In Ya Face Radiothon show with Thea Riley and James McKenzie
Thea Riley joins James in the studio for our Radiothon show tradition, featuring Thea's music and plenty of chat. Thanks to all the wonderful people who donated. Jacob & Mercedes from A Friday Rave join us for an encore at the end of the show. Thea opens up about voice dysphoria, Autism and challenges as a trans woman in relationships with men. Some fans disowned her when she transitioned, some DJs embraced her, but she has always continued her career, even when living in a hostel, precariously housed. Thea always pivots creatively. Inspiring. Thea had an internationally renowned career in trance music, writing and signing collaborations with global DJs. Many have danced to her hits in clubs around the world. Yet she has struggled for recognition in Australia, especially from our very own LGBTIQA+ community. Despite this, she is optimistic, breaking into song to give us a snippet of her upcoming release with US rapper Darwin. A fun, candid and spontaneous interview that includes three of her trance classics and two more recent songs. GiveNow - In Ya Face 3CR Radiothon 2026
