Episode 15 - The Farm of Many Faces!
Joel Salatin is known as a Christian libertarian environmentalist capitalist lunatic farmer. But he takes that last part very seriously. Inspired by his book "Folks, This Ain't Normal," host Robert Carillio and Joel discuss the farming industry, the use of chemicals in agriculture, and the fact that vegan foods are not necessarily free from animal cruelty.Check this episode of Green Arenas on our website at Green Arenas - Episode 15Follow Green Arenas on InstagramGreen Arenas is an Inquisitor Media Original

Episode 6: Noise Pollution Is Real!
Have you all noticed how noisy modern life has become?Noise is everywhere, but some of it is truly harmful to our minds and health. Excessive noise has been linked to sleep deprivation, hearing loss, and even heart disease. The real question is: should noise be the cost of progress? It shouldn’t be. Many sources of noise now have quieter and more environmentally friendly alternatives. For example, gas-powered landscaping equipment is becoming obsolete, replaced by battery-powered options that significantly reduce noise and air pollution.Eight years ago, our co-host Robert Carillio was already fighting against noise pollution as passionately as we are today. Back then, he recorded a podcast on the subject, which was never aired. However, due to the urgency of this issue, he kindly provided the recording to Green Arenas for use today.Check this episode of Green Arenas on our website at www.greenarenaspod.comFollow Green Arenas on InstagramGreen Arenas is an Inquisitor Media Original

Special Episode: Stop The Tree Genocide!
The current situation in Cleveland regarding our Tree Canopy is awful. Over the past few months, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has been actively deforesting our highways, a move that raises serious concerns for many Ohioans. This action appears to contradict the promises made by the current administration during their campaign, as they initially pledged to protect and preserve our natural environment. Now, it seems they are standing by as our urban canopy is being diminished. We must prioritize caring for our current and older trees, which literally have taken decades to grow and are irreplaceable in their ecological contributions in a subtle way. The excuse that deforestation is necessary to improve highway visibility or for aesthetic reasons is shortsighted and insufficient. ODOT and the City of Cleveland need to take responsibility for their actions and recognize that planting new trees is only part of the solution, proper maintenance and preservation of our existing canopy definitely are equally, if not more, important.Check this episode of Green Arenas on our website at www.greenarenaspod.comFollow Green Arenas on InstagramGreen Arenas is an Inquisitor Media Original

Episode 5: Stop the Fracking!
You may have heard of fracking but not paid much attention to its implications. Hydraulic fracturing, commonly known as fracking, is a controversial method of extracting oil and natural gas from deep underground rock formations. This process involves injecting a high-pressure fluid composed of water, sand, and chemicals to create fractures in the rock, thereby releasing trapped resources. On this episode, host Robert Carillio engages with guest Lynn Anderson from Frackfree Mahoning to explore the damaging impacts of fracking on parks and natural environments across the nation. Lynn, along with numerous environmental advocates, has actively engaged with local and state officials in an effort to halt fracking and protect our natural resources. However, these efforts have often gone unheeded, leaving many concerned citizens frustrated with the lack of action. With support from Green Arenas, Lynn aims to raise awareness among listeners and inspire them to take action against the harmful effects of fracking. Join us as we delve into this critical issue and learn how we can collectively work to safeguard our environment.Check this episode of Green Arenas on our website at www.greenarenaspod.comFollow Green Arenas on InstagramGreen Arenas is an Inquisitor Media Original

Episode 4: Really, Puppy Mills?
Join host Kim McDonald as she explores the topic of puppy mills and the misinformation surrounding this issue. Puppy mills are known for their abusive, negligent, and far from sanitary practices, prioritizing profit over puppies' welfare. Resulting in overcrowded, careless, and deadly conditions where many dogs suffer from serious health problems, behavioral issues, and most often end up dying prematurely.Joining the Green Arenas team is Lisa Jackson from Puppy Mill Rescue, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope and love to animals in crisis. Lisa and her team have been tirelessly working to transport puppy mill survivors from Ohio to partner rescues along the East Coast and around the nation. They are also committed to educating the public about the realities of puppy mills and advocating for the eradication of these inhumane mass breeding facilities. The Puppy Mill Rescue Team strongly encourages pet adoption over purchasing pets online or from pet stores, as the majority of these animals are sourced from puppy mills.
