Songs of Joy in the Valley of Tears is a book for meditation and reflection on grieving experiences. It includes topics we commonly talk about as well as topics we tend to avoid. Laurell served for 36 years in the United States Navy. She was also in the Pentagon the day it was attacked on 9/11/2001. Her office was two floors above where the plane crashed.
