Discordia!, we go through the February/March 2026 issue of that swaggy mag, Discorder. Hear tunes from kers, who just won Shindig, our battle of the bands. In this episode, we ask the question: Do we happen to life, or does it happen to us? Both? Neither? Give and Take? In what ways? And soooo on and soooo forth, we chit and chat, we play some tunes with sprinkles of philosophy by the lovely voices of the CiTR Student Exec.

In this sunny dry leafy moody October we welcome you back to Hail! Discordia! Discorder Magazine brought us a jam-packed musical issue this season with many wonderful features from local music festivals such as Bass Coast, Music Waste, Green Auto Fest, Trooper Fest, and Sled Island. Zoie and Izzy open October’s episode with a meditation on how love blurs reality, and the bubble of a music festival can do the same thing. Conversation ensues about what makes art more real for us, and ourselves more real for participating in art. Dreamy tunes and electronic beats are featured as well. As always, thank you for listening. Tune in to dream on our wavelength <333

Waddup Discordia listeners, do we have a treat for you!! This week, we had the delight of interviewing Small Crush, a band from San Leandro, California (Zoie's hometown!). This was their first back time in Vancouver after 5 years. Just before their electric show at Green Auto Zone, we piled into the back of the band's tour van and got to chatting with Logan, the lead singer. We covered hometown nostalgia, writing dynamics in a band, tagging the Red Gate bathroom, albums one would bring into a bunker if the world was ending, and, of course, how Small Crush came to be. Step into the scene with us on this one - you'll hear openers in the background, us messing with car roof lights, and giggles all around. Back in the studio, Zoie and Izzy continued the chat and covered finding peace in the temporary. We luv u all <3

This month, we came to you live from the studio again. But we included a special treat: a pre-recorded interview with Sophie Galloway, who interviewed Canadian artist, Devours! Sophie's interview and photography is featured in the October/November episode of Discorder Magazine. We talked with Sophie about her experience working with Devours, and the ways that artistic expression can serve as a hub for the “big feelings”. And then we had ANOTHER special treat: our dear friend William joining us in the studio! We chatted about the important of childhood favourite songs - why our favourite things stick with us the way they do, and what’s important about the transportive quality of music. ANDDD we heard from our lovely listeners about their own relationship with music — the gift that just keeps on giving. We shared, we giggled, we analyzed, and we fawned over Tyler the Creator’s furniture. Listen up and enjoy!! We will indeed be taking a break for December. We need our beauty rest and so do you. In this episode, we're coming to you liveeeee (for the first time ever)!! We had a lovely chat with Kiana, who interviewed the futuristic android-like musician Vot and turned it into a stellar article for the October/November Discorder Magazine issue. Vot's self-titled album, VOT, takes the listener to the year 4044 and asks the deeper questions about what we as humanity owe to our future. We covered themes surrounding society and technology, including the use of tech as a form of escapism, how the essence of humanity may change with innovation, and if we're cyborgs???? Tune in for a good-ol' ponder-sesh, and hear us discuss research articles along with our own thoughts on these topics. We'll see you next time on November 23rd <3!!
