Who's watched "The Good Nurse" on Netflix?  Did you know that it's based on a true story? On this episode of Healthcare Horrors, we talk all about Charles Cullen. Who, most definitely, is NOT a good nurse.

This one is recent! As the case unfolds we will follow the alleged murders of Lucy Letby. Letby is a neonatal nurse in the UK who is currently on trial for the murder of 7 babies and attempted murder of 10 more. This day and age you think there would be more screenings for mental health in this kind of industry, but you just never know who is capable of such tragic things.

Alicia keeps us on track today as we chat about Danvers State Hospital. This is the last installment of our haunted hospitals/asylums for October and travel nurse recruiter, Erica Bradford is our guest! This facility was started with all of the best intentions and implementations for patient success. After being denied state funding, the facility quickly became overcrowded and macabre treatments such as insulin induced coma therapy and straight jackets plummeted its success. Part of this "lunatic asylum" still stands as apartments and the residents respect the ghostly history.

Not all ghosts are bad. In 1827 the "inmates" were taken to the Genesee County Poor House against their will and created their own community. Over 1,700 people died on the property, but it sounds like they don't hate their forever home. Would you visit?

At a very young age he was a trouble maker that under went psychic evaluation and was diagnosed mentally unstable. After serving in WWI he was able to get his medical degree through an accelerated medical program which opened the door to more schemes and murder. Then during WWII he started Operation Flytox. Was he a member of the French Resistance and killing the German enemies or was he just taking advantage of France's turmoil to commit murder?

Welcome to Healthcare Horrors! On special today: a cheeseburger with a side of arsenic. Mmmm! Donald Harvey never felt like he was in control of his life. He had a rocky childhood due to sexual abuse and a few head injuries. It was eventually murder that made him feel like he was in control and couldn't get the taste out of his mouth. Harvey was a hospital orderly/nursing assistant who eventually adopted a Neo-Nazi, German alias and was into the occult.

Born in 1953 in Stockholm, Sweden. Outside of his murders, that's all we know about "Doctor" Teet Haerm. Warning: If you have a weak stomach, this probably isn't for you. Strangled victims, necrophilia, and cannibalism are all mentioned in this episode.
