HarinGay Radio is a four-part podcast and soundscape amplifying queer voices, histories and communities from the north London borough of Haringey.Inspired by the radical traditions of community radio and pirate broadcasting, the series brings together voices from across the borough through workshops, conversations and recordings with local residents, artists, activists, historians and community leaders. Blending interviews, field recordings and shared memories, HarinGay Radio creates a vibrant sound portrait of Haringey’s queer past and present.Across four episodes, contributors explore stories that span generations—from growing up Black and gay in Finsbury Park, to women’s football, the impact of Section 28 and the energy of contemporary queer nightlife, including Tottenham’s Uhaul Dyke Rescue club nights. Drawing on Bruce Castle Museum’s collections, including the landmark children’s book Jenny Lives
