Part I, The Edomite Hypothesis, argues from first-century historiography, modern genetics, and prophetic Scripture that the ruling class of modern Jerusalem—like the Herodian dynasty of antiquity—are largely Edomite (Idumean) converts to Judaism and not the biological descendants of the Tribe of Judah. Part II, The Lost Sheep Found, then addresses the natural follow-on question raised by Part I: if the modern Ashkenazi are not ethnic Israel, where are the true genetic descendants of Jacob today? To answer this poignant question, I present eight data-driven criteria anchored to the biblical timeline of the 1446 BC Exodus and the 1399 BC Conquest of Canaan. In this portion of the study, I have presented and tested my hypothesis against peer-reviewed genetic research, ancient DNA studies, historical primary sources, and comparative linguistics. Both parts are governed by two foundational principles: first, salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by blood or ancestry (Gal 3:28; Rom 10:13); second, God declared that ethnic Israel would never cease to exist as a distinct people (Jer 31:35-37). Consequently, they can be found.
