I had the usual amount of nerves that come with interviewing someone I've never met in person. However, those nerves disappeared the moment J. Matt George is the guitarist for The Yes Ma'am band. He is a man with only first names. Even his middle name (which we reveal in this episode) is a first name. Jacob Marshall is a stand-up comic and show producer in the Dallas/Ft. Worth comedy scene. Hopefully this interview is good but, in truth, it was sabotaged from the beginning. Sadly, only a couple of days before this interview, I went to trim my beard and I had it on the wrong setting. After accidentally taking a large chunk of my beard off my face I had no choice but to shave it all off and regrow it. So through most of the interview I'm just sitting across from Jacob staring at his glorious beard wishing I still had mine to give my jawline the male equivalent of contouring and to hide my double chin. Jacob was kind enough to bring a high percentage beer which helped ease my beardless face woes. Jacob is really funny and I can personally vouch that his show producing skills are damn fine also. Chandler Cooper is a writer, rapper, singer and performer and social media star. Although he is likely not very wealthy, a lazy google search will confirm that he's worth millions of dollars and is the most successful rapper to hail from Cleburne, TX. Danny Tran is a stand-up comic that recently transplanted to Dallas, TX and is quickly making a name for himself in the local comedy scene and in other clubs around the country. Danny is one of the few comics that I knew very little about before bringing him. on the show. The only thing I knew for sure is that he is a funny stand-up comic. By chance I wore my 2024 Dallas marathon shirt only to discover that Danny and I both ran the same marathon before meeting each other. I also spent a decent amount of time explaining to him that I think he should attempt to write and perform comedy in Vietnamese for Vietnamese Americans.
