    Help My Unbelief! (Part 1)

In this episode of the Hebrews Faith podcast, host Eric Hansen delves into the topic of overcoming unbelief, referencing Matthew 9:24. He discusses the nature of faith and unbelief, explaining how faith involves a constant trust in God and the rejection of self-reliance. Eric explores the coexistence of doubt and faith, addressing the struggles Christians face in maintaining unwavering faith, citing Romans 3:23. He shares his personal journey with doubt and the importance of recalling one's testimony and salvation story to reaffirm faith. Eric emphasizes the significance of true repentance, which involves turning away from sin and seeking Christ's help. He also discusses the importance of loving others as oneself, as mentioned in Mark 12:30-31, and how genuine faith motivates actions without expectation. The episode concludes with a preview of the next episode, which will focus on steps to strengthen and grow one's faith in God.He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

Practicing Goodness In the Modern World

In this present time much of the thought process is focused on man, and more often than not towards self specifically.  We are always wondering what we can do or how we can do it, what can we get out of someone for doing a task for them. But this isn't how Jesus modeled Christ-like behavior for us, nor is it something that glorifies God.In 3 John, the apostle John introduces us to 2 different members of the church: Gaius and Diotrephes.  Gaius is what we may call an everyday member of the church, while Diotrephes is an elder at the church. This episode focused on Gaius by looking at 3 John 1-8, and explores Matthew 7:15-20 in the Bible as well to help link Gaius's actions to being Christ-like.He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Fear Brings Rest

Fear of the Lord brings rest for our souls and spirit. In this episode we explore how fear can bring peace and calmness to an ever-changing and moving life.  It's important to note too that fear of the Lord is not a bad thing.  It allows us to express to others and to God just how much respect we have, that we acknowledge the sheer power yet love He has for us.Scripture referenced:Hebrews 4:1-7Matt 11:28-29He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

Am I Saved If I Can't Hear God?

Christians, especially ones just starting to explore their faith can become trapped in this thought that if they can't hear God's voice then they aren't saved. The entire thought of this can be grouped into a single statement: God's voice is the Bible. This episode expands on this though and illustrates why not audibly hearing God does not mean we aren't saved.Article referenced in episode: https://www.str.org/w/does-god-whisper-part-1He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Every Season Changes

Christians go through cycles throughout their walk of faith. Some of these seasons are pleasing and joyous, while others are meant to prune and strengthen us. Both ways we should see them as God allowing us to go through these moments. This episode focuses on a passage of scripture that embodies this exact process, and the recognition that every moment is a blessing from God when put under the proper context of God first.ScriptureEcclesiastes 3:1-8John 15:21 Corinthians 10:13He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Ways to Share the Gospel

Many Christians today aren't raised up in the Spirit to know how to share the gospel, yet Jesus calls us to do such in Matthew 28:16-20 (The Great Commission). In this episode we discuss some ways to not only share the gospel, but how it can be applied in normal day-to-day activities. If we are truly loving towards others, we will want to do what we are gifted to do in order that we encourage others to know Jesus as well.  The first step in this process is knowing how, and the second step is doing it.ScriptureMatthew 6:19-21Colossians 3:23-24Ephesians 6:12He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

What Is the Gospel (and Why Is It Important?)

The gospel, or good news as it is also often translated, should be an integral part of every Christian’s life. Not only is it Christ-focused and Christ-centered, but it is also Christ’s message for us to share with the world. If you know what the gospel is then that’s great. That’s only a third of the equation, however. You still have to know how you can present it to a new believer to help encourage them. An even tougher part is how to express it to a non-believer in hopes God softens their heart to His grace and mercy.Scripture    Romans 6:5-7    Romans 6:23    Ezekiel 3:18-19    John 14:6He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

A short sample of what the next episode, releasing this Sunday, is covering! The gospel is important, and we always hear that we need to share it as well, but very few really talk about what it is and exactly why we need to share it.  This episode will be focusing on these points as well as some ways we can apply it in our daily activities.Releasing every other Sunday, you are always invited to grow in Jesus Christ and follow him through scripture, reflection and application. He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Prayer for Evangelism

Evangelism is becoming a lost art form, even when it should be as simple as talking to a friend.  While there's many reasons for this to be an ever-increasing difficult task, lets first focus on prayer and Christ Jesus, our Lord & Savior. This episode is a prayer for those listening, as well as those in the functioning body of the Church, to be encouraged.  Find strength through the Father and Jesus to speak about the good news we have to share with others.Scripture:1 Peter 3:14-17He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Importance of Prayer

Prayer is important for every Christian, no matter where they are in their walk with Christ.  However, it's also easy to skip over why it's important and why we should, and instead turn it into some chore or ritual.  Long-gone are the days of us having to burn things at the altar for any sacrificial reason, Christ did that for us and so much more on the cross. In this episode we look at some scripture to support the importance of talking to God, through the Holy Spirit, and some subtle ways to recognize God's responses to our prayers.Scripture:Hebrews 1:1-22 Timothy 3:16-17Acts 2:1-4Matthew 6:7-82 Timothy 31 Timothy 5:8Galatians 5:22-23Supporting content:https://thelife.com/six-ways-god-speaksHe Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    2022-04-25 Prayer

This episode goes into a bit of detail of why there's been a pause in episodes, but also where the energy of this podcast is directing itself to now. While a short episode, I feel it's important for us to remember that prayer is very much an important part of being a Christian.  Not just prayer in times of need either, but of praise and just general conversation with our Father.

    We Will Never Be Perfect

Talking about perfectionism and ADHD as a Christian, and how it can impact lives and ministries. This is more raw than most episodes that have been released thus far.  Both to remind anyone that perfect is impossible, but also as a therapeutic stance to not strive for perfection but excellence. The only perfect human was Jesus Christ, and one can easily argue that's because he was also divine.  We should instead focus on being children of God, designed in His image, instead of a contorted image we see ourselves being.

    Being a Godly Son

It's important to understand what each of our roles are in both the Church and our families. Each of us were given a specific purpose to fulfill. The father to instruct, the mother to nurture, the son and daughter to respect. (Eph. 5:21-33) But in this day it's easier to find people who don't know that this exists in the Bible, let alone how to apply it to this world. While I won't go into the other half of this topic, being the female side. As a male I can speak on the male-specific areas. In this episode I'll be talking about how to become a better son, whether we are 5 or 75. Just because we reach the age of maturity or adulthood doesn't exempt us from always being a son in a different regard.Scripture:- Ephesians 5:21-33- Ephesian 6:1-3- Colossians 3:20- Exodus 20:12- 2 Timothy 3:16- Proverbs 6:20He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

On March 22, 2021 a total of 10 people lost their lives.  Today their names were released.  Christians need to always come together in times of joy and sorrow, this being no different. While this doesn't diminish the loss of life during all the other moments in this world, if you haven't yet then let this be the moment you pray sincerely for those you may not know. This episode is a prayer for those impacted some way by the deaths of the following:Eric TalleyTralona BartkowiakSuzanne FountainTeri LeikerKevin MahoneyLynn MurrayRikki OldsNeven StanisicDenny StongJody WatersHe Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Spiritual Warfare - Front Armor

Everyone faces spiritual warfare, but how can we be prepared?Paul instructs us in Ephesians 6:10-20 on how we can find comfort in God's grace to keep us protected through these times.  An entire book on this could easily be written, and it has more than once.  But not all content is created equal. Here we look at the first 3 articles of armor and go into detail about the significance of not only how they apply to us but why Paul gave them the attributes he did.He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

Spiritual Warfare - What Is It?

An extremely important element of every Christian's life is the quality of our spirit.  It is also the biggest part of our walk in Christ that gets attacked, becomes damaged and needs repair. In this series we talk about what spiritual warfare is, things to look for and how to conquer it.This episode focuses on what it is and gives some examples of how it may look in our lives.Scripture referenced:Ephesians 6:10–12Matthew 5:28Job 1:6–12Job 2:1–8Colossians 2:13–15He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

Am I Wrong to Seek Help?

Mental health and Christianity has been an interesting, if not diverse topic for a while.  This episode touches on the topic to help explore the idea that it's okay to need help outside of elders.  Even teachers of the word can need it as well. It's time we start celebrating those who are seeking to serve God as fruitfully as they can.  2020 has seen its fair share of Christians, prolific and otherwise, taking their own lives due to the stigmas.  Superman isn't real, we are all humans and we should love one another.  Remove the pedestals and give them encouragement, bathed in respect and admiration.Scripture:- Colassians 3:16-17He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Am I Saved?

Our end goal is to spend eternity with God.  Satan's end goal is to keep us away from God for eternity.  Our key to the puzzle is our salvation.  But what happens when we start doubting whether we are saved or not?In this episode we address this.  Having already covered salvation being our foundation and what we should seek in a biblical church, we now wrestle with the idea of knowing we are to be with God or not.We also look at the scripture of Ephesians 2:8-9James 2:14-26Acts 16:30-31Matthew 7:21He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

What Makes A Church Biblical (Part 2) - The Gospel

The gospel is the foundation of not only our salvation but of the church as well. As we continue our focus on what a Biblical church is, we address what the Biblical gospel is as well.  Finding peace in knowing that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross so you don't have to suffer, and that we have an escape from the eternal separation from God we are all deserving of.Scripture:John 3:162 Thessalonians 1:5-10He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

What Makes A Church Biblical (Part 1)

Looking for a new or first church?  There is definitely not a shortage of options in areas, and with the Internet existing as it does now the options are virtually endless. However, there is one key aspect to church finding that you should hold firmly to, and that it is Biblical.  While this term is used frequently for this, it can be hard to discern what this means to a non-believer or newborn Christian. In this episode we discuss the foundations of a Biblical church and things to keep aware of, along with how we can better understand what the church is about.Scripture: 1 John 4:1-3He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    A New Journey

God will give us more than we can handle.  It is our reliance on him that makes it possible to deal with the adversities we face.  In this episode a couple of different topics are touched on:* Why we are not a part of Olive Branch church anymore* Exploring what we are looking for in a church* Plans for growth for the ministry and this podcastHe Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Isolation as an Introverted Christian

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in various ways.  In this episode we explore how isolation from quarantine, while important, can also hurt us in various ways including spiritually.  While this is a personal account, and not reflective every Christian, it is a topic that can be easily overshadowed.Scripture: Matthew 18:20 (ESV), Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NLT)He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Be Focused in Distractions

How do Christians face the struggle of keeping our attention to God in a world where everything and everyone demands our attention?  While some troubles are easier to overcome than others, they all occupy our time away from God to where we start thinking of him less and less.  When this starts happening we need to look at how this happened, and what we can do to find our way back to our Heavenly Father again.Scripture(s) read: Colossians 3:1-4, Luke 12:24, Philippians 4:4-9, Matthew 6:33He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

    Idols Leading Astray

News recently got out that Jon Steingard denounced his faith to God.  This episode looks at the reasons he gave and how we can explore these ourselves.  We also look at the scripture in the Bible, 1 Timothy 2:8-14, speaking on ministry.  This episode will not be a deep dive into this scripture, but it is an often-quoted passage for how "oppressive" Christianity is towards women.  A future episode will look at this deeper and also explain in more detail why this is not oppressive.

    Salvation As Your Foundation

Salvation how it's obtained is very important.  How we consider the way to Heaven should direct us as Christians as to where to focus our energy and time the most.  While many churches and individuals have their own unique ways of looking at this often contested matter, this episode focuses on what the Bible says about the matter. While the aim is to not force you to believe in a certain manner, we feel it is necessary to share the Biblical stance a Christian should be able to take if they want to live a life like Jesus.

    Changing the Me to You

Change is often difficult to deal with, especially when it means changing yourself.  While this is a life-long adventure, always finding areas that need changed or improved, starting with yourself can see lasting effects in other areas as well.  But what does that look like as a Christian?  How can we stop thinking about yourself and instead turning the attention to God?  This episode talks about doing this in a self-reflective manner  by changing how you address the situations you'll find yourself in.He Brews Ministries website: https://www.hebrewsministries.orgThe ministry's website also has a prayer form that lets us know you have a praise or prayer.Fill this out and the ministry will pray over whatever is on your heart, and can reach out to you to see how God is working in your life.Hebrews 13:1, NIV: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.
