225. Brother, Knock It Off
Costarring Errick Greenlee & Marcus Robinson. Special guest appearance by Oroku Saki aka Thee Shredder. As much as I've championed Jaÿ-Z over the years on this very podcast, Jaÿ is still human. Very human. Handsome Bane threw the pass to Marc Rob for us to draft Jaÿ-Z songs and albums that were Hov on his lesser days. Marc Rob formulated the categories. Me? All I did was show up and record. Sometimes it be like that. We also break down our personal top 5 Jaÿ albums after the draft and then Oroku Saki called and left me a voicemail with his choices. Billionaire Hov isn't for everyone... In fact, any billionaire usually isn't for everyone. Our picks cover it all though.

224. That Dopamine
Although I was curious at first, I really have tried to take an anti-A.I. stance. As a creator, the idea that you can plug a prompt into a chat and get almost anything you desire is nuts (and a lot of it is stolen). Not to mention the water use just to run all of these bots. But what if I told you that I stepped a little too far into the world of A.I. and while I haven't succumbed, I haven't exactly stopped either...After that confession, why do fanbases get so enraged when a show or movie doesn't go the way they hoped it would go? I examine this and talk about Stranger Things 5 (spoilers).

223. The 10th Anniversary Spectacular
Costarring Errick Greenlee, Michael Lamerique & Marcus RobinsonOn January 8, 2016, I released the first episode of Hyphen Nation. Recorded from the parking lot of a local Morgantown Kroger with a laptop and a headset mic, never did I dream that my little podcast would be at 200+ episodes and still active 10 years later but here we are!To celebrate, I recruited the Brain Trust aka the Diamond Dogs Handsome Bane, Lam, and Marc Rob to celebrate with me. In the first half, we talk about Will Smith's career taking it's downturn, how no one has replaced Twitter despite multiple efforts, relive some 2016 things, and many more alleys and detours. In the back half, Handsome Bane carved out some time so he could still contribute more than just a visit, and we talk about the death of Hulk Hogan, where he's finding joy in professional wrestling these days, and God.Here's to another 10 years? Maybe? Who knows. Thanks y'all.IMPORTANT LISTENING INFO: I apologize for the quality of my microphone in the second half. I hooked my condenser mic up to Zoom and even after all these years, they don't like each other.

222. Locked In
In this episode of THE BARACK OBAMA APPROVED WORLD'S GREATEST PODCAST, I go back to the movies. I was unfortunately unable to make the most recent episode of We Should Do This Again Sometime but I give you my draft picks anyway (but seriously, go listen to that episode first)! (7:39) I talk about the latest season of King Of The Hill (39:31), which then leads to some recommendations before I end with my rant about the cost of streaming and WWE trying to push me out of the product (49:04). It might be back to the pirate life for me. Only time will tell.

220. The Five Goldberg Problem
(Costarring Michael Lamerique, Marcus Robinson & Errick Greenlee)Man, sometimes you need to hop on the phone and talk to the homies. So, for the last time on Skype (probably), I'm joined by Lam, Marc Rob, and Handsome Bane to simply cut up. Yeah, we talk about the Whitman Storm's basketball season. Yeah, apparently some of us don't like Superman. And yeah, Bret Hart stops by with jokes. But sometimes you just need to hop on the phone and talk to the homies.

The Hyphen Universe Show - Uma Thurman Offered Drake Her Track Suit
On today's program, I share my excitement out my second album HYPHEN coming out on May 3rd. Then I try to make sense of the Kendrick/Drake/Ross/20v1 beef that's been running rampant in hip-hop. 196. Three Years Wiser
Part of growing up is knowing when you were wrong. Because of that, I have to walk back some comments I made on Hyphen Nation 102 about Taylor Swift. I touch on her situation with her masters, Fearless (Taylor's Version), her songwriting prowess, and yes, for the last time, the Kanye of it all. Then I give flowers to Frank Ocean's nostalgia, ULTRA. and 9th Wonder & Murs' Murray's Revenge.

But then, it's been 30 days since the release of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME. You've been warned. I don't break down the whole film but I talk about Peter's conflict with one of the returning villains (three guesses who). 191. The Year In Sports 2021 (Costarring Marcus Robinson & George Gerbo)
Switching gears entirely, George and Marcus continue to put up with my shenanigans as I crack open some wine for our 2021 sports recap. I encourage you to do the same (or coffee or water if you don't drink wine in the mornings) as we toss around our picks for athlete of the year, biggest surprise, disappointing teams and more. And get ready for some of my (worst) hottest takes yet as I ignore what a category is really supposed to mean just so I can complain about two of the most dominant players in their respective sports! Seriously, it's really bad.

Plus, Marc Rob sings!

As the grocery store closes for the night, I call up Michael Lamerique, talk a little about Nas' new album Magic and his growth since linking up with Hit-Boy, discuss my love of the Back To The Future trilogy, and wrap up by announcing the 2021 winner of my Best In The World award!
