When we know who God is, and know Him personally, our hurts and fears are healed. More than knowing facts about Him, we need to know Him. God wants to heal our hearts thru His Word as we get to know Him.

The cross is God's first proof of His kindness toward us.
Jesus joined us in all of the consequences of sin: helplessness, shame, hopelessness, condemnation, and death. He did it to save us from all those things. If we will consider it closely, the cross will heal us of our anger toward God for our hurts.

Why were we created? For God to play games with?
God did some odd things in Genesis that looked unkind, such as asking Abraham to kill his son. But God did not create us to be playthings, but friends. We are meant to see God's goodness thru His command to Abraham.

Knowing God is the foundation of your life
Imperfect fathers give us false impressions of who God is. Through the Bible we correct our concept what a father is, and who the Father is. This is the beginning of healing in our lives.
