Andy Stark is entering his 5th season as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at D2 D'Youville University. The Saints advanced to the East Coast Conference Semifinals in 2026 and continued the program’s upward trajectory since Stark took over the program in June of 2022.Stark previously served one season on the Baylor men's basketball staff under Scott Drew. During his time with the Bears, Stark helped the team to a 27-7 record, winning the 2021 Big 12 Championship and making it to the NCAA March Madness Round of 32 as a No. 1 seed.Prior to his time with the Bears, Stark served as an assistant coach at D3 Penn State-Behrend and at D2 Gannon University. He began his coaching career at Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Md. as a graduate assistant for the men's basketball team after having served as the head student assistant at St. Bonaventure while earning a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications.On this episode Mike & Andy discuss the transformative experiences that shaped his coaching philosophy, emphasizing the significance of nurturing relationships with players. Nick Lorensen just completed his second season on the La Salle University Men’s Basketball Staff as a graduate assistant under Fran Dunphy in year one and Darris Nichols in year two. Lorensen previously spent time on the sidelines as a coaching intern at Queens University (N.C.). Prior to his time at Queens, Lorensen had a focus on the media side of sports, with positions including scouting at The Portal Report, working as a Communications & Marketing Intern for the Bowie BaySox, and working as a communications intern for UMBC.On this episode Mike and Nick discuss his initial fascination with the sport datingback to his childhood. He shares how his family, particularly his father, fostered an early love for basketball that eventually led him to engage with the game on a deeper level, despite not playing in high school. Kip Ioane just completed his second season as the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at South Salem (OR) High School where he has led the Saxons to a 34-19 record . Ioane previously served as the head coach of the men’s basketball team at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon for 14 seasons and as an assistant for 8 seasons.Ioane also attended Willamette as a student-athlete and played for the Bearcats from 1997-98 through 2000-01. Maureen Hirt is the Women’s Basketball Head Coach at Denison University where she led the Big Red to the D3 National Championship in 2026. On their way to the title, the Big Red took down two unbeaten squads and became the first NCAC team to win the national championship since DePauw in 2013.In her 4 seasons at Denison Hirt has compiled a 75-36 overall recordHirt came to Denison after spending the previous season as the Associate Head Coach at Oberlin College, her third year on staff as an assistant for the Yeowomen. During her second year at Oberlin, Hirt was one of 10 Tara VanDerveer fellows across the country to be a part of the 2020 cohort for the Women’s Sports Foundation’s advancement of women in coaching.Hirt is the Co-Founder and Owner of Ohio Champion Basketball (OCB), a basketball skills and performance training company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since November of 2015, OCB has trained athletes from the middle school to professional level. She began her coaching career as the Guardian Angels eighth grade boys’ head basketball coach, a position she held for four seasons from October 2014-February 2018.Maureen played her college basketball at Kenyon College where she was two-time team captain and the 2014 North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year. She was a four-time All-NCAC player and three-time first-team all-conference selection, and is still the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,819 career points. Diana Cutaia is the founder of Coaching Peace and the author of the new book, "Protect Your Confidence", a year long journal style book in which Diana shares why confidence isn’t something you build It’s something you protect. In the book, readers will rediscover the confidence they’ve always had and protect it from the noise that tries to chip away at it.Diana's coaching experience includes serving as the head women's basketball coach at Curry College and as assistant women's basketball coach at Mount Holyoke College. Easton Bazzoli is the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Gannon University where he led the Golden Knights to the 2026 Division 2 National Championship. In two seasons as the head coach Bazzoli has compiled a 61-10 overall record. He spent one season at Gannon as an assistant to Jordan Fee in 2023-24 where he helped the team to a record of 32-3 and an appearance in the Elite Eight.Bazzoli Previously served as an assistant at Union University, helping guide the Bulldogs to a 96-71 record during his six seasons at the school.Bazzoli played his college basketball at NCAA Division II Cedarville (Ohio) University from 2013-17. Easton was a four-year starter for the Yellow Jackets, appearing in 114 games with 95 starts. Mike Williams is the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Grand Valley State University where he just led the Lakers to back to back D2 National Championships in 2025 and 2026. In his 11 years at the helm of the Laker program, he has amassed a 314-50 (.863) overall record and a 188-28 (.870) record in the GLIAC. He has led the Lakers to six GLIAC regular season titles, four GLIAC Tournament titles, four Midwest Regional titles, and two National Championships.This is the second stint for Williams at GVSU, as he was an assistant coach with the Lakers from 2002-2007, which included winning the 2006 Division II National Championship.Williams spent four seasons as the head coach at Davenport, where he compiled an outstanding 130-11 (.922) overall record. Before becoming the head coach at Davenport, Williams spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Michigan. He was also responsible for starting the women's basketball program at Finlandia (NCAA Division III) in Hancock, Mich. In his three seasons as head coach (1999-2000 to 2001-02), the team owned a 44-33 (.571) record.Williams coached for a number of years at the high school level, where he was head coach of the girls varsity team at Hancock High School from 1989 to 2000. Those teams recorded a 207-51 (.802) mark, winning eight district championships and four regional titles. For five seasons, he was also the head coach of the varsity boys team at Hancock, owning a 72-36 (.667) record.He began his coaching career at Ironwood High School, as head coach of the girls varsity team in 1986. Colin Doss just completed his first season as the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Murray High School where he led the Tigers to a 21-8 record and was named the 2026 KABC Region 1 Coach of the Year.Doss guided the program to a 2026 2A Sectional Championship, Murray High School’s first 2A title in school history and led the largest turnaround by a first-year head coach in the state of Kentucky as the team improved from 9 - 19 in 2024–2025.Colin previously served as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at John Melvin College in 2024-25 after being hired as the youngest Head Coach in College Basketball at 23 Years Old. Marcus Kahn is the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Mary Washington where he just led the Eagles to the 2026 NCAA Division Three Men’s Basketball Championship in Indianapolis. Kahn also took the Eagles to the NCAA Tournament second round in 2023 and the sweet 16 in 2025.Prior to Mary Washington Kahn posted a 153-27 record in six seasons at Cabrini College, including five consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances, including a run to the NCAA Championship game in 2011-12. His mark of 131-19 over those five years was the best record in all of NCAA Division III.In his first stop as a head coach, Kahn spent six seasons at the University of Pittsburgh - Greensburg. He was named assistant coach of the year in 2019. Ryan Kilbane just completed his first season as the Boys’ Basketball Head Coach at Strongsville High School in the state of Ohio.Prior to Strongsville Kilbane spent the previous seven seasons at Brunswick High School as the junior varsity head basketball coach (117-35 overall record) and an assistant coach on the varsity staff for Coach Joe Mackey. Edwin B. Henderson II is the author of the book, The Grandfather of Black Basketball: The Life and Times of Dr. E. B. Henderson. Henderson is the grandson and namesake of Dr. E. B. Henderson who organized the first athletic league for Blacks, introduced basketball to Black people on a wide-scale, organized basis, and founded associations to train and organize Black officials and referees. He also wrote and co-edited the first Spalding publication that highlighted the exploits of African American participation in sports and authored The Negro in Sports. Outside of athletics, Henderson was instrumental in founding the first rural branch of the NAACP, advocated for school desegregation, and held executive board positions with multiple NAACP branches.Overlooked for decades, Henderson and his wife, Nikki, began nominating Dr. E. B. Henderson to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005, and after eight years, EB was finally enshrined in 2013as a contributor. Mike Jagacki is a Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach at SUNY New Paltz where he helped lead the Hawks to the NCAA D3 Tournament in 2024 and to the SUNYAC Tournament in each of his 4 seasons. Prior to arriving at New Paltz, Jagacki spent 3 years as a Video Coordinator and Assistant Coach for the Women’s Basketball Program at Hofstra University helping the Pride to a Semi-Final appearance in the CAA Tournament and the first Top 5 conference finish in 5 years.Before Hofstra, Mike spent time as Boys’ Basketball Associate Head Coach at Combine Academy, a Post-Grad program in North Carolina. He started his career as a Boys’ Basketball Assistant Coach at his alma mater, Middlesex High School in New Jersey. Caleb South is currently the Boys’ Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach at Troy High School in the state of Ohio. He also is the founder of CPS Training where he has trained more than 50 D1 and D2 athletes.Caleb previously served as the Girls’ Varsity Basketball Head Coach at his alma mater Bethel High School where his team won their first league title in 36 years and went 28-19 during his two seasons as the head coach.
