Fibroids used to be associated with older women, but a doctor has shared with me about a 19 year old with fibroids, and now I have encountered 22year old, 25 year old, we need to start sensitizing early.

In a paper presented by the founder of PHIRC at the 17th Annual Africa/Diaspora Conference, California State University, she featured two articles written by me and another youth volunteer in her ngo newsletter. Paragraph 2 " We started a youth mentorship programme in 2005...yhe case story of two female youth volunteers from the Niger Delta who have benefitted from the youth mentorship programme of the Public Health Impact Research Centre are shared in this paper... (well..now I have read it out in this podcast, I hope you enjoy it. Reading it was like receiving a letter from a younger me😊💓✏✏).

This isnt the first time kids are putting their cute little faces in my session with their parents, but it's the second time kids are loving me during or after a session and the first time I have it documented..we were exchanging voice notes and this happened💕💕💕

Social work is a Course in the University that many students never apply for but are GIVEN , in place of the course they originally applied for. And because we have written the entrance exam for many years, we just take what we are given..sad, just getting by, not knowing how much light is at the end of the tunnel. I too was given a course I did not like...here's my story. And 9 years down the line, this unwanted course has become my pride. How can you make the most of an unwanted education

I remember when some guy was trying to give me Bible verse prescriptions, ie.. read these verses today...I said "pls dont"...cos wen it starts, u bcome their spritual project and they can manipulate you... and nothing more powerful than being the spiritual guardian of a person, u tell dem jump and dey jump bfore asking HOW HIGH! Turns out the person had strange spending issues & spirituality can't cure that. For girls looking for spiritual husbands👆🏽..lol..punny me🤣

Students from my courses are welcome to listen to this podcast. This was the silver linning for me, when I was going through what you are going through now and it made me a really better person. For example, if I were a baker and had to make 500 cookies for a company, I started to see my contribution for what it was, real value, not to impress the organisation, but to add to my accomplishments. That sense of wellbeing through achievement and value addition started to mean so much more to me, it was my real take away. Not the money, not the job, but the value that I added to myself while adding to the organisation. Enjoy this and share your own experience too.
