    Passing The Torch - Season 1 Finale

    For our Season 1 finale, we spent time reflecting and catching up. We reminisced on 2023 and looked ahead to what’s next in our lives. We discussed the importance of following your intuition and trusting your spirit as a guide—doing what feels right, even if it doesn’t seem perfectly logical. We also delved into motherhood in today’s society, pondering whether there’s truly a right or wrong way. Topics included breaking generational curses and passing the torch, parenting goals, and setting the tone for your children. We explored life without a manual, navigating our 20s, and the journey of creating your own reality while balancing expectations versus reality. It was the perfect way to close out the season with reflection, insight, and hope for what’s to come.

    It's Okay To Be The Initiator

    In today's session, we discussed the importance of social skills and how they impact our mental health. We both shared stories about being introverted in certain environments and finding true comfort. We found that it's essential to be ourselves and lead with good energy, learning that it's okay to take the initiative. For hot topics, we discussed the movie Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, the idea that "good men finish last," living a "cookie-cutter" life, and how the grass isn’t always greener. We also touched on some of the unique struggles faced by Black women.

    In this session, we discussed the concept of a "perfect life" and what that looks like to each of us. Coco shared her thoughts on living a life without fear or limitations, while Riya spoke about having genuine connections and following the path God has set for her. We also explored the fear of being seen or taking up space and how fears of embarrassment and rejection can hold us back. For hot topics, we discussed politics, the upcoming election, and the book It Ends With Us.

    The Gift and The Curse of Being an Empath (energetic boundaries, feeling deeply, understanding unspoken feelings)

    In this weeks session we talked about the difference between being an empath and being aware of the feelings of others. We felt it was important to sense but not to absorb and carry others emotions. To end off our main topic we talked about the risk of being an empath (being easily forgiving, lack of boundaries, emotional fatigue, losing yourself) For hot topics we discussed walking on eggshells with friends, current HBCU culture, and the TV show "tell me lies"

    Living in the Present (living life to the fullest, letting go of control, and misconceptions.)

    In this session, we explored the nature of control in life, realizing that the present moment is the only thing we truly have control over. We also discussed how we could be living life more fully, addressing some misconceptions about ourselves. The conversation moved into whether caring about others' perceptions is necessary and debated if their ideas about us are our responsibility. For the hot topics, we delved into the use of sick hours for mental health days and touched on Glorilla’s latest album, including her gospel song.

    In this session, we explored how healing is a non-linear journey and how maintaining a opened mind can lead to better handling of certain situations. We also delved into generational differences in approaches to healing, comparing how our generation and the previous one deal with emotional struggles. Additionally, we touched on the idea of emotional poverty, reflecting on how some of the things we desire may be tied to unfulfilled voids.

    Limiting Beliefs - The Art of Unlearning and Relearning Habits

    For this sessions we talked about some of the limiting beliefs we had and how as we get older there are things that we need to unlearn and relearn we talked about things like expectations, putting our selves in boxes, excusing peoples behavior, and toxic mentalities. For hot topics we talked about the health care system, dating young, celebrities being jack of all trades.

    The Real Luxury - Fulfillment in life a discussion on what's really important in life

    We started out catching up and then began a conversation about our priorities and what we feel they should be when it comes to life fulfillment. We discussed whether life should be more logical or emotional, whether we should live more freely or be more disciplined to feel fulfilled. While life needs some sort of structure, we felt that it’s the little things that count. As we age, we seek more simplicity (slow mornings, dependable people, good sleep, peace of mind). We pondered whether things in life come to you or if you have to fight for fulfillment. For hot topics, we discussed the duality in people and the idea that gossiping isn’t true bonding.

    Solo Dolo - a discussion on solitude and taking charge of your life.

    In this session, we dive into the concept of assertiveness, and solitude exploring how it shapes our interactions and the role of common sense in daily life. We also unpack the idea of people "matching energy" and how having expectations of others can often lead to disappointment. With that being said it's important to pour that back into yourself and alway stay true to yourself. for hot topic we briefly discuss being demure and the movie "it ends with us"

    Everything Wrong W/ the World - a conversation on awareness and conscious thinking

    For this session, we spent some time catching up before diving into topics like "Is Blindness Bliss?", Consumerism, "The American Dream," 9-5 jobs, idols and influences. We explored the struggle of missing when the blinders were on, but ultimately ended the conversation on a positive note. For our hot topics, we discussed "first day of school outfits" and the new generation.

    I Don't Chase, I Attract - A conversation on giving yourself grace and letting things come to you!

    In this session, Coco and Riya take some time to reflect on their year. Have we accomplished our goals, or do we have new ones? We settle in on the realization that we haven't been giving ourselves enough grace and explore what that looks like. We honor the parts of us that are curious about the future while also acknowledging that we don't have to have everything figured out. For hot topics, we discuss personality types and the concept of "outshining the birthday girl."

    She's Evolving W/ Rita - A Conversation on Comfort Zones, Spirituality, and Sisterhood.

    In this session, we have a special guest joining us for a conversation about evolving and sisterhood. We touched on topics such as spirituality, the importance of authentic friendships and knowing who to call a close friend, and finding your purpose while getting out of your comfort zone. We finished off with hot topics, pondering how to decenter men and discussing things we plan on doing with our children.

    Stop and Smell The Roses

    For this session, we talked about being fully present in life and how to achieve overall contentment. We discussed the beauty of solitude, distinguishing between wants vs. needs, redirecting your thinking, and being conscious. We concluded with a sense of peace, recognizing that we are in charge of our own destiny. All we can do in the moment is our best and let everything come and go as it may. For hot topics, we delved into the idea of "it's the principle" in relationships and the scenario of a wife not wanting her husband to visit a dying ex.

    Emotions in motion

    In this session, Coco and Riya discussed emotions as a whole. After watching Inside Out, we shared our thoughts on the movie, explored what some emotions can look like for us, and learned how to be in tune with our own emotions and growth. We also talked about how difficult it can be to watch others who aren't ready. We finished off with deep questions.

    In this session, we talk about marriage and divorce in our community. We discuss our visions for weddings and the beauty in partnership. We also explore the independence of Black women and the role of heads of household in Black families, concluding that many issues start within the home. For hot topics, we delve into loyalty/betrayal, open relationships, and more.

    Boundaries (Advocating for yourself)

    In this session, we talked about boundaries. We started by discussing five ways to know if you have bad boundaries and then delved into boundaries with family, romantic relationships, friends, and even ourselves. We asked ourselves the question: can boundaries be selfish? In the hot topic segment, we debated whether you can measure a woman's self-worth based on the man she chooses, not having problems with cancellations, and more.

    We went to social media to ask you all for questions and advice about anything and everything. So in this episode, we have our first Q&A, answering questions about relationships, advice in your 20s, dating age gaps, and what made us start our podcast.

    Check In W/ Self

    We took a week off, but today we took some time for self-reflection. We discussed the decisions we’ve made, plan to make, and won't make again, touching on topics like college, who we surround ourselves with, and true happiness. The Hot Topic segment gave us the opportunity to speak on some things highlighted on social media. For the deep questions, we shared our views on things that are going on in the world we live in today.

    In this session we touched on “higher self “ by discussing the importance of learning ourselves and what that looks like. Your “higher” self can be a leverage to knowing who you truly are and understanding how powerful we are as individuals . we are all spiritual beings that should tune into our higher power, we ended the episode off with hot topics of course expressing our opinions on the interactions we have with one another as well as the controversy of kids before marriage

    In this session, we talked about learning how to stay above water in life and how we recharge. We discussed dwelling and learning not to chase things in life. For hot topics, we discussed social media pushing things on us that lack importance and questioning our role models and their credibility.

    In this session, we celebrate Mother's Day by bringing our mothers on and discussing the difficulties and joys of being a mother. We touch on topics such as leaving the nest, gentle parenting, being a single parent, co-parenting, and the pressures of motherhood.

    In this session, we had London joining us to discuss being a woman, exploring its pros and cons. We delved into topics such as the importance of relationships with our mothers, embracing femininity, and the concept of girl code. We concluded with a discussion on hot topics like colorism and black history.

    In today's session, we brainstormed about finding satisfaction in life, exploring what fulfills us, and how we develop these ideologies. We discussed the age-old question: does money buy happiness? For our hot topics, we delved into defining femininity and the concept of a 'soft girl'.

    For this session, we have Tremon joining us. We discuss the pros and cons of our generation, and where the music industry is at right now. We finish off with deep questions and dive deep into hot topics, focusing on Black Love and examining both the men's and women's perspectives.     Continuing with Guest Month, we had W$ Rocket joining us for this session! The vibes were definitely on point. We had a great discussion touching on individuality, LA culture, and the shared experiences of being creators. For our hot topics, we got into being woke, micro-cheating, and the concept of pretty privilege.

    For this session, we were joined by Angie to discuss confidence and carving your own path in life. We touched on the concept of 'faking it till you make it' and the importance of pursuing your dreams even when others may not understand. We ended off with deep questions and got into hot topics such as 'would you rather,' stepping out of character, and our beliefs on fairy-tale love. Angie brings a unique perspective as a tattoo artist, entrepreneur, and first-generation.

    On today’s session, we have Kyn a business woman as well as a believer in God. Coco and Riya have the same beliefs and wanted to dive in on different perspectives on how that journey started and how we as women maintain the relationship with God. We share personal testimonies to bring in Easter . A known holiday In the Christian community to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

    In this session, we will be talking about the effects of social anxiety and how the majority of us have experienced situations where we're affected by it. Social anxiety can come in many different forms, and it's something that doesn't go away in a matter of days. Social anxiety can hold you back from being the best version of yourself. It takes work to block out the anxiousness and fear, and it also takes strong courage to get out of your head and comfort zone to overcome the anxiety.
