Goodbyes & Hellos: The Daily Jobs Rundown. Who's off and who's on, in about ten minutes every weekday morning. Every job story has two sides: a goodbye and a hello. Each morning, William brings you the latest layoffs across the United States and Canada, straight from state WARN notices and the news, with the city, the state and the numbers, facts only. Then Veronika turns every goodbye into a hello. For each layoff she finds who's hiring in that same city or state, and when local openings are thin she points to remote jobs, temp work, side hustles and short-term income, plus the big multi-year hiring waves worth moving for. Every episode closes with a quick, practical tip for a real job-life moment, like the day you get a layoff notice, the night before an interview, or your first week in a new role. Then comes "Skills that pay": one skill you can learn in 12 weeks or less, and where to learn it for free or close to it. Some days that's for new grads, some days for caree
