This is a very important part of the process because it will help us with our self-esteem. If we don't feel comfortable with who we are, we will always think that everyone is better than us. Therefore, we will not feel motivated to improve.[8:28] Second step: Date your inner critic. It is very important to make amends with our inner critic and learn to only listen to it when it wants to warn us of danger since many times, it can destroy our self-esteem, willpower, stress, or depress us. It is not an easy task, but we can do it.[14:20] Third step: Mastering your branding. This is one of the most important steps to level up your career. Episode 65 - Why do some women have way more male friends?
Why do some women have way more male friends?Maybe it's something you've ever thought about in your life, or maybe not, but this question can help us understand the evolution of our thoughts and personality through the years.Human beings need to socialize to survive. Commonly in our attempt to socialize, we seek to relate to people who have a way of thinking similar to ours, make us feel comfortable, or are fun to be with them.In childhood or teenage years, it is very common to see competition between women, jealousy, or gossip, and some women do not want to be part of that type of environment, choosing to be around men, even if we do not share similar tastes cause we feel comfortable and free—let's be honest, men are easier than women. The truth is that there are many reasons, and I would love to continue talking with you about them. Please listen to the episode and share some time with me. Grab a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, whatever you want, and let's dive into this subject.Don't forget to tell me your experience in the comments. I can't wait to read about your experiences and thoughts.EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS [1:00] Why do some women have more male friends? Because of competition between women.I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but, in my experience, as a teenager, I lived this, which is why, many times, I didn't feel comfortable around female friends. Gossip, and comments about how I looked or how I dressed, made me feel totally insecure about myself, and this is one of the reasons why I started to have more male friends without realizing it.[8:28] Why do some women have way more male friends? Because we feel more comfortable. This topic is totally linked to the previous one. When we feel judged, criticized, or in an environment that we do not feel comfortable with, we seek a comfortable environment. Men are much simpler in their way of thinking, acting, etc. It is rare to feel judged among them.[17:40] Why do some women have way more male friends? Maybe because we fit better. All human beings are different, and there are groups in which we are going to fit in or simply not. Obviously, we are not totally designed to fit in with men, some women feel more comfortable in a group full of women, but the more we understand who we are, how we think, and what we want, we can understand where we fit better.QUOTES“When you're feeling that you're not fitting in, maybe that problem of connection is not because of them, it may be because of you” — Patricia.ABOUT PATRICIA MANLEYPatricia Manley is the brain and heart behind the LA MANTUANA brand and was lucky enough to be born in the same city as women like fashion designer Carolina Herrera, Latin-American heroine Luisa Caceres de Arismendi, and music composer Teresa Carreno.
