    Stimulant

Some songs take 25 years to find their moment. The song discussed in this episode, Stimulant, was written by Twin Wolves, lifelong friends and collaborators Shon Aguero and Marcus Blair, around the turn of the century, tucked away with dozens of others, and recently recovered. Hidden Tracks puts these men in the room with their sons to discuss the things they were feeling back then. "Stimulant" is an allegory about the non-linear reality of the spiritual awakening process and how self-doubt and self-destruction can be persistent.

    Invisible

Some songs take 25 years to find their moment. "Invisible" was written by Twin Wolves (lifelong friends and collaborators Shon Aguero and Marcus Blair) in the early 2000s, tucked away with dozens of other demos, and recently recovered. In this episode, we trace the song back to its roots: a childhood spent largely as a latchkey kid, a young man who learned to crave solitude even as it edged towards loneliness. The tension never fully resolved. But somewhere along the way we found that we weren't truly alone even when we are by ourself. Faith fills in the space. Hidden Tracks puts two generations in the room as fathers talk to sons about things they wrote and created 25 years ago, when they were the same age their sons are now.
