Happy Hour
by Sanilac Broadcasting Company
It's a sports talk show. Well, not quite. More accurately, it's like your local dive bar, with all the off-the-wall conversations, ranting and raving about your favorite sports team, and booze that you'd expect. And Sean Cantwell and Adam Harahuc are the two guys at the end of the bar who've got something to say about everything, whether it's sports, music, pop culture, current events, or beer!

Happy Hour 8-14-26
The Tigers might just play themselves into a playoff spot after all! Does Tarik Skubal really want to come back to Detroit?
-
173
Happy Hour 8-10-26
Sean and crew had a blast at the Port Sanilac Blues Festival! Thankfully we had somebody that knew how to set up our post at the festival, 'cause it certainly wasn't Sean or Eddie. The Lions make Jahmyr Gibbs the highest paid running back in football, and nobody's mad about that. Cade Mays is out for a long while, and the replacement options are not great. The Tigers continue their winning ways on their West Coast road trip! Who do you want to be the Red Wings' next GM? Not anybody from the AI slop we got served. And could the NHL look to relocation instead of expansion?
-
172
Happy Hour 8-5-26
Welp, Casey Mize is gone too. ESPN thinks the Tigers were losers at the trade deadline, and Sean finds their logic faulty at best. Are you rooting for Skubal to suck in Los Angeles? Adam is not, and we all know where Sean's at on this. Jahmyr Gibbs is holding out for a new deal two years early, and Bijan Robinson just set the market. Do you really have a choice other than to give Gibbs what he wants? Facebook is serving up bad reviews of random restaurants for some reason. Makes us miss MySpace... which may be making a comeback?
-

Happy Hour 8-3-26
The Tarik Skubal saga is finally over! The return wasn't bad either. Who else might be leaving between now and 6PM? The buzzkills trying to ruin the Yale Bologna Festival showed up to protest. A cop goes "undercover" as a shrub to bust distracted drivers, which seems counterproductive at best.

Happy Hour 7-30-26
Lapeer DDA Director Jim Alt joins the show to talk about Friday's Back To The Bricks Tune-Up event and the other fun stuff going on around downtown Lapeer this month. There's been quite the uptick in e-bike and e-scooter accidents in Detroit, and it's not exactly hard to see why. Another example of how different drinking culture is in the US vs. across the pond. And a group of buzzkills want to keep kids from enjoying an area festival.

Happy Hour 7-28-26
The Eastern Michigan State Fair starts today... we may not be broadcasting this year, but there's no chance we're staying away entirely! Tuscolapalooza is also this weekend, and that lineup looks like a great time! A kid from Oakland County goes out joyriding at triple digit speeds.. after the cops already had to help get him gas! Are we gonna have any healthy safeties for the Lions this year? Warde Manuel manages to get paid even more to not do his job. And Adam has something to really set Sean off at the end of today's show!
-
168
Happy Hour 7-27-26
If you were looking for a statement series out of the Tigers, this... was not it. Should the Tigers sit Skubal until the trade deadline? And the Jack White show at Pine Knob on Saturday was awesome... the phone pouch thing, less so.
-
167
Happy Hour 7-24-26
David Lee Roth cancels the rest of his tour because nobody's buying tickets. Can't imagine why Diamond Dave isn't drawing crowds. Sean's excited for Jack White at Pine Knob this weekend... less so about the phone policy. Patrick Kane's going back to Chicago. Should have made Connor Bedard an offer and forced Chicago to match it. Maybe Dylan Larkin wants to stay here after all? And Tarik Skubal really should stop talking to the media.
-
166
Happy Hour 7-23-26
Billy Joel says he doesn't want to record a new album because he doesn't want to ruin his legacy with sub-par music, and Liam Gallagher says there won't be new music from Oasis for similar reasons. Do they have a point?
-
165
Happy Hour 7-22-26
The Tigers get blown out last night, and MLB decides we need that matchup on national TV in primetime. Motley Crue was in town Monday night, and the reviews were... underwhelming, to say the least. And Sam LaPorta's actually healthy again!
-
164
Happy Hour 7-21-26
Well, it may have taken 10 innings to get there, but at least the Tigers won! Another Tarik Skubal report from ESPN that we guess we have to address. Does it even make sense for the Dodgers to trade for him? CD's are making a comeback, and we kinda get it. A new music festival is coming to Utica this fall! And Bob Seger's teasing something... pretty sure it ain't a new tour.
-
163
Happy Hour 7-20-26
Sean's back from vacation, and it did not go quite as planned. And of course, big news broke while he was away... the Steve Yzerman era is over in Detroit. Could the Wings keep Dylan Larkin after all? And Warde Manuel is out at Michigan. What took so long?
-
162
Happy Hour 7-17-26
Another list that may or may not be trash... this time, it's Collider's 10 Best Grunge Albums of the 90's!
-
161
Happy Hour 7-16-26
MLB's new ABS system is truly doing the lord's work chasing Laz Diaz and several other awful umpires out of the sport. Airlines really are determined to overcharge for everything, even things they're not actually providing you. And another story that will keep Sean from ever getting on a plane again!
-
160
Happy Hour 7-15-26
Just when Sean thought he was safe to leave town... Steve Yzerman is no longer the GM of the Red Wings. Fox begs viewers not to stop watching soccer after Team USA gets eliminated from the World Cup. And we do our best to fix all of this country's pro sports leagues, and college sports too! What rule changes would you make to fix your favorite sport?
-
159
Happy Hour 7-14-26
We are both rather thankful we don't work outdoors at times like these! And we bring back This List Is Trash, this time for Entertainment Weekly's 25 Greatest Rock and Roll Songs of All Time!
-
158
Happy Hour 7-13-26
This might be the only day this week we actually talk about sports... well, mostly. A guy gets flipped by a bison basically for existing, and this really should be a lesson to the rest of you. Tarik Skubal claims he wants to be here and wants to pitch deeper into games... yet he hasn't signed a contract yet. Can he just quit talking to the media? Michigan and Warde Manuel are under fire yet again... how does Warde still have a job?
-
157
Happy Hour 7-10-26
We find ourselves fixing the NHL on multiple levels... Dylan Larkin may have added Dallas to his trade destination list, and the alleged trade that Seve Yzerman proposed shows that he is clearly unserious about making a trade at all. Adam has a solution to fix this. Anaheim pays through the nose to match Leo Carlsson's offer sheet, and Adam has a solution to fix that. And an NHL owner puts his entire family on the cup, and Adam has a rule change to fix that.
-
156
Happy Hour 7-9-26
Sean's got concert plans tonight thanks to Eddie Fury! A restaurant is fining parents over their unruly kids, and Sean is here for it. The Tigers may be in a bit of trouble without Dillon Dingler. And not every band can get away with not playing the hits...
-
155
Happy Hour 7-8-26
The news we were all expecting has finally come in... Justin Verlander is retiring at the end of this season. But not right now, apparently. Will we see him on the mound again this year? A collaboration that the well-fed gentlemen who host this radio show are very much looking forward to! Tarik Skubal wants the Tigers to buy at the deadline. But why do we care what he wants when he's made no indication that he wants to be here after this year?
-
154
Happy Hour 7-7-26
So, we can stop pretending as a country to care about soccer now, right? Jack White's turning his Pine Knob gig into a full-on festival! Apparently Dylan Larkin's list of preferred landing spots is still rather short. It's National Dive Bar Day; how do you define a dive bar, and what's your favorite one?
-
153
Happy Hour 7-6-26
The Tigers had a decent road trip, but are still 10 games under .500. Yet, they're only five games out of a wild card spot. Gene Simmons goes on a political rant at a show... after bashing artists that rant about politics at shows. The Rolling Stones have no interest in doing residency shows. And could the Red Wings lose one of their young defensemen?
-
152
Happy Hour 7-2-26
Chris Robinson lost it at a Black Crowes show the other night, and Adam wonders why anybody is surprised. A couple got engaged atop the Empire State Building... good thing she said yes, we suppose. The Tigers keep winning, and Adam is still looking for any opportunity to throw Zach McKinstry's success in Sean's face... when said success actually happens. Dylan Larkin's losing the C regardless of whether he gets traded... who gets it next? Adam has a suggestion that Sean isn't buying. And three teams have reached out to Terrion Arnold since the Lions cut him.
-
151
Happy Hour 6-30-26
NHL Free Agency starts tomorrow! Some familiar names top the list of unrestricted free agents. Should the Wings just watch the world burn and throw out an offer sheet to the face of another franchise?
-
150
Happy Hour 6-29-26
The Wings made a couple trades over the weekend... but not the one we expected. They did make some decent picks in the draft, at least. Steve Yzerman says Dylan Larkin could still be on the team next season. Sean isn't sure what fantasy land Adam exists in where he thinks the Wings could make a run next year.
-
149
Happy Hour 6-26-26
Well, at least Troy Melton had a good game; nobody else on the Tigers did. The NHL Draft is tonight; will the Red Wings make a move? Reports indicate Dylan Larkin might still be on the Red Wings' roster come opening night; that can't seriously happen, right? If you were hoping the Wings would land Jason Robertson, check out the deal he just rejected from Seattle. The Larkin debacle is only going to make it harder to land free agents here. What are the odds Larkin is here by opening night?
-
148
Happy Hour 6-25-26
Forget about being ready for the start of the season... Terrion Arnold may have played his last NFL game ever, and might be looking at life in prison. What do the Lions do now? And Adam has a bold proposal to fix the NHL.
-
147
Happy Hour 6-24-26
The Tigers lost, and it's all Adam's fault. Somehow Mike Babcock got another NHL coaching gig. How soon until he loses it? Another major trade happened in the NHL, yet still crickets from the Wings. Will Dylan Larkin even be traded before opening night? And could the Wings land Jason Robertson?
-
146
Happy Hour 6-23-26
Will the Pistons swing a move for another scorer before tonight's draft? They may have dodged a bullet by not being involved in the Giannis deal.
-
145
Happy Hour 6-22-26
Well, we didn't have Dusty May leaving Michigan for the NBA on our bingo card, but here we are. If you're a Michigan fan, can you really be upset about it? It does illustrate just how much college sports have changed in just the last few years. There is one person Michigan fans should probably be upset with, though... their AD.
-
144
Happy Hour 6-19-26
The conversation about Justin Verlander's return to the mound has not been encouraging... and he's now officially been scratched from Sunday's start. Will Patrick Kane be the next Red Wing to leave? Could Alex DeBrincat follow?
-
143
Happy Hour 6-18-26
Another piece of our childhood gone... Hockey Night In Canada is no more. Another example of sports leagues trying to price their fans out of being fans. What Is AJ Hinch Doing With The Tigers' Lineup, Part 7,429. And yet, you can't count the Tigers out completely. Should the Lions take Brendan Sorsby in the supplemental draft? MCDC isn't ruling it out.
-
142
Happy Hour 6-16-26
Rod Stewart bails on a concert 40 minutes before the start time, only to show up at a soccer match that night. Sean and Adam can't see bailing on anything for soccer. Michigan State is once again looking for an athletic director. Can we just give Tom Izzo the gig already? Sharon Osbourne is offended that people think her latest cash grab featuring an AI Ozzy is, in fact, a cash grab. David Lee Roth is back on tour, and... he probably should have stayed retired. A friend of the show strongly disagrees, and so does Adam.
-
141
Happy Hour 6-15-26
Sean's kinda thankful the Tigers game got rained out Sunday, 'cause their last two did not go well. Can we just end the Jahmai Jones experiment already? This year's Stanley Cup Finals were great, but can the NHL capitalize on that next season when there's (probably) no baseball to contend with? Sean thinks there's one thing that might prevent that from happening.
-
140
Happy Hour 6-12-26
A good friend of Dylan Larkin also wants out of his current team, and Adam smells collusion. Larkin has expanded his trade destinations, and we run down some potential trade proposals involving him.
-
139
Happy Hour 6-10-26
Sean's just triggering everybody today, with rumors of Mike Babcock returning to the NHL, and hardcore guys getting set off by banana costumes!
-
138
Happy Hour 6-9-26
Adam goes to the movies for the first time in forever, and forgot just how expensive it is. He's also now the proud owner of a boat he never asked for. And college football officially has no rules anymore.
-
137
Happy Hour 6-8-26
What a finish to Sunday's Tigers game! Dylan Larkin has revealed his preferred trade destinations. Can the Wings get a deal done with any of them?
-
136
Happy Hour 6-5-26
Adam really is turning into his dad. 24 hours after the news broke that Dylan Larkin wants out in Detroit, has anything more embarrassing ever happened to this team? Do you blame Larkin? Do you blame Steve Yzerman? Adam blames neither somehow. And this has been a rather exciting Stanley Cup Finals!
-
135
Happy Hour 6-4-26
A shocker to kick things off today... Dylan Larkin wants out in Detroit. Do you blame him for wanting out? Who could the Wings get for him? Do they *have* to trade him? The Tigers swept the Rays, but still have a losing record and are 11 games out of the division. What would the Tigers have to do to get you back on board? And Dan Campbell is not optimistic about Kerby Joseph's recovery.
-
134
Happy Hour 6-2-26
Adam had quite the fun time at the Sessions Concert Series on Saturday! Since we're now also Lapeer's hometown station, Jim Alt from the Lapeer DDA drops by to chat about downtown events! We're clearly not getting baseball in 2027, are we? And a soccer player gets run over by the med cart... better bust out the magic spray.
-
133
Happy Hour 6-1-26
Welcome to our new listeners who have been displaced by their classic rock station going all-sports. Now let's talk sports! The Tigers are in free fall. This is obviously Scott Harris' fault, but AJ Hinch has done some questionable things of late. An all-in trade by the Rams just proves how timid the GM's in this town are.
-
132
Happy Hour 5-29-26
The Tigers are in free fall, and Sean requests a moratorium on Tarik Skubal trade talk. Jack Campbell decided he didn't need to be the highest paid player at his position, and Sean thinks it proves Skubal doesn't want to be a Tiger. Even though we're probably not going to have baseball in 2027, MLB is once again talking expansion. The musical lineup for America's 250th birthday bash is getting more disappointing by the minute. A brawl breaks out at a kindergarten graduation. Do we really need graduation ceremonies at every grade level? And we finally bring back Unsolicited Advice for a couple that got some rather rude comments from the server at a fine dining establishment.

Morning Fury 5-29-26
Summer is finally underway, even if it's a week late. Sportsline is coming back this fall, and Eddie won an award! Good thing Sean and Eddie's wives have green thumbs, 'cause there's no way either of them are tending the garden! Scientists have solved the mystery behind pigeons' sense of direction, and we may have figured out why Sean's so good at navigation as well! RIP Claude Lemieux. And we learn that there's not only a Steroid Games, but that people who don't even take steroids can compete and even win!
-

Happy Hour 5-28-26
There's at least a little upside to Vegas making it to the Stanley Cup Finals! A Red Wings trade we want no part of. And we finish off with This List Is Trash, featuring Rolling Stone's list of the most disappointing albums of all time!
-
129
Happy Hour 5-27-26
Spotify would really appreciate if you'd stop calling their AI slop "AI slop." And at least Colorado didn't make it to the NHL Finals?
-
128
Happy Hour 5-22-26
Sean and Adam have a pitch to make to the local dive bars and watering holes of the Thumb and Bluewater area. The Tigers are still awful, and it's not even because the entire pitching rotation is dead. Why are Wenceel Perez and Zach Short still everyday players? Do you consider trading Tarik Skubal before the deadline? The Lions re-sign Jack Campbell, and we're entirely good with it. The members of Live are still fighting over who gets to use the name. Replacing the singer doesn't work out very often, with a few notable exceptions. And it's Storytime with Uncle Adam, as his home life descends into chaos thanks to a... rogue chicken?
-
127
Morning Fury 5-22-26
It's Memorial Day weekend, which means summer is officially underway... but Eddie reminds everybody about the real reason for the holiday, and dives into a bit of his family's military history. Apparently it's National Distillery Day, and Sean and Eddie might need to track down some locally made booze! The Tigers are trash right now, and Sean could go on a rant about that for the rest of the show if we'd let him. Eddie's found a world record the state of Michigan needs to take back from Ohio! And in a bit that (probably wisely) didn't make it to the live show this morning, apparently Hooters is in a bit of trouble, and Sean and Eddie attempt to figure out just why that is.
-
126
Happy Hour 5-21-26
...we're gonna need another 24 hours to process how horrendous the Tigers are. Adam's not thrilled about an upcoming reboot. The Super Bowl host city has been announced for 2030. We are never getting another one in Detroit, are we? We pay our respects to Schlitz as it gets discontinued for good. An MLB fan trend even worse than The Wave? Finally, a Tesla driver with more dollars than sense tests out "wade mode" in a lake, and it goes exactly the way you'd expect.
-
125
Happy Hour 5-20-26
The Tigers are 4-17 this month... why is Riley Greene batting 5th in the order? There might finally be some good news for this team, though! Adam and Sean can agree on at least one team they're okay with hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup. And John Tortorella continues to be a great source of content for this show.
