You may have heard the story of David and Goliath before, but have you ever recognized that it points to a greater story and a greater battle?

David’s story begins in obscurity, yet God had a plan and purpose for his life that would change the course of human history.

How do we make disciples at home? We take a look at what scripture says and how God instructs us in this as parents.

Understanding that marriage is a picture of Christ and his church helps us to walk in all that God has called us to.

Understanding and pursuing a woman’s purpose as outlined in the scripture will lead to human flourishing.

Genesis 2 lays out for us our purpose as men. We are to work and protect for the glory of God.

Psalm 127 teaches us that unless the Lord builds our lives, families, and the church, our efforts ultimately will ultimately fall short. As we grow in our identity in Jesus and allow him to shape our lives, it will impact the way we invest in the next generation.

Jesus paid our debt in full at the cross and declared a final victory over sin and death at his resurrection, and this is the best news ever!

Jesus doesn’t stay on the mountain but rather comes down to meet us right where we are.

How to fight and go to war against the schemes of the enemy? How do we fight and identify temptation when it comes?

In Acts 25, we see Paul’s life under pressure. The pressure of waiting, the pressure of accusation, and the pressure of death, and it is how he responds that we learn about how we respond when pressure comes.

In Acts 24, we look at Paul’s encounter with Felix. Paul does not compromise but continues to live out his faith with Jesus at the center. Felix is confronted with the gospel of Jesus for his own life and is not ready to respond in faith.

In Acts 23, we see one of the most difficult days of Paul’s life, and even though God does not deliver him from the pain, he stands by him in it.

In Acts 21:27-22:21, Paul uses his persecution as a platform to share his story of how Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God. But the question we must all answer is: Do I have a story? A story where I met Jesus and surrendered my life to him as my Lord and Savior?

Acts 21 begins by detailing Paul’s final journey towards Jerusalem. As he approaches, he understands what lies before him, and he has counted the cost and submits his will to the will of God, even if it means suffering.

In Acts 20, we unpack Paul’s last face-to-face with the leaders of the church in Ephesus and remind them of how he lived and how they should lead the church.

We examine the practice of the Lord’s Supper and how, in the early church, amidst challenges, diversity, and busy lives, the Lord’s Supper served as a regular reminder of what Christ did, is doing, and will do. An anchor to reorient our lives around Jesus and the Gospel.

We look at what happens when God’s hand is on a community and is moving in them and through them.

This week, we dove into John 11 and looked at how Jesus comforts us in the face of tragedy and pain with truth, tears, and sacrifice.

This week, we look at Acts 19:1-20 and the importance of being connected to the power source of Jesus as we live this not-so-ordinary life.

This week, we look at Acts 18 and a man named Apollos. We see how God uniquely wired and uniquely placed him for the glory of God and the advancement of the gospel.
