Bisping vs Rockhold 2 - Brian Slagel

Never 'Count' Michael Bisping out! No, we didn't record this episode just just to take advantage of the man's documentary being released later this month...but given that happy coincidence, we will try to take advantage of that for clicks and clout.  Joining us this week in the CEO of Metal Blade Records, as well as author, podcaster, visionary, and dreamweaver, the one and only Mr. Brian Slagel.  For more episodes of Hindfight MMA, please follow the show on Spotify, Libsyn, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Wonderboy vs Whittaker - Chris Rini

Yes it's that time again, time to cash in on a big upcoming fight by looking back a previous one! It's time for HindFight! This week Ben and Jason look back at how Robert Whittaker fared against Stephen Thompson to see if there's anything to be gleamed ahead of the Aussie's rematch with Israel Adesanya. Joining them this week is the renowned Mixed Martial Arts artist, Bloody Elbow's illustrator, the brain behind "The Fine Art of Violence", pugilism's very own Pablo PicassKO,  Vincent Van Gogoplata, Johannes VerMirko Cro Cop...fine, that enough. It's Chris Rini. ...Also there's Salvador Dal-Eye Poke and if anyone knew Raphael's last name I would have said RapHeel-Kick Urbino. Nick Diaz vs Koji Oishi - Jason Stephens

We're back at it again, still doing the damn thing!  This week we looked back at Nick Diaz's bout with Koji Oishi, who is most famous for being the only UFC fighter to ever attempt to block punches by...punching punches. Joining us this week to discuss the fight is voice actor and impressionist Jason Stephens. Jiri Prochazka vs Brandon Halsey - Chuck Mindenhall

The MMA wordsmith joins Ben & Jason for some silly talk about a very silly fight. This week, they look at the 2018 Rizin fight between Jiri Prochazka and Brandon Halsey. Butt-cheek grabbing, WWE-style acrobatics and incredibly dumb submission defence feature prominently in this entertaining scrap.Chuck Mindenhall is the consensus greatest MMA writer of all time, having written for outlets such as The Athletic, MMA Fighting and The Ringer. He co-hosts The Ringer MMA Show alongside Ariel Helwani and Petesy Carroll. Fedor vs Maldonado - A Fight For The Old Ages

Who would have thought that just 10 episodes ago we would be finding ourselves here, finishing the allotted 10 episode run we'd set ourselves as a target for season two of HindFight. Truly a momentous day for you, your loved ones. and the MMA community as a whole. It's been a wild few months. From the criminally insane and veterinarian ringside physicians, to the best of groin strikes, eye gouges, jock-strap wrestling, ponytail pulling, and some of the best commentary you'll ever hear make a live broadcast, it's been fun. We sign off with a recent classic between should-be pensioners Fedor Emilianenko and Fabio Maldonado. Enjoy the fight, enjoy the commentary a little more. See y'all next season! Toodle pip, and we're off!

  9. 19

Royce vs Leopoldo - AdMinistering Some Kimo

UFC 3 was a crazy time for humanity. Outside the Octagon you had Bill Clinton becoming the President of the USA, Kurt Cobain killed himself(no relation), and Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos...but anyhoo, inside the ring we had an eight-man one-night tournament that included fighters that were kung-fu street cops,  a hillbilly from up near Canada that kept saying cum, and possibly the greatest fighter on Earth at the time taking on a debutant who was also a practising minister. Enjoy, we did!

  10. 18

Marquardt vs Palhares - Splitting Hares

Quartz is a hard, crystalline mineral composed of silicon and oxygen atoms. The atoms are linked in a continuous framework of SiO₄ silicon-oxygen tetrahedra, with each oxygen being shared between two tetrahedra, giving an overall chemical formula of SiO₂. Rousimar Palhares is a bastard who intentionally holds on to submissions and injures his opponents long after they've tapped. Go Nate. Enjoy.

  11. 17

Aguilar vs Magana II - Better Dead Than Seeing Red

We're back and with a Bengeance! Boy'o'boy do we have a women's bout for you this week! When Angela Magana stepped in to avenge her submission loss to Jessica Aguilar in the first bout of their trilogy, it's fair to say that there wasn't all too much bad blood spilt between the pair.  By the end of the fight however... P.S. Yes, that's the best title Jason will ever come up with, and yes, he knows it.

  12. 16

Tamura vs Makhmud - Aliev and Kicking

Outrageously mismatched fights are our kind of fights, so long as they're not in a major promotion. However, if they are in a major promotion, then they'd better come with a finish, and yes, I'm looking at you, Mike Jackson. You could say Aliev Makhmud only had a puncher's chance when he stepped in to fight Japanese legend Kiyoshi Tamura for his MMA debut, but that'd be giving too much credit to his striking ability. On the other hand, he bounces very well. Plus Sakuraba makes an appearance so it's worth it. Enjoy!

  13. 15

Wiezorek vs Shipp - Wiezorek Yourself Before You Check Yourself

That's a better title than that fighter or this fight deserves. What happens when a moveable force meets a stoppable object? Is it a dead pigeon on a windscreen without wipers? Is it a cuckholded husband clinging to the few remaining remnants of a once beloved relationship? Is it UFC prelims circa 2004? You decide.

  14. 14

Sanchez vs Kampmann - Living The Dream

Much like a Martin Kampmann's interview, we're gonna keep this description short, uninteresting, and leave our talking for when those bright lights hit that eight-sided chain-linked maker of men. One recommendation though, watch this fight in advance. If a picture can paint a thousand words, a video of two men wellying lumps off each other also paints a fairly stark visual too.

  15. 13

Takahashi vs Ismail - That's Fucking Illegal

Long before Dana White ever cared about the sanctity or morality of MMA promotion, other rules of the sport were being broken in a far graver way...Graver?...More grave?  Irregardless, this week's HindFight is far less palatable than anything Bjorn Rebney ever did, as we've a fight which includes every single illegal move known to the MMA world, although technically some were 'legal' at the time. If you loved/hated Old School MMA, christ on a bike do we have the fight for you. Enjoy!!

  16. 12

Faber vs Griffin - California Gloves

Did we just take the same naming pun of 'love' and 'glove' as our last episode and simply repurpose it? Well, no... because technically it's a portmanteau, but that's the only intelligent thing you'll hear referenced for this episode. We're back with another episode of HindFight MMA! This week we're headed out to the parking lot of a West Coast, presumably cash-only, hotel to see what's been described by Herb Dean, according to Urijah Faber, as "the greatest fight that nobody has seen".  See y'all in two weeks time! Same Khamzat time, same Khamzat channel.

  17. 11

Datsik vs Arlovski - From Russia With Gloves

We're back, and better than ever. With the standard set so low that may not be as much of a triumph as one would expect, but we'll celebrate it as such regardless. Kicking off this season he have a fight for the ages, but Jason's slept a combined total of four hours this week and he's uploading this at midnight on a Wednesday, so we'll let the talking do our talking for us on this one. Enjoy, and welcome to Season Two of HindFight MMA.

  18. 10

Gonzaga vs Jordan - A Debut to Forget

If a tree falls in a wood, and nobody is around to hear it, did we really have to waste our time watching this snorefest? Thankfully, the lack of action ended with highlight reel KO, and the fight had possibly the worst one-off commentator the promotion ever had to keep us entertained throughout.

  19. 9

Baroni vs Tanner - A Brawlroom Blitz

F*ck Larry Landless, and other such gems. Maybe the funnest fight we've covered so far, and easily the one that drew the most rage. Blackbelts in non-existent martial arts, career changing weight cuts, trash talk that could have been penned by a five-year-old. They truly were the golden days of men fighting each other in cages.

  20. 8

    Franklin v Brink - Godsmack's Wet Dream

"Brinks likes to get it on!" In more ways than one apparently.  In 2001 the Future UFC Hall of Famer, and MMA heartthrob, Rich Franklin squared off against ex-convict, and MMA pornstar, Aaron Brink. Swing for the fences, and if you can't reach the fences, stop playing baseball and start throwing bombs in a cage.

  21. 7

Montenegro vs Haga - Ah, Leave It To The Judges

Never leave it to judges! Y'know, unless you've done everything in your power to circumvent that, and then...wait a second. I'm not going to spoil it, have a listen instead to one of the weirdest fights to have ever graced Invicta and Women's MMA as a whole. Well, outside of she-hulks fighting pensioner grannies that is, but you know what we mean.

  22. 6

Bustamante vs Lindland - Two Legit 2 Quit

Lawyer, Liar, Matt's a Denier Murilo "The Terminator" Bustamante vs Matt "Zombieland" Lindland faced off in what was one of the more one sided, yet memorable, UFC Middleweight title fights. What a fight, what a story, how can you not just feckin' love MMA.

  23. 5

Pickett vs Seery - London Calling

Much like a Zombie apocalypse, nobody knew how much they loved a good two tap until UFC London came around. A short notice bout gives the then 34-year-old Neil Seery, coming off a Cage Warriors Flyweight Title victory, an opportunity to not only fight face the most notable fighter in his career in Brad Picket, but to finally showcase himself on the biggest stage of all, inside the UFC's octagon. Yes, it was pretty tough to not make a "Two Tap" vs "One Punch" joke there.

  24. 4

Maynard vs Edgar 1 - A Real SLOGerknocker

Good things come threes, but sometimes the first thing is shite. One of the best trilogies to ever grace the octagon, that doesn't mean that the first fight was great...or good...or...memorable...or... We covered it anyway, here's Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard 1, enjoy!

  25. 3

Condit v Ellenberger - Natural Born Barista Eats A Royale With Cheese

That's too long of a title for a non-title fight, but...it's worth it. For the episode AND the fight. Also, tangents galore. See y'all next week.  *galgore. Pun intended.  *That's not a pun, it's a portmanteau. *Portmantouche.

  26. 2

Masvidal v Lee - Banging at the Playboy Mansion

Who cares about Bodog on the Beach, pop-up stadiums in Abu Dhabi, or even this weekend's inaugural UFC Shite Island event? Today on HindFight we're looking at the mac daddy of all the crazy MMA venues, when Jorge Masvidal took on Matt Lee at the actual Playboy Mansion under the Strikeforce banner. Also, Michael Clark Duncan( The Green Mile's John Coffey) was there as a guest analyst, and yes, we talk about that heavily...That's

  27. 1

Ferguson v Dos Anjos - Timing Beats Speed... and Promotion

On the inaugural episode of the HindFight MMA podcast, we take a look back at what could and should have been one of the most division defining Lightweight bouts of the modern era, as the recently dethroned champ RDA looked to earn another shot at the belt by taking on future UFC Champi...future UFC title challen... Tony Ferguson. A lot of stuff happened at Lightweight after this fight, and a lot more didn't, but we tried to forget about that and watch it as the No.1 contender bout that it rightly was!
