We're back with our 10th episode, and it's a little different: we decided that it was time we came right out and explained, for those of you who may have been confused: what do we mean by "fictives"? What IS our "metaphysical connection" to Star Wars and its universe? Why do we get so emotional over fandom happenings? Threw away my notes for this week in favor of an unplanned, but to us very important, episode on mental illness and the dark side in Star Wars, struggling with influences beyond yourself and being perceived as a villain - how permanent that label is - and Kylo as a symbol of personal redemption to many people struggling with MI. Also: growing up with parents who naturally fear your "dark" tendencies, Star Wars as family drama, the #KyloStory hashtag and what that means both to fandom and to us, and the idea of irredeemability and the fight to ask for help.
