Malaysians have been warned to be prepared for flash floods due to more thunderstorms and strong winds during the monsoon transitional phase from now until mid-May. However, until when are we still exposed to floods?

Malaysia is heading for an obesity crisis if eating and lifestyle habits do not change for the better, health and nutritional experts have cautioned. The thing is, are Malaysians actually doing something about it? 

A heavy downpour caused flash floods in several places in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (March 7) afternoon. The Malaysian Highway Board (LLM) in a posting on its official Facebook page informed that flash floods affected several routes including the Besraya Expressway from the city centre to Salak Selatan, from Kuchai to Salak Jaya and from Kampung Malaysia to Kuchai.

Police says over RM120mil was lost by 579 scam victims in Johor so far this year. Johor police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said that a total of 631 police reports had also been received in the same period. Why do you think these cases of scams are still happening?

For most governments in the developed world, the debate around waste management, an issue that has grown more pressing lately, has mostly centred around deterrence — that is to make wasting expensive by raising taxes to fund disposal. Women's groups said it is time the Malaysian government made comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) mandatory in the school syllabus to curb unwanted incidents such as unplanned pregnancies.
