Ignited Fortitude
by Bobby Valdez & Aaron Sharp
At Ignited Fortitude we feel called to make disciples as Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:18-20, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you”. We know every person has been equipped with purpose. Throughout life we let the world and enemy wear us down and doubt ourselves allowing that fire inside us to dwindle or extinguish. The desire of Ignited Fortitude is to make disciples and equip the saints by igniting and continuing to stoke that fire through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are here to come along side you on the path which you have been called, so that we will be found standing firm in contending for the faith but never losing sight of our first Love, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Your Gold Calf
When God feels silent, we don't wait, we build. What is your fix, who is your person, or the image you try to hold on to? We don't want a God who challenges us we want a god we can control, a god that will never disappoint. We might not be melting gold in order to make a god we can worship instead we forge idols from our tears or the pain we are trying to overcome.Get supportMenoffortitude.lifeSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/ignitedfortitude/donations

Spirit of Truth or Spirit of Deception?
Be careful not every spiritual message comes from God, John tells us the importance of testing the spirits. There are those that have the spirit of truth and others that have the spirit of deception, not to mention he lets us know that the spirit of Antichrist is also at work.1 John 4:1-6www.menoffortitude.lifeSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/ignitedfortitude/donations

Worldly Christianity
A boat flourish's in the water but there is a huge problem when water starts getting into the boat. The same goes for us a Christians we are to be in the world but the world is not supposed to be in us. Charles Spurgeon is quoted that the reason why Christians have so little influence over the world is because the world has so much influence over Christians.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/ignitedfortitude/donations

Whose Side Are You On?
With so much happening in our world—the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the murder of Iryna Zarutska, the beheading of Chandra Nagamallaiah, the rise in school shootings, and countless other tragedies it’s easy to get caught up in pointing fingers. We argue about who’s to blame, which political party is at fault, and what side we should be on.But as Christians, is that really what we’re called to? When Joshua confronted the Angel of the Lord and asked whose side He was on, the answer wasn’t what Joshua expected. Instead, Joshua himself was challenged. In this episode, we dig into that same question: Whose side are you on? Subtle sin of the Saints (Aaron Sharp)
We often pride ourselves on being followers of Jesus. We read, study, and consume theology, but are we living it out? James 4:11-17 challenges us to take an honest look at ourselves—not to use Scripture as a magnifying glass to expose others’ shortcomings, but as a mirror to examine our own hearts. While it’s easy to become quick to judge, our Savior came not to condemn but to save (John 3:17). In this section James challenges us that we need to overcome the subtle sins of judgment and legalism and embrace the transforming grace of Jesus.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/ignitedfortitude/donations

What's pouring out of you?
We’ve been on a journey through the book of James, constantly challenged to not just be hearers of the Word but doers—to look into the Bible as a mirror and examine ourselves, not as a magnifying glass to inspect the flaws of others. This week, James 4:1-10 confronts us with a deeper truth: our outward struggles are a reflection of inward battles. Many people seek therapy to change behavior, and while behavior modification has its place, true transformation happens at the heart level.Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, taught that sin is not just about actions—it begins in the heart. James follows this same line of thinking, exposing the root cause of conflict, pride, and spiritual stagnation. The question we must ask today is: Are we trying to modify our behavior, or are we allowing God to transform our hearts?Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/ignitedfortitude/donations

Prove It!
Jesus said, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Our words, our actions, and even our attitudes are the mirrors reflecting the true condition of our hearts. In James 3:7-18, we are challenged to examine how we live because the way we conduct ourselves is the living proof of what we believe. It's not enough to simply claim faith; our lives must bear witness to the transformative power of God’s wisdom.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/ignitedfortitude/donations

Your words reflect your heart
In James 3, the Apostle James gives us a powerful reminder that our words are not just idle sounds—they are a reflection of our hearts. We’re called to examine ourselves, not to hold up a magnifying glass on others’ lives, but to look in the mirror and ask: Do my words reflect the walk I have with Christ?Jesus taught, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” As children we may have clung to the saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Yet in reality, words can leave wounds that last a lifetime. Today, we take a hard look at how our speech reveals who we are.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/ignitedfortitude/donations

Fake or Faith?
Faith is one of the most misunderstood concepts in Christianity. Many people claim to have faith, but James challenges us to examine whether our faith is real. The Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine.”Not all faith is saving faith. Some faith is dead—it has no life, no fruit, no power. Some faith is demonic—it acknowledges truth but does not submit to it.True faith is active—it produces a transformed life and obedience to God.Today, James will hold up the mirror again and force us to ask:Is my faith alive or dead?Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/ignitedfortitude/donations

Prejudice Christian?
James calls out the sin of showing partiality—treating some people better than others based on status, appearance, influence, or what they can offer us. And while he gives the example of favoring the rich over the poor, this truth applies to many areas of our lives.Do we judge people by their appearance before knowing their heart?Do we show kindness to those who benefit us, but ignore those who seem unimportant?Do we give more honor to those with influence, while overlooking the ones who can do nothing for us?This is a test of our faith. ABOUT THIS SHOW
At Ignited Fortitude we feel called to make disciples as Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:18-20, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
