We’re happy to introduce Ripley, Podcat 2.0. She’s our only child, so we gush. Are we already becoming cyborgs with our phones giving us photographic memory and access to Dr Google? I relate to the utter dysfunction of the Targarians, and love being back in Westeros. Hank’s ok watching it with me. Hank’s watched Netflix’s Maniac. I caught enough to think it’s weird but love the sets and acting. It’s time to revisit Starship Troopers. It’s funny and satire, but the marketing made us expect a serious action movie. Expectations weren’t met. And a racist little scandal came out of Kentucky. We’re glad things are changing and this isn’t tolerated.

This show is in memory of Chairman Meow. I’m scared I’ll never love any animal as much as I loved that mean grey cat. There is a kitty shaped hole in my heart. I’ve been loving television lately, and picking the shows. We both liked The Sandman. Hank liked The Boys until the end, and I think he’s only putting up with House of the Dragon because I’m utterly obsessed. We’ve enjoyed some ambient music from YouTube. The floating astronaut is amazing. It’s devolved into “floaty spaceman” here. NASA says not to worry, but they’re trying to change the trajectory of an astroid. So don’t look up but there’s a Double Astroid Redirecting Test going on. Hank is a big history reader, and he’s reading Hunter S. Thompson’s articles written during the Nixon era. It’s good to know that things have been this crazy before.

He let them make their own mistakes. Never Gonna Give You Up has hit over a billion views. Free Guy is a shockingly good movie. See it. And we’ve had it with our unvaccinated neighbors. Our state is getting decimated by COVID because nobody can tell them what to do.

Hillbilly Elegy hits Netflix. We agree it’s thumbs up, but a tough watch. Very realistic. This would have been a theatrical release. But movies are coming directly to streaming. What’s the future of theaters? Don’t let moose lick your car. As entertaining as it sounds, its bad for the moose. We are savoring Big Mouth on Netflix. I think Hanks secretly appalled I enjoy this dirty little show.

WV elects their first trans councilwoman. We’re guilty pleasure enjoying RuPauls Drag Race. This leads right in to watching Behind the Candelabra. Who else remembers Liberace? Ford Bronco taking advantage of 90’s nostalgia and odd coincidence. NASCAR has been progressive about the Confederate Flag, and they certainly surprised, warmed my heart and made me cry with the outpouring of support for their only black driver, who happens to be named Bubba. And we don’t fight about freedom of speech.

Introverts seem to be coping better with COVID stay at home orders. It is hard to be with the same person all the time. UK just cleaned house in their cheerleading program. There’s smoke but some people still say there’s no fire. Is it a Karen ruining the program? Joe Rogan just made podcasting millions. Blasts from the past mix up of Van Halen and Christie Brinkley.

We’re taking full advantage of the shut in. I’m learning to sew and gardening like a mad woman. We’re playing video games and connecting. Poor Chairman Meow has a full on panic attack when I tried to clean her ear. NOPE, she’s getting doped and taken to the vet. Did anyone know Tupac is alive and well and drawing unemployment in Kentucky? Had has some Daddy Drama and ends up playing Match Maker. Murder Hornets terrify me.
