Into The Neuroverse with Colin Hoult
by Colin Hoult
A new podcast all about Neurodiversity! Actor and Comedian Colin Hoult (you may know him from Afterlife, Black Ops, or as Anna Mann) invites you on a journey into his brain and maybe yours! After getting a diagnosis of ADHD and contemplating pursuing a diagnosis of Autism Colin has, perhaps foolishly, decided to document all this on a podcast. He'll be chatting away to you like an absolute loon, hopefully giving some (completely unqualified) tips and ideas for navigating the world, being generally a least quite funny, sometimes deeply moving and every 3 episodes bring on a guest! If you are neurodiverse, think you may be neurodiverse or just need to fill a 45 minute train journey with absolute waffle this is the show for you! Hosted on Acast. The Maze Of Marvels
Comedian and Actor Colin Hoult, has taken another step into the Neuroverse as he explores his neurodiversity, and maybe yours! Describing and understanding his ADHD and possible autism - he navigates this new landscape and hopefully brings you along for the ride. This week he searches for treasure hidden in the constant stress of dealing with neurotypical squares and their neurotypical square world. Topics discussed: not getting on 8 out of 10 cats, Rejection sensitivity disorder (see previous), Thom Tuck, St Germaine, Going Scottish, piling on loads of plates, finding your treasure map, other very messy metaphors, bit about being on Derek, moans about not working enough, the thrill of live performance, pissing in the garden and ends with a vaguely recognised poem from one Richard Selig - did he ever exist - can anyone find him? ST Germaine everyone!SUPPORT THE SHOW patreon.com/colinhoult - at some point I will need money to keep me doing this. Thanks in advance! Might as Well Be Dead
In the first of Colin's dives into the Neuroverse, he heads for the Zone of Bad Mantras, where we learn terrible things what get stuck in our heads. Is there a way to unpick these terrible ideas such as 'Might as Well Be Dead' (the title) - God I hope so! Colin explains what's going on in this show, why he's doing it, how to hit the red button, his need for an extension, and the beginning of his journey into discovering if he is as he believes, not just ADHD but autistic too. Its going to be a hell of a long journey, hope you can join us for the ride. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
