Igor Paleta

Igor Paleta is a Czech pianist and composer. His tracks integrate classical music, minimalism and film-like music styles.As a pianist he has the classic music schooling. He graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Prage. Then he frequented piano master classes at pianists such as Lazar Berman or Eugen Indjic. He has won a number of pianist contests. That all gave him great interpretation skills, exceptional technical dexterity and richness of sound.Today he specializes exclusively in interpreting of his works and improvisations. His music is very imaginative. He uses textures of classical composers - Ravel, Debussy, Rachmaninov, J.S.Bach - and transforms them into minimalistic tracks. He continues in minimalistic works by P. Glass, J. Adams and Hans Otte. He often makes use of improvisation as a creative tool.Albums: Clouds (2013), Gardens of New York (2014), Swimming Pool (2015)

    "Gardens of New York City" album is inspired by my trip to NYC. But it is not about the tough energy of the busy city. It is about quiet places in the middle of all that rush. Each of the seven tracks represents one of the seven particular "gardens" in Manhattan where I realized that quiet has more power when surrounded by the buzz.
