H.O.P.E

H.O.P.E is a platform I will use to talk about raw and real life experiences like things that I have gone through or may go through that got me where I am today: mentally, physically, spiritually, everything. It will basically go over the series of my life via poems, journal entries, quotes, songs, etc and show how my creator used these things to shape me into the woman I am. The goal is to spread some positivity, realness, & light in this world to whomever may stumble across this. With all of the evil in this world today, I am sure we all could use a little bit of HOPE.

    There's Hope Here

In this episode of HOPE, I’m sharing where I’ve been in this season; learning to slow down, let things be, and find safety .I talk about feelings not always being facts, I share about showing up in different spaces, the masks we wear to feel safe, and what it looks like to exist more honestly, without pressure or performance. This is your reminder: not every thought deserves a response, and you don’t have to believe everything your mind tells you.Just breathe. Just be. There’s still hope here.

Trauma in the Body, Pt. 2 : My Journey!

Hollaaa. I’m back after some time away, and in this episode, I’m sharing what God’s been showing me about my body, healing, and His nearness through it all. From dealing with past trauma and health challenges to learning to actually listen to my body, this has been a journey of both faith and awareness. We’ll talk about how lament connects to the body, how God meets us in our pain, and end with a short grounding practice to help you slow down and breathe again.

    The World & Anxiety

The world feels heavy right now, and anxiety can rise with it. In this episode, we create space to process both current events and personal struggles with anxiety. You’ll hear practical coping tools—like grounding, breathing, journaling, and connection—along with Scripture reminders of God’s peace and hope. Even in uncertain times, you’re not alone, and there is light to hold onto. This episode is an invitation to pause, breathe, and remember: though we can’t control everything happening around us, we can take steps toward hope, resilience, and peace in the midst of it.

    Trauma in the Body

In this episode of H.O.P.E I dive into my top three takeaways from the book The Body Keeps the Score by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk. I unpack how the body remembers trauma, the ways trauma reshapes the brain, and practical approaches toward healing. I share these insights through my own lens—as a counselor-in-training and as someone passionate about mental health—so you’ll hear not just theory, but real reflections and encouragement. Whether you’re new to the book or looking for a fresh perspective, this episode offers a gentle, down-to-earth breakdown of complex ideas about trauma and recovery.

    Does pain really end ?

In this episode, Deona “DeDe” returns to Hope with a rebrand, sharing how my journey over the past year and a half has shaped my perspective. I explores the idea that pain doesn’t simply end—it evolves—and reflect on how hope remains alive even in messy, imperfect moments. Join me as I open up about growth, honesty, and the realness of life, inviting listeners to find hope in their own journeys.
