phrase… “The House will be in order!” ...would apply to the US House of Representatives and setting it in order. However, since those days in late November of 2018, I have come to see that God is speaking to so much more than simply the House of Representatives. From the beginning…it was the voice of a “convener” speaking…One who is fully authorized to convene a meeting…or to call the meeting into session…to initiate the process of its purpose. You might say it was like it was in the beginning in Genesis, Chapter One, when God called creation to order and initiated the agenda of planet earth and all that is in it.Over the many months since November 2018, I have come to see that the phrase…”The House will be in order”… is not simply about politics or party affiliation. I have come to see that in this phrase God is speaking to every aspect of our lives.

    What is Family? Part TWO

Send us Fan MailThere are four Hebrew “family” words that I believe are especially important in understanding God’s concept of family and His Family Plan.  As we consider each of these words you will find:They are relational. They are not religious or legalistic. They are covenantal. They reflect bloodline relationship.. They flow in a God-ordained sequence of development that progresses or advances from generation to generation, from glory to glory. They reveal the foundational plan and structure God intended for every human being relationally from before the foundation of the earth. The First of these words is Bayith or Bet. We talked about Bet in a previous podcast . “Bayith  or bet” is the foundational family word in Scripture. It is Hebrew for house or household. Bet also has the numerical value of two. Bet was designed and destined to form the foundation for advancement to a next level covenant alignment. We have also previously discussed this second Hebrew word and a second level of relational alignment... “mishpaha.” Mishpaha may be translated as family, clan or kindred. Today, we want to introduce two additional Hebrew family words that are important to understanding God’s Family Plan for Establishing Generational Blessing.  .

    What Is Family? PART ONE

Send us Fan MailWith so many descriptions and ideas of family these days, a basic question must be asked, “What is family?” A Bible believing Christian, this question should be asked from a Biblical perspective. “What does God and His Word intend when it uses the word or words we translate as family?”It’s not enough to define or think of family as it relates to our own personal experience and relationships. Traumatic events and the dysfunction has entered our relationships tend to distort and alter our understanding of family as God intended in the beginning’… during creation. As I have studied the Biblical concept of Family, I believe the Hebrew words that are used to describe family in the Old Testament reveal God’s intent from the beginning. There four Hebrew “family” words that I believe are especially important in understanding God’s concept of family and His Family Plan.  As we consider each of these words you will find that they:·      They are relational. They are not religious or legalistic. ·      They are covenantal. They reflect bloodline. ·      They reflect a developmental structure, a sequence of development.·      They flow in a God-ordained sequence that progresses or advances from          generation to generation, from glory to glory.·      They reveal the foundational plan and structure God intended for every human form before the foundation of the earth. Check out this series of Podcasts…What is family. Part TWO will be posted in a few days.

Pentecost... Holy Spirit…Don’t Leave Home Without Him

Send us Fan MailPentecost or Holy Spirit…Don’t Leave Home Without HimMillions of Christians around the world are commemorating Pentecost this weekend. They join millions over a period of thousands of years that have observed Pentecost. But first…what is Pentecost? Today I would like to at least partially answer that question as I talk about five expressions of Pentecost… Past, Present and Future. As a disclaimer, over the centuries Pentecost has been celebrated by many different people groups and in different ways around the globe… But, I believe understanding the Five Expressions of Pentecost that follow are imperative to moving forward in the revelation of Holy Spirit and His plan for His children in the season ahead.

    The Power of Two

Send us Fan MailIn Hebrew, the Number “2” is the word “Bayith.” It is also the second letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Bayith is transliterated into English as “Bet” (like fish bait) but spelled B-E-T. According to Hebrew4Christians.com, Bet is the first letter of the Torah…Hebrew Scriptures. Bet is also the Hebrew word for “house” or “household.”  In Psalms 68:6, we read that “God sets the solitary in families.” The word translated families there is the word “Bet.” A more proper translation would be, “God sets the solitary in “Households.”The idea of household or the power of two is very important to God. In Genesis 1:31, all of creation was ultimately pronounced as “very good.”  But, did you realize that there was a “not good” found in creation that God corrected before this pronouncement?Genesis 2:18 Amplified Bible (AMP) - Now the Lord God said, “It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—a counterpart who is]suitable and complementary for him.”So, God made Eve…He created them male and female… Creation was not good or complete without Bet. In Genesis 1:28, God commissioned, authorized an blessed the first human bet with the ability to…Increase, Multiply and Exercise stewardship dominion over God’s creation. There is power and authority in “Two,” Bet, or a household.

    HELP IS HERE!

Send us Fan MailIn previous Podcasts, we have discovered that God has a plan….a good plan, a plan to prosper us…give us hope…to give us a future. We have also discovered that there is an enemy to God’s good plan. He is much more than some fictional “boogey man.” He is a formidable spirit being, a fallen angel, satan, the devil, the deceiver, the thief, the one who steals, kills and destroys. For many, it would appear that satan is winning and God’s plan is not working. In this season many are crying out in desperation…crying out for help!  Do not fear…Do not be afraid…Someone has said, “What appears is not what is.” God is fully aware of satan’s deceptive and evil schemes and has sealed his doom. Your tormentor’s end is certain and sure. God does not expect you to fight this battle alone. He has placed many mighty weapons at your disposal. HELP IS HERE!

    You Have an Adversary

Send us Fan MailIn the previous Podcast, we discovered that God has a plan….a good plan, a plan to prosper you…give you hope…to give you a future. But, the reality is that many find it difficult to balance the idea of a Good God… Who has a good plan for our lives…with what we see and hear in the media… the daily news.  How do we understand God’s good plan when there appears to be nothing good about our present personal situation? WE HAVE AN ADVERSARYGod is good! His plan for our life is good! But…God’s plan for my life and your life has an enemy, an opponent, an adversary…satan…the devil. In Scripture this adversary manifests his opposition to God’s good plan in numerous ways.  This episode seeks to unmask the adversary and provide encouragement to those who are facing opposition and adversity.

ABOUT THIS SHOW

God has a family plan for each of us (Psalm 68:5-6), a plan to prosper and not harm us (Jeremiah 29:11). For some, the thought that God would use family, especially their family, as an instrument of blessing may be unthinkable, even troubling. Regardless of the dysfunction, abuse, rejection or abandonment we may associate with our personal family experience, God’s Family Plan offers a strategy for redemption and recovery. Holy Spirit is inviting all of us to establish the foundation of generational blessing according to the biblical principles and perspective of God’s family plan.
