Gus Biblowitz: Basketball Legend
by Keith James
After twenty-nine hard fought years in professional basketball, Gus Biblowitz is hanging on the ropes. Fat, out of shape, and with a new gout diagnosis, Father Time may have finally caught up with the worst man professional sports has ever seen. McSweeney’s writer Keith James narrates a sexually charged narrative of a true hoops legend being forced to navigate career and life lows: cocaine, being a grandfather, the black market, and the thankless task of turning San Diego into a legitimate sports town. This is the story of Gus Biblowitz: Basketball Legend.
