It's the weekend before opening day of bow season 2025 and we are so relieved its finally here! We don't have a specific topic this week but we get into some fun topics, and ready to start giving you all live updates and stories again as they happen of our hunts this year.

Yes we are back for our hiatus, y'all can chill out now. But seriously we are back in the studio ready to start cranking out content for you with the new deer season quickly approaching. Thank you all for hanging with us on the break, we all needed a little R&R and our schedules were not aligning. But the good new is we are finally back and ready to get this thing going again. We are itching to get out there and do what we all love which is chasing those Whitetails. The content will be more frequent and regular now so y'all can rest easy.

We talk about the upcoming Deer and Turkey expo in Indiana. We also ramble and start dipping our toes into the 2025 Turkey season.

We talk about and hear the story of josh's 2024 deer kills and recap/send off the 2024 deer season. It was a good season for us here at HBC. and already can't wait until next year!

We catch you up on how our 2024 Rutcation went, as well as the story behind Zach's 2024 buck harvest. A very successful 2024 season for the HBC crew with a bunch of hunts and stories for you all to come!

Todd is on the board with an Indiana bruiser! He tells his story of the hunt and the kill, and we give our weekly update of movement and how our season is going so far.

The October cold front has finally pushed through, Zach and Seth were in the stand taking advantage of the great October weather. Some highs and lows were experienced, But in the end blood was spilled.

In this episode we give our first week in deer season update as well as talk about our first time ever hunting and what it was like. We get into our growth of hunting, improvements we have made, mishaps, learning lessons, and routines we do before and after the shot. Now that season is in, they will come weekly and possibly even have more than one a week when we start getting kills and will update you the day we kill!

Finally we are back in the studio! After a long hiatus from working long hours, spending time with family and doing house chores during the off season to make up for the time we will be sitting in the deer stand and away from home we bring you Episode 18! We catch you up on what we have been doing the past month and then get into opening day of deer season we have all long waited for. We get into some controversial topics and share our thoughts and opinions on how we feel on said topics and more. Be on the look out weekly for new episodes to drop now that season is in. We plan to drop 1 to 2 episodes a week with updates and content for you all to enjoy. We promise to overload you with content so instead of you waiting on us its the other way around! Can it please just be Deer season already!? We are chomping at the bit and starting to lose our minds a little more than we already have, it just needs to get here like yesterday. In this episode we talk different strategies we are putting into affect this season as well as new ways of approaching certain scenarios or situations. We have special guest Ken Clements in the studio in this episode, aka Todds Dad. He discusses the Roots of hunting and how it was back in the day before any of us were even a thought. We talk the evolution of deer hunting in indiana, the pros and cons of how much the sport has grown and if we think its going in the right direction, and tell stories of the good ole days.

This week we talk Seth and Zachs last weekend of turkey season grind that ends in Seth punching his tag just in the nick of time. We close out 2024 turkey season and say farewell until next spring, BUT we start to turn our attention and change our mindsets and start thinking BIG MATURE BRUISER WHITETAILS. We discuss our deer season prep and the things we are doing to hopefully improve and better our chances for our deer season this year. The goals, desires and dreams are starting to swirl in our heads as we start to focus and impatiently wait for that beloved and sacred October the 1st!

We have Dustin Patrick with Hoosier Drone Service and Recovery in the studio to talk about the new DNR passed legislation allowing Thermal drones to recover wounded deer in the upcoming 2024-2025 deer season. We talk what his company offers as well as the new technology and all that it can do. Dustin answers all the questions that we all have had regarding the rules and regs of using a drone for deer recovery, what to expect when calling a drone and licensed pilot to come find your deer, and the steps the DNR are taking to regulate this very useful and beneficial tool to keep it out of the wrong hands and used in an improper way.

Can't stop the flop baby!! Indiana turkey season has started off with not just one BANG but 2! We talk Todd and Zachs opening day turkey success, as well as some misfortune for the other two sorry SOBs in the group.... it's a sore subject... leave us alone.

This episode was recorded 2 weeks ago the night before our Indiana opener. We talk a little on the youth hunt that came in the weekend before and then get into our expectations, hopes and plans for Indiana turkey season. The HBC boys are on a killer roll so far this season, let's see if they can keep it up!

On this episode we share our thoughts and express our feelings on the using of a thermal drone for the recovery of deer and if it should be allowed or banned in the state of Indiana. We talk about possible rules and regs that could be applied on what could or could not be a useful tool in the recovery of game.
