I had the privilege to talk to Corinne Goodwin, the founder and president of Eastern PA Trans Equity Project. This was a slight step out of my Easton business owner interviews to highlight the transgender community at a time when their rights are being stripped away by the government. Most of the country base their feelings about the trans community on the rhetoric of those who don't really know or understand them. We tend to fear the unknown and as a wise individual once said, “...Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.” - Yoda. I hope that this interview will shed some light on the trans community and that you realize that they are just like you and me, trying to live their best lives and thrive in a world that can be very challenging.
