I mentioned that my website is OUT! Please check it out & let me know what you think :) I'd love to hear from you!xo,MollyI'm Glad You're Here

Psychedelics in Therapy: MDMA, Psilocybin & Ketamine with Pam Singer, PsyD
Welcome back to I'm Glad You're Here! This week's episode is a comprehensive rundown of MDMA, Psilocybin, and Ketamine and its role in therapy. This conversation around psychedelic-assisted therapy includes the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client and the particular training that therapists are undergoing to be prepared to work in this way. We discuss which psychedelics have been proven to be highly effective among certain populations, the contraindications for taking psychedelics, and how each psychedelic works on a physiological and emotional level. To have a thoughtful conversation, I am joined by Pam Singer, a clinical psychologist who graduated from IPI's Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Certification. Pam has undergone over a year of training to be able to speak to this new approach to therapy and has been working with clients individually for years before exploring psychedelic work.*At the time of recording, Ketamine is the only legal 'psychedelic' available for therapeutic work throughout the U.S.I encourage exploring resources such as MAPS.org that has published research and funding to support the growth in this field.

Feng Shui: Cycles of Where We Are and Where We're Being with Lois Perez-Kramer (Pt. 2)
This is the second episode with Lois where we continue talking about themes of the year, elements and Feng Shui principles according to the Chinese elements. I've listed some show notes to help outline what Lois is referring to in the qualities of the elements and animals of the 12 Chinese zodiac animal signs—rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig—which repeat on a 12-year cycle. The elements change every two years, as demonstrated in the bullets below. This year for example, 2024, is the year of the Wood Dragon. Next year is the year of the Wood Snake and last year, 2023, was the year of the Water Rabbit. The elements add different qualities to the animal of the year.Metal: Birth year ending in 0 or 1Water: Birth year ending in 2 or 3Wood: Birth year ending in 4 or 5Fire: Birth year ending in 6 or 7Earth: Birth year ending in 8 or 9Example: I was born in 1996, so I know this was a fire year. A quick google and I know it's the year of the Rat. So I was born the year of the Fire Rat. Flying Star Feng Shui:The next cycle to get familiar with here is that in Chinese astrology, there is also a 20-year cycle that corresponds to a number between 1-9. 2024 was the start of a 9-year cycle. This will last until 2044. Previously, 2003-2023 was an 8 year. So, I was born in a period 7 year (1996). 9 Star Ki System: EACH PERSON HAS 3 MAJOR NUMBERS: Find your 9 Star Ki NumbersThe Principal number represents your basic nature and who you fundamentally are. (If you’re familiar with astrology, this is like your Sun Sign)The Character number can tell you a lot about what you were like as a child, your inner self, and how you behave when you’re under pressure. (This is like your Moon Sign)The Energy number represents the energy you show the world and how others see you. (This is like your Rising Sign)For example, I'm a 4.9.9. So My principle number is 4 (element is Yin Wood-find the element related to your principal number.). Example, 2024 is a 6 Metal year for me. Look up what your principle number mean for 2024.There are a lot of systems at play here but it is helpful to remember that they are all based on cycles and can be zoomed in or out depending on your style and use of this tool :)

Natural Beauty with Facial Acupuncture: Dr. Jennifer Ng's Guide to Authentic Confidence
I'm excited to share this latest episode with you all! Dr. Jennifer Ng, DACM is a licensed acupuncturist based in Los Angeles, CA. I spent weeks with Jen doing facial acupuncture, working from what I thought my face 'should' look like to what my face truly does look like. The results? My facial symmetry improved, the skin tone of my face came back alive, my under eye circles melted away...but the real magic? I fell in love with my authentic look.We think we know what beauty is because we look around at the trends- from how people shape their eyebrows to what sculpting technique to use for sharp cheekbones. Jen has seen many transformations over her many years working with facial acupuncture. But her favorite is the transformation when people choose to embrace themselves and their true natural beauty. This is an introduction to the power of facial acupuncture, how our face can be seen as a physical manifestation of what is happening internally. We also cover the connection to TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine) as well as facial reading that makes Jen's work unique.Jen is on instagram @acu.by.jenyou can find her services in her link in bio :)

Finding Your Way Back to Your Body with Embodiment Coach Tara Teng
Welcome back to I'm Glad You're Here! Today's guest, Tara Teng, teaches us the value of embodiment work. A big focus for Tara is being able to let go of the self-help/ personal development need of fixing ourselves and rather see ourselves as whole and worthy with wisdom and memory within our bodies. Tara uses tools like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work to really get to the parts of ourselves that may have been neglected or hurt. Something I found powerful in our discussion is the fact that everyone is unique in their healing journey, in their needs, and in their experience, and so the embodiment work will look different for us all. This process is about self-trust and letting go of how society may have told us we need to heal. This episode reminds me of the value in connecting with our Nervous System, which is our body signaling for our safety. Embodiment is about making our bodies feel so safe and regulated, that we can start to understand how to communicate with them.Tara works 1:1 and facilitates circles and workshops. Find more on her website here. You can also connect with Tara on instagram, @misstaratengFollow @imgladyoureherepod for more updates <3

Kundalini comes from the sanskirt word Kundal, meaning 'coiled up' and once activated, moves from a dormant position at the base of the spine up the body. I found this article to be useful in describing the practice.
