  1. Slippery Rails

This is my reaction to the recent mass release of ScotRail Announcements to the internet. All the music is by me, all the words are by ScotRail and the voice is that of Alison McKay, who did the announcements and has no idea this has happened, so who knows there may be legal proceedings. Which...

  5. Catpack

I made this to go with Viv Schwarz' excellent Pack of Cats Kickstarter - which still has a week left to run if you want a pack of cat cards. And who wouldn't? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/566817149/a-pack-of-cats-playing-cards-designed-by-viviane-s/posts/2373214

  7. Ventura

Named after the guitar that seemed to want me to write it: a Fret-King Ventura.

  20. Perkins' Revenge

The title doesn't mean anything - I just thought it sounded both nice and appropriate for the tune. I'm fairly sure the Perkins in question isn't the station master from The Railway Children, but possibly a minor civil servant worm finally turning and exacting revenge upon his putative superiors....

  21. Over Burwell

A track for people who imagine soaring over English fields on a summer's day.

  22. Darcy on the Town

A track for people who imagine travelling between night clubs by limousine while sipping champagne in 1978.

  23. Generic Action Sequence

Playing with a new orchestral sample set, I found to my surprise that it's actually fairly simple to make a generic Hollywood soundtrack action sequence cue. All sounds are either Logic presets or EastWest Orchestra. It seems to be mostly channeling Hans Zimmer with a John Barry ending It took...

  24. Pablito

Found a sample that (I thought) sounded just like a melodica, and within a relatively short amount of time had a tribute to the godlike Augustus Pablo.

  25. 8-bit Doodle

OK. Displacement activity - something I did when I should have been working. And now it's done, I need to start work, and it's later. And somewhere there are cakes, calling forlornly out to me...
