The shows will feature the players, courses and perspective that make golf the greatest game, all with a decided Texas slant.A native Texan from Tyler, Wheeler played competitive golf in high school and at SMU where he earned a degree in journalism. After a career in insurance, Wheeler returned to his first love of sportswriting and has penned two books -- When Golf Was Fun and The Fringe Runner. He also hosted the radio show Texas Links on the Air for 10 years.
