As a native Idahoan and a thoughtful conservative, I care deeply about the future of our communities and the families who call our state home. Blaine Conzatti serves as the President of Idaho Family Policy Center. He has established a proven track record of achievements in the family policy movement—including successfully drafting and championing the ‘Heartbeat’ bill, the “No Public Funds For Abortion Act,” and “Children’s School and Library Protection Act.” He also directed the effort to mobilize the conservative grassroots in support of the first-in-the-nation “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act” protecting girls’ high school and college sports.When he was nineteen years old, Blaine first encountered the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and subsequently left a career as an aspiring rock and jazz musician so he could study theology, government, and economics at Liberty University. Blaine soon learned that God’s truth impacts every area of life, and he quickly developed a passion for helping Christians fulfill the cultural commission to advocate these biblical truths in the public square. He has since earned a Juris Master (J.M.) from Liberty University School of Law.Before joining Idaho Family Policy Center, Blaine previously worked for one of our allied state organizations, Family Policy Institute of Washington. Additionally, he spent several years teaching humanities, theology, and apologetics courses at a classical Christian high school in Fairfax, VA. Brandon D Woolf,  Idaho's 21st State Controller, grew up on a dairy farm in Preston, Idaho, graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and earned a Master of Business Administration from Boise State University.  Mr. Woolf was appointed to fill the remainder of his predecessor’s term in 2012 and confirmed as State Controller by a unanimous vote of the Idaho State Senate. He was subsequently elected by the people of Idaho to a full term of office in 2014 and was reelected in 2018 and 2022. As State Controller, Mr. Woolf is responsible for accounting for all state expenditures by providing accounting services to state agencies, processing payroll for approximately 25,000 state employees, and operating the state’s largest data center. Additionally, he serves on the Idaho Board of Land Commissioners, as Secretary to the Idaho Board of Examiners, and on other state boards and commissions. Hallmarks of Mr. Woolf’s administration include initiatives to improve government transparency, efforts to increase efficiency and reduce costs via the consolidation of state IT infrastructure services and work to modernize the delivery of the accounting and payroll services provided by the State Controller’s Office. He had a staff of 15, including a full time lobbyist in Congress and another overseeing the Statehouses. Rod BeckDistrict 2 CommissionerChairmanRod Beck is the Chairman of the Ada County Board of Commissioners. Beck has an extensive background in conservative governance in Idaho including having served in the state Senate as Majority Leader.Beck believes it is critically important to work each day to uphold the Idaho Constitution. He believes government should operate within its means just as families do. Beck supports free markets, limited government and cultivating a business-friendly environment. He believes property taxes are too high and is working to address the issue in part by limiting government spending where appropriate.Beck’s considerable experience includes serving as Executive Director of the Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA) whose mission is to provide funding for affordable housing opportunities in Idaho communities where they are most needed. Additionally he has nearly four decades experience as a real estate broker.Beck was instrumental in transforming the underutilized horse racing track at Ada County’s Expo Idaho property into a once-in-a-generation park set to open in the late summer of 2026. Alex J. Adams, PharmD, MPH, serves as Assistant Secretary for Family Support, leading the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He was nominated to lead the agency by President Donald J. Trump and was confirmed on October 7, 2025, by a vote of the U.S. Senate. Assistant Secretary Adams brings years of health, human services, education, and regulatory expertise to advance President Trump and Secretary Kennedy’s broader vision to Make American Healthy Again. Prior to leading ACF, Dr. Adams spent more than ten years in Idaho State Government, most notably as Governor Brad Little’s budget and regulatory director and state Department of Health & Welfare director. In these capacities, he oversaw the state’s first upgrade to a AAA credit rating with both Fitch Ratings and Moody’s. Dr. Adams led the Governor’s zero-based regulation initiative, which resulted in Idaho becoming the least regulated state in the nation. He also made significant efforts to improve Idaho’s child welfare system, enacting kin-specific licensing standards, announcing paid family leave for foster parents, extending foster care to age 23, and overseeing record recruitment and retention of foster homes, and ending diversion of Social Security survivor benefits.Dr. Adams earned his bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toledo in Ohio and his Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. Darl Bruner was sworn into office as Nampa’s 32nd Mayor on June 15, 2026. Mayor Bruner was appointed by Nampa City Council following the sudden passing of Mayor Rick Hogaboam, who suffered a medical incident just over 70 days after taking office. Darl Bruner was born in Nampa, grew up in Boise and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Northwest Nazarene University. After graduation, he was a Juvenile Probation Officer for Canyon County. After graduate work at the University of Utah, Darl entered the business world, operating businesses in Seattle, South Dakota, North Dakota, Winnipeg (Canada), Edmonton (Canada), Alaska and a second business in the Seattle area.In 1994, he chose to make a career change so he could be at home with his young children. He worked at Northwest Nazarene University for 30 years before retiring as the Director of Alumni Relations in 2025.Mayor Bruner served on Nampa City Council for eight years, ending in January 2024. Mayor Brad PikeBrad Pike is the Mayor of Eagle Idaho, elected in 2023.  Before being elected Mayor of the City of Eagle, Brad served on the Eagle City Council as Council President.  He also served as a Liaison to the Eagle Urban Renewal District, Eagle Sewer District, and the Eagle Senior Center. He is currently serving in his second term as fire commissioner for the Eagle Fire District. Brad came to Eagle after retiring at the rank of Captain from his career in the fire service with the Santa Clara County Fire in California. While in California, he served as a city council member, Vice Mayor, and Mayor for the City of Hollister, California.  He also served as a chairman for the Council of San Benito County Governments, which is responsible for local transportation needs.  Prior to his fire career, he had the opportunity to coach the national baseball team for Guatemala and teach Junior High School for a small Christian school in Hemet, California. Brad earned Bachelor of Arts degree from Point Loma Nazarene University while playing one of his favorite sports, baseball. Brad and his wife, Tami, have been married for over 30 years and have two grown boys.  Dr. John C. Wagner is the director of Idaho National Laboratory and president of Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC. He is responsible for management and integration of a large, multipurpose laboratory whose mission focuses on nuclear energy, national and homeland security, and energy and environment science and technology. He manages this U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratory of approximately 5,200 scientists, engineers and support staff in multiple nuclear and nonnuclear experimental facilities, with an annual budget of over $1.3 billion. Wagner began serving as INL director on Dec. 11, 2020. He has more than 20 years of experience performing research, and managing and leading research and development projects, programs and organizations. He has been at INL since 2016 and served as associate laboratory director for Nuclear Science and Technology (NS&T) since 2017. His previous roles included director of Domestic Programs in NS&T and director of the Technical Integration Office for the DOE-NE Light Water Reactor Sustainability Program at INL. Wagner initially joined INL as the chief scientist at the Materials and Fuels Complex in 2016. Wagner received a B.S. in nuclear engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1992, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Pennsylvania State University in 1994 and 1997, respectively. Following graduate school, Wagner joined Holtec International as a principal engineer, performing criticality safety analyses and licensing activities for spent fuel storage pools and storage and transportation casks. Tom Gilles is a professional snowboarder. He was a world record holder and has appeared in extreme sports movies and TV commercials.As a high school student, Tom dreamed of being a professional snowboarder. He moved to Lake Tahoe, and the first day on the slopes, his dream took off. Sebastian Griffin is a 5th generation Idahoan and a Nampa native. He and his wife Macy met while attending Nampa High School and have strong roots in the community. Sebastian is a graduate from College of Western Idaho, Boise State University, and is currently attending University of Idaho, College of Law in Boise. He is pursuing a joint Juris Doctor and Masters in Accounting and Taxation.Sebastian is a small business owner, and comes from a family of entrepreneurs. He has owned his Marketing and Consulting firm, Griffin Marketing (formerly Griffin and Griffin Consulting), for five years.Sebastian is one of Idaho’s youngest authors of a major education bill, which passed and was signed into law in 2019, Senate Bill 1060. He has previously served as a board member for Nampa Lions Club and Ada County Lincoln Day Association. In his free time you’ll find Sebastian and his family enjoying the beauties of Idaho’s great outdoors. They are avid river rafters, campers, and hunters. Born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho, Mayor Robert Simison graduated from Whitman College with a degree in history and has spent his life focused on advancing policy priorities at the local and national level. Mayor Simison’s service to Meridian began in 2007 after he worked at the Nation’s Capital, and he has been a champion for common sense policy solutions to address community challenges.Elected as the 26th Mayor of Meridian in 2019, Mayor Simison focuses on meeting the needs of residents by delivering premier services to the public and improving the transportation network, while ensuring that Meridian remains a safe community built around families.Mayor Simson’s efforts have led to advancing road projects such as the Linder Road overpass, and the building of two new fire stations and a police precinct. Tom Dayley is a fifth-generation Idahoan. Growing up as the ninth of 12 children helped Tom formulate his basic values of the importance of hard work, reverence for the sanctity of life, and the need for personal responsibility. After receiving his BA in Political Science/Spanish at Brigham Young University, Tom continued his education with an MA in International Relations at the University of Southern California in Oxford, England. Tom served his country four years in the United States Air Force, where he received the Air Force Commendation Medal for meritorious service as the Non-commissioned Officer in Charge of the Target Materials Vault, Intelligence Division, 20th Tactical Fighter Wing.Tom learned the importance of listening to people as part of his several years as a Reagan Administration appointee. He served in the Office of Congressional Relations at the US Department of Agriculture; as deputy director of a President Reagan Private Sector Initiative at the Department of Health and Human Services; and in the Office of Post-Secondary Education at the US Department of Education.He has worked extensively on Idaho issues in several capacities, such as the Idaho State Executive Director of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (now the Farm Service Agency), the Executive Director of the Idaho Farm Bureau Federation, and Plant Industries Division Administrator of the Idaho State Department of Agriculture. He also worked as Idaho Subbasin Planning Coordinator for the Northwest Power and Conservation Council.Tom has also accomplished legislative, constituent and other duties for various members of the Idaho Congressional Delegation including Senators Symms, Kempthorne, Craig and McClure.An important part of Tom’s life has been active participation in community service. He has been involved with Boy Scouts of America, United Way, American Legion, and Rotary International. Chef Lou was born in Boise and when he was 11 days old, his family moved back to their home state of Alabama. He spent his first 11 years of his life there, but his family moved back to Boise in 1973 after bouts with bad weather and tornados made them remember how beautiful and peaceful it was in Boise.He attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in 1980.Lou graduated from the American Culinary Federation's Chef's Apprenticeship program in 1984.He has worked in restaurants since 1977. His first job was at the Havana Club-Bouquet restaurant in Boise where he washed dishes and bussed tables. He Chef-apprenticed in Boise at the Gamekeeper Restaurant in the Owyhee Hotel and the well-remembered Royal restaurant in Boise under American Academy of Chef member, John R. Fisher.Lou moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1981 and worked for Hilton Hotels until 1983. In 1983, he opened The Top of the Hoff restaurant in Boise, Idaho. From 1986-1988, Lou worked for Hilton Corporation in San Antonio, Texas, where he was featured in the national television series "Great Chef's of the West" along with the companion cookbook, "Southwest Tastes". Lou has won numerous awards for his food presentations and recipes. He has been a contestant on "Guy's Grocery Games"(although he didn't fare very well!)He attributes his love for cooking from his Mom & Dad. "My dad cooked great Southern foods and My Mom's history is from the Abruzzi Region in Italy, so I got a good mix of old fashioned Southern comfort food and wonderful Italian regional specialties." He has a love for both styles, but he really fell in love with Southwestern food when he was in Texas. Lou has a lot of fun mixing and matching these cuisines. From 1989-1994, Lou was a Corporate Chef for Ram International (Murphy's, the Ram).In 1994, Lou and his partner Ron Isaacs (Father-in-Law) purchased The Westside Drive-in, transforming the little Drive-In into a full blown unique Food experience. The Westside makes all their soups, sauces, and staple recipes from scratch, as well roasting all their meats and baking fresh bread. It has been a key ingredient to the Westside's success.The Westside has been the recipient of many awards over the last 22 years, and its recipes have been featured in 2 national Cookbooks. We are very proud to be a Boise institution! In 2009, the Westside was featured in the hit Food Network show, "Diner's, Drive-In's, and Dives." With such great exposure, Lou decided to open another Westside Drive-In in Southeast Boise in 2012. Now, there are two Westsides to serve you!He also 100% wholeheartedly believes that Happy Cooks make Happy People!Lou met his wife of 30 fantastic years, Renee, in 1985, when she was working with him at The Top of the Hoff. They were married in 1987. Their oldest son, Josh, is owner and operator the Parkcenter Westside, and their daughter, Emily, is the bookkeeper for both restaurants.Chef Lou enjoys cooking in front of people and he has had a cooking segment on NBC's KTVB Channel 7 for 23 years. About Lt. Governor BedkeThe people of Idaho elected Scott Bedke as the state’s 44th Lieutenant Governor in November 2022. He officially took office on January 6, 2023.Scott is a proud Idaho native and a 4th generation cattle rancher. Born in Twin Falls and a graduate of Oakley High School, Scott’s Gem State heritage stretches back even farther to the 1870s, when his great grandfather homesteaded in the Oakley Basin. Julie A. Ellsworth was elected Idaho’s 24th State Treasurer in 2018. Under her leadership, Idaho earned its first-ever AAA credit rating, strengthening the state’s financial standing and lowering borrowing costs for Idaho communities.Her conservative investment strategy has produced exceptional returns. In the current fiscal year alone, her office returned more than $566 million in interest earnings to Idaho taxpayers, easing financial pressures and reinforcing Idaho’s reputation for responsible fiscal management.Treasurer Ellsworth minted the Idaho Women’s Veteran Medallion, honoring the service of Idaho’s women veterans.  Secretary Phil McGrane Phil McGrane is a fourth-generation Idahoan whose happy, honest approach to public service earned him the opportunity to serve as Idaho’s 28th Secretary of State. Phil has definitively earned the title of an “Elections Nerd.” He started in elections the old-fashioned way—counting punch cards and training poll workers back in 2005 as a young election specialist. monte stilesI am not a photographer by education or formal training. I often describe myself as an “accidental photographer” since most of what I know is self-taught - born out of a pure love of the outdoors and the beauty of creation.My journey into photography began near the end of my career as a federal drug prosecutor where I supervised the Organized Crime/Drug Enforcement Task Force – a group of agents, analysts and prosecutors who investigated and prosecuted high-level drug trafficking organizations. During that time, I was an eyewitness to some of the darkest aspects of society. Although my legal career was exciting and challenging, the investigation of these cases put me in direct contact with all forms of greed, addiction, violence, abuse and neglect of children, and the loss of dignity, health, freedom, and even life itself. Without recognizing it, all of those things weighed on my heart, mind and soul in ways that I couldn’t imagine at the time.It took a mid-life crisis to bring me into the world of serious photography when I realized that decades of exposure to the darkest side of humanity had impacted my ability to recognize many of life’s simple pleasures.Up to that point in my life, my wife and I had experienced blessings that are found in a blur of family activities – ballgames, school, church, Scouts, camping, hiking, birthdays, holidays, and occasional vacations. But as our children left home to attend college and raise families of their own, I found myself working longer hours and enjoying life less.Now, many years later, I am blessed with opportunities to speak and train at local, state, regional and national conferences on a variety of subjects relating to the law, law enforcement, drug education, building strong communities, protecting and nurturing children, and photography.Because of my law enforcement background, many of my presentations require me to describe the grim realities of bad choices that negatively impact children, families and communities, but these opportunities also allow me to provide positive messages and solutions that can overcome feelings of hopelessness, pain, surrender, and despair.This is especially important in working directly with youth (ranging from those who are severely “at risk” to kids who seem blessed with every opportunity in life). At both ends of this spectrum I find that young people are eager to be “seen” AND heard by adults, and when given the right information and encouragement, they become eager to serve AND to lead. Increasingly, my youth workshops include teaching about photography and the great outdoors. My best days involve a photography/nature workshop followed by an outdoor excursion with a busload of kidsOne of my favorite photographers, Galen Rowell once said: “You only get one sunrise and one sunset a day, and you only get so many days on the planet. My name is Julie Van Orden, and I am a lifelong resident of Bingham County. I grew up and worked on a farm where my parents raised potatoes and wheat. I moved pipe in the fields and worked during potato planting and harvesting seasons. I graduated from Blackfoot High School, attended College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls and received a certification from the ISU College of Vocational Technology.As a child growing up on a potato farm, it was not uncommon to cool off in the summer by using an empty potato cellar as a playground. Running horses in the cellar as we played “pony express” was great entertainment. This was my experience as a child growing up in the Rising River area of Bingham County. Things have changed but there are still some common themes, playing outdoors and riding horses are good for the soul.I married Garth Van Orden in 1978, and we began our own farming operation in 1982. We have four children-Shaun, Dillon, Jason (deceased) and Lisa. Our two oldest sons are partners in our farming business and our daughter currently lives in Kyoto, Japan where she works for an IT university. My community involvement includes serving on the Snake River School District Board of Trustees (10 years). In 2012 I was elected to the Idaho House of Representatives and served for 6 years (Chair of the House Education Committee 2 years). I was then appointed to the Idaho Public Charter School Commission and the Idaho Potato Commission. As a substitute I filled in for former Senator Steve Bair during his last year in office before being elected to the Idaho Senate in the spring of 2022. During this term I was appointed to the Finance Committee and as the chair for the Health and Welfare Committee.Being involved in local and state government has been an important part of my life, but I delayed serving outside of my home until a later time because my family has always been and still is my most important focus.I am a member of the Republican Party because I believe that government overreach needs to be controlled. Regulations should only be used when they are a benefit to citizens. Making sure there is accountability attached to public dollars is critical in implementing programs that are useful and meaningful. Terry Ryan is the CEO of the Boise-based education nonprofit Bluum and Board Chair of the Idaho Charter School Network. He leads efforts to double the number of students in Idaho’s high-performing public charter schools and oversees Bluum’s strategic and operational activities, including overseeing an $8,63 million annual budget. He coordinates all activities with key partners like the J.A. & Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation, the U.S. Department of Education, and many Idaho public charter schools.Terry is responsible for Idaho’s $25 million federal Charter School Program (CSP) grant, which is Idaho’s second CSP grant managed by Bluum. Before Idaho, he was Vice-President for Ohio Programs and Policy at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute from 2001 to 2013. He began his education career as a teacher in Poland and worked with the Polish Ministry of Education on civic education issues. Brandon D Woolf,  Idaho's 21st State Controller, grew up on a dairy farm in Preston, Idaho, graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and earned a Master of Business Administration from Boise State University.  Mr. Woolf was appointed to fill the remainder of his predecessor’s term in 2012 and confirmed as State Controller by a unanimous vote of the Idaho State Senate. He was subsequently elected by the people of Idaho to a full term of office in 2014 and was reelected in 2018 and 2022. As State Controller, Mr. Woolf is responsible for accounting for all state expenditures by providing accounting services to state agencies, processing payroll for approximately 25,000 state employees, and operating the state’s largest data center. Additionally, he serves on the Idaho Board of Land Commissioners, as Secretary to the Idaho Board of Examiners, and on other state boards and commissions. Hallmarks of Mr. Woolf’s administration include initiatives to improve government transparency, efforts to increase efficiency and reduce costs via the consolidation of state IT infrastructure services and work to modernize the delivery of the accounting and payroll services provided by the State Controller’s Office. Idaho Tough on CrimeMy name is Robert Gillis. I am 54 years old, and have been married to my wife and best friend for sixteen outstanding years. Together, we are raising three incredible children, two who currently attend Boise State University, and one who just began her journey as a freshman in high school. Our family is deeply rooted in this community, and we truly love calling Eagle our home. We bought a home in the Treasure Valley in 2018, and moved to Eagle in early 2020. Service has always been at the heart of who I am. I currently serve as the President of Idaho Tough On Crime, where we have volunteered/worked alongside state legislators and law enforcement professionals on law-and-order legislation. I have authored and supported legislation in our state, and have routinely testified in front of various Idaho House and Senate Committees. I am also a Board Member with CrimeStoppers of Idaho, and a peer support team member for Courageous Survival, which is an organization that connects first responders, military veterans, and their families with vital mental health resources.Before stepping into these roles, I was dedicated to my twenty-five year career in law enforcement. I worked the majority of my career in our criminal street gang unit, working weapons cases, narcotics cases, violent assault cases, and organized crime. I also worked on some public corruption cases, completed Homicide Investigators School, Gang Investigators School, and Behavioral Analysis Training with the FBI at UCLA. Subsequently, I was assigned to two separate federal task forces with the FBI and DEA, and I was also assigned to a state organized crime task force. During those assignments I was certified to author wiretap warrants, and monitored wiretaps of suspects in our cases.I was also assigned a collateral duty on our agency's Emergency Operations Bureau Incident Management Team One for almost eleven years. As part of that assignment, I routinely completed Federal Emergency Management Agency certification and training. As a result of that collateral assignment, I deployed to many large scale brush fires, flooding events, and events of civil unrest. I received many commendations throughout my career for exemplary performance from our department executives, other agency chiefs, mayors, and city council members. More specifically, I was awarded two very coveted Distinguished Service Awards and Medals, along with a Commendable Restraint Award for an incident I was involved in with an armed suicidal subject, where I was able to avoid shooting him by using sound tactical communications skills.I eventually retired at the rank of Sergeant, after serving my last eight plus years in that capacity. Prior to my career in law enforcement, I spent more than five years in emergency medical services. While my law enforcement and medical professional careers have come to a close, my commitment to public service has not.I remain dedicated to giving back to our community, staying involved, and helping to lead with integrity and heart.
