The Yang Jianping Intangible Cultural Heritage Craft Museum is located in the historic old town of Chaozhou. The museum houses an extensive collection covering over 30 varieties across the eight major categories of traditional Chaozhou crafts. Spanning five floors, it features eight exhibition halls and eight functional rooms, showcasing a total of 2,044 treasured pieces accumulated over the years by Master Yang Jianping.Among the museum’s most prized exhibits are the Nine-Dragon Screen, a Chaozhou embroidery piece that won the prestigious Gold Cup Award at the Hundred Flowers Awards for Chinese Arts and Crafts, and a one-of-a-kind double-sided embroidered cat, the only example of its kind in the world.The museum also presents a complete set of instructional materials on Chaozhou embroidery and a large collection of traditional paper cuttings, many of which were created by early Buddhist nuns and temple attendants.
