Irish Penal Abolition Network Podcast
by irishpenalabolitionnetwork
The Irish Penal Abolition Network (IPAN) is an advocacy group formed in 2024 by activists, academics, community members, and people with lived experience of the prison system. We promote prison abolition as an alternative to carceral systems, aiming to reduce prison populations and prison expansion and invest instead in communities. The goal of this podcast is to provide education and information about the Irish prison service through an Irish abolitionist lens, and ultimately, we want to encourage change and for you, the listener, to act.
